Photoshop :: Bridge Will Not Display Image
May 8, 2013Here is what I get when I try and view an image in Bridge. It has been working fine and then all of a sudden I can't view images.

Photoshop :: Display In Bridge On One...
Jun 22, 2009I am having a problem with tif and psd, (& I see now it’s on some jpg) images displaying properly on my XP SP3 desktop. The thumbnail looks ok, but the preview image appeared rippled,and none of the original image is discernable.I’m using PSCS4 Extended. I’ve looked on my Vista Ultimate SP2 laptop and for the same program the images are displaying fine.The Adobe programs on the desktop are up to date .The images in question on the desktop appear fine in Photoshop or IrfanViewer. I have copied on of them to the laptop and in Bridge on the laptop it appears fine.I’m assuming that somehow, Adobe Bridge has got corrupted on the desktop.Is there any way to cleanly reinstall just bridge?

Sep 20, 2012I have recently upgraded from PS CS3 direct to PS CS6. I have an issue with the display of raw images taken by my Canon PowerShot S70 camera (.CRW format). Many of the portrait-style images are displayed as landscape. This appears to be random as not all portrait images are affected.
I did not have this problem with CS3. I have discussed the matter with the Adobe helpdesk which suggested various remedies (purging cache, resetting preferences) to no avail. They came to the conclusion that PS CS6 does not fully support the file structure generated by this camera in that it cannot detect from the file data that it should be displayed as a portrait image rather than as a landscape image.
I have two issues with this. Firstly, if true, it means that PS CS6 has taken a slightly backward step as far as I'm concerned and secondly, it does not answer the random nature of the incorrect display.Obviously I want these images to be displayed correctly. I can rotate them in Bridge/PS manually, but I have a lot of them scattered over many folders and it is a task I would rather be automated.
This issue also occurs in Windows 7 Home Premium, but as I was using Win 7 HP with CS3 without this display issue, it appears to be an Adobe problem as it only occurred after the upgrade to CS6.

My working system consists of : Windows XP, PSCS3 with camera raw_5_3, dng converter 5_2. Interestingly, similar raw files from a D70 camera display as expected without any problems. Is this a problem with the D300 camera?

Aug 18, 2013I'm working on a textbook that's a mix of new images and pickups from the previous edition. I've noticed that many of the new images I've created with transparent backgrounds and saved as PSD files in CMYK mode display as negatives in Bridge.
I just now made some edits to a legacy file that was displaying properly in Bridge. I added some layers, deleted other layers, and saved the file with no color profile, and as soon as it refreshed in Bridge, it was a color negative.
what's going on here? I'm using Photoshop and Bridge CS5.1 on a Mac running OS 10.8.4.

Sep 30, 2012When I open bridge CS5 i see my jpegs thumnails for a second, then they all convert to the jpeg icon and I get this message.
"Could not complete your request because a SOFn, DQT, or DHT JPEG marker is missing before a JPEG SOS marker".
I try rebuildign the cache then they all conver to the icon. I have thousands of jpegs. How do I corect this?
They do open in the mac preview, but that is useless for lage folder previews.

Jun 7, 2013When I open Bridge on my laptop I find that instead of images from the DNG files appearing, what I get are small icons having DNG and a camera iris. This happened after I reinstalled the CS6 program. (I managed to lose the icuuc40.dll file and received a message advising to reinstall the program).
I use my laptop when travelling. I download all files from the camera onto it and view them in Bridge. After returning home I transfer the files to the PC desktop for processing etc.. Bridge is working normally on the desktop.

Dec 7, 2012CS6 Bridge, text in the Folder window freezes following loading of an image from Bridge into PhotosShop CS6. Bridge is render useless. Closing Photoshop frees up Bridge. Bridge does not refresh the type in the folders window and occassionaly leaves partial tiles of images in the content window. This occures esch time an image is loaded from Bridge into Photoshop.

Photoshop :: CS2 Bridge - Instead Of Image Thumbnail Just An Icon Shown?
Feb 4, 2013I have been using Photoshop CS2 for many years and have constantly "lived with" a bug in Bridge whereby, instead of an image thumbnail, there is just an icon shown.
This is the same icon that appears before Bridge has read all the images to produce the thumbnails - but some of them get "stuck" and there seems to be no way to make Bridge "read" the image and produce the thumbnail. Pressing "View" "Refresh" (or PF5) does not work. Is there any fix I can download for this?

Jan 4, 2013In Photoshop CS5: when you closed an image, you'd automatically go back to Bridge, where you could open the next image.
Now you close an image, and you stay in Photoshop with a blank screen.
You have to go to the dock, and click Bridge.
How can I get the CS5 way back, so I don't have to do two unnecessary steps each time?

Bridge CS6 has problems updating the previews of images that get edited.While creating preview from scratch is rather swift, updating previews takes about six minutes on a MacBook Pro retina with 16Gb RAM.After one minute the preview gets updated, but then the busy signal in the low left corner just keeps turning and turning for five more minutes.Why is this happening? Is Bridge still busy with those previews? Why? The preview has already been updated, why those extra five minutes of business?
2. Image deleting is painfully slow.
You type Command + Delete, and nothing is happening for five, six seconds.Only then the images get deleted. Has noticed these two hold-ups?
I just went back after writing and editing this post, and Bridge is still busy with the preview update. This is now 15 minutes after the image had been edited. The busy signal in the lower left corner just never turns off again.
It feels like Bridge has also problems working in the background. As soon as you open e.g. a browser to bridge the waiting for bridge, Bridge seems to keep the busy signal rotating, but not actually doing anything until you close the browser again. Which is why I just had a 15 minute wait for an image preview to finally update. The time spent in the browser did not "count".

Lightroom :: Display Corruption - Image Info / Top Of Image
Aug 17, 2012I'm running Lightroom 4.1, but this issue has been present since Lightroom 3.0 using two different, modern ATI Graphics cards, same Sandy Bridge PC.
On any image, shot with any camera, after a few minutes the info display (image information) and the surrounding area will corrupt. It looks like there's a rectangular box about the width of the image and the height of the info display, where the border of the rectangle is made up of bits of the image, hope that makes sense.
Anyway, pressing "I" to cycle through the info display removes the corruption, but then it returns a few minutes later.
Photoshop :: Date Of Creation After Making Bridge Create TIFFs With Image Processor
Feb 12, 2013I went through about 100 files and did what I wanted in Camera RAW (started out with NEFs). Thereafter I had Bridge make TIFs of all the files in the folder using the PS Image Processor.
Now, looking at the TIF folder in Bridge, I find that about 80 of them has a wrong creation date (I checked the Preferences and I have asked for the date of creation - and not the date of modification). As I watch (several minutes) Bridge changes some of the dates to the ones known to me to be correct - but not all. If I close Bridge, restart Bridge and open the folder again the same happens, i.e. it starts all over. Even stranger is that the Windows Pathfinder have problems with the same files - i.e. does not show the date of creation at all.
The date of these 80 files are all the same - and they have been edited over several days!
I have done a lot of work on those files and would hate to start all over. I checked and of course the dates are the original in the RAW folder that I started out with.I am sure that I do not have any bugs in my PC.

Jul 9, 2012After opening Bridge CS6 (and using mini Bridge), there are no thumbnails showing. I've pointed Bridge to just one folder with less than 5 photos in it and it cannot even display them. I'm running a recent Mac Pro with 16GB RAM and kick graphics card.

Photoshop :: Bad Image Display Quality In CS5?
Sep 16, 2012I had CS5 installed over a year ago and running without any display problems until recently. About a week ago I noticed severe banding in the high light areas of my images when I opened them in PS. At first I thought there was something wrong with my camera, or just plain bad images, until I realised that the images display without any banding in Windows Photo Viewer or any other viewer! I'm running Windows XP SP3.
I have not made any hardware, software or other changes recently (except installing a Nik S/W plugin – which I subsequently uninstalled but that did not solve the problem). Also no changes in colour profiles etc. I also updated CS5 to the latest version; disable/enabled Open GL acceleration in the preferences without any effect on the problem.

But when I open my images they appear in different shapes and most of them are barely visible due to a crosshatch pattern on them.
