View 7 RepliesI am having a problem with tif and psd, (& I see now it’s on some jpg) images displaying properly on my XP SP3 desktop. The thumbnail looks ok, but the preview image appeared rippled, and none of the original image is discernable.I’m using PSCS4 Extended. I’ve looked on my Vista Ultimate SP2 laptop and for the same program the images are displaying fine. The Adobe programs on the desktop are up to date .The images in question on the desktop appear fine in Photoshop or IrfanViewer. I have copied on of them to the laptop and in Bridge on the laptop it appears fine.I’m assuming that somehow, Adobe Bridge has got corrupted on the desktop. Is there any way to cleanly reinstall just bridge?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded from PS CS3 direct to PS CS6. I have an issue with the display of raw images taken by my Canon PowerShot S70 camera (.CRW format). Many of the portrait-style images are displayed as landscape. This appears to be random as not all portrait images are affected.
I did not have this problem with CS3. I have discussed the matter with the Adobe helpdesk which suggested various remedies (purging cache, resetting preferences) to no avail. They came to the conclusion that PS CS6 does not fully support the file structure generated by this camera in that it cannot detect from the file data that it should be displayed as a portrait image rather than as a landscape image.
I have two issues with this. Firstly, if true, it means that PS CS6 has taken a slightly backward step as far as I'm concerned and secondly, it does not answer the random nature of the incorrect display.Obviously I want these images to be displayed correctly. I can rotate them in Bridge/PS manually, but I have a lot of them scattered over many folders and it is a task I would rather be automated.
This issue also occurs in Windows 7 Home Premium, but as I was using Win 7 HP with CS3 without this display issue, it appears to be an Adobe problem as it only occurred after the upgrade to CS6.
I am unable to display raw files automatically when downloaded into CS3 bridge from a D300 camera. My working system consists of : Windows XP, PSCS3 with camera raw_5_3, dng converter 5_2. Interestingly, similar raw files from a D70 camera display as expected without any problems. Is this a problem with the D300 camera?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a textbook that's a mix of new images and pickups from the previous edition. I've noticed that many of the new images I've created with transparent backgrounds and saved as PSD files in CMYK mode display as negatives in Bridge.
I just now made some edits to a legacy file that was displaying properly in Bridge. I added some layers, deleted other layers, and saved the file with no color profile, and as soon as it refreshed in Bridge, it was a color negative.
what's going on here? I'm using Photoshop and Bridge CS5.1 on a Mac running OS 10.8.4.
When I open bridge CS5 i see my jpegs thumnails for a second, then they all convert to the jpeg icon and I get this message.
"Could not complete your request because a SOFn, DQT, or DHT JPEG marker is missing before a JPEG SOS marker".
I try rebuildign the cache then they all conver to the icon. I have thousands of jpegs. How do I corect this?
They do open in the mac preview, but that is useless for lage folder previews.
How can I get photos in folders on an external hard drive to display in Bridge? At present only those located in Users>Pictures will display. I'm in CC.

Whenever I drag or use the Move command in Bridge to move a file from one folder to another I get the most feared message "Adobe Bridge has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working. Windows will close ...you know the rest". I should also say the files are in fact moved, and I am able to relaunch Bridge immediately.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using CS4 Bridge 3.0.0.0.464 When I double click on a JPG file it opens in Photoshop. I prefer to edit my JPG files with Bridge camera RAW. At present, I have to right-click and choose 'open in camera RAW'. Is there a workaround for this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI process files in ACR and then save them in a folder as jpg I go back to Bridge and when I move the selected RAW files to another folder the jpgs move to the new folder with the RAW files. Even though the jpgs I created are not selected they move to the same folder. The thumbnails in Bridge have a small circle in the upper right hand corner with two tiny arrows pointing up. I do not know what these circles represent or if they have anything to do with my problem. I would like to be able to move the selected RAW files to another folder without having the jpgs moved to this file. Again, the jpgs are not selected and the RAW files are selelcted.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm hitting delete key, one above the arrows, and sometimes the files go to trash, as did in CS2, and sometimes they become hidden files.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI changed my preferences to remove the check-box "prefer Adobe camera RAW for Jpeg and TIFF files" , restarted Bridge and tried to open a JPEG from bridge directly into photoshop. But double clicking on the image in bridge opened "paint".
So I change the Bridge preferences back to Prefer ACR for JPEG again, restart Bridge, and then bridge tells me that it cannot find Photoshop CS2. CS2 is not even loaded on this machine anymore.
So then I go to the file type associations preferences and "browse" to the CS3 version of photoshop, restart bridge, and double click on a JPEG and it again says that CS2 cannot be found. I change the association again using the "browse" to CS3 and then it opens the image up in "Paint" again.
Why won't Bridge open JPEG's in ACR anymore?

I have upgraded to Adobe Camera Raw 3.4 to process RAW files from my EOS 30D (*.CR2)
However when I open bridge I cannot preview these files. Is bridge suposed to preview RAW files?
I recently upgraded from cs5 to cs6, I have downloaded upgrades for photoshop, bridge, camera raw, and adobe dng converter.
My problem is that the raw dng, and raf raw files from my fuji x-e1 camera are showing up in bridge as icons only, and not as thumbnails. How do I get the files to show as thumbnails. if I double click they will open in camera raw and i can see the pic there.
Photoshop/Bridge prevents deleting files. After I'm done with a job I store it on the server then try to delete the folder or files I've finished from my desktop. No can do.
I found I have to shut down Photoshop and Bridge then I can move the stuff into trash.
I have downloaded cs6 on a windows 8 pc and bridge wont preview my nef files even tho camera is listed in camera raw

View 2 Replies View RelatedBridge has no problem showing them, but associating them with PS CS6 is antother story. PS CS6 can open and edit those files when you drag them by hand into the workspace, but the preferences box of Bridge doesn't seems to know this kind of file type.
