View 2 RepliesI am running CS5.5 on a MacBookPro. When I try to use Mini Bridge the little gray panel opens up but there is no "browse files" button, I can't open settings, I can't search, I can't do anything with it! Bridge works works just fine. I am including a screen shot of my MB window to show what I am seeing. I have tried everything I could think of including restarting Bridge and PS. Is there something else I need to try other than a complete reinstall of the App, which I will not do just to get MB to work.
View 7 Replies View Relatedpurchased the 5.5-upgrade to 6.0 Designpremium. Everything seems to work properly except the bridge, wich won't start as stand-alone - works only as Mini-bridge inside photoshop.

While trying to start the bridge from photoshop ("go to bridge") results in a bridge's crash...

In my former installations (5.0 and 5.1) everything was ok ...
when in photoshop mini bridge doesnt open bridge and mini bridge doesnt show images, just grey boxes with file names
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter opening Bridge CS6 (and using mini Bridge), there are no thumbnails showing. I've pointed Bridge to just one folder with less than 5 photos in it and it cannot even display them. I'm running a recent Mac Pro with 16GB RAM and kick graphics card.

I had this problem recently and found a fix involving deleting the Switchboard folder which worked for a while but the error has returned and repeating the fix no longer works.
When I open mini bridge in CS5.1 is empty and I can't navigate any folder. I have Photoshop installed in Macbook Pro OS X Lion

View 8 Replies View RelatedI came here and found a download that fixed mini bridge for two weeks. Now back to bad behavior. Running Win 7.Hangs up "waiting for Bridge CS 5" but never finds the content.
View 26 Replies View RelatedI have already tried deleting the folder and rebooting the computer, I have tried creating a new user account, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the entire package and I cannot get Mini Bridge to work at all. It just keeps going to "Mini Bridge waiting for Bridge CS6..." and then never finds anything. I am having this issue on both my Macbook Pro Retina 15 and my MacBook Pro 13 (Early 2011 model). I also made sure that both Macbooks are fully updated as well as all CS6 software titles.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI currently have CS5 extended installed on a desktop (xp 32 bit) and a laptop (Win7 64 bit) all files are up to date. When I start Photoshop create a new file, start mini bridge to select the file I want to copy and paste into my new file. I select the file,it opens in Photoshop I press these key strokes (control-A; control-C), move to the file to be copied to and press control-V. The file may or may not be copied. Even pressing control-V several times. You can press edit; paste and still nothing happens. But press edit; paste special; the file will be copied into the file. If the file is copied on the first try go back and select a different file and repeat the process. To get the file pasted into the document I; created a new layer; control-V; file is copied to a layer. If I create a new layer then turn off this layer press: control-V the file can also be copied to a layer. All of the above is when I start mini bridge to navigate to the files.Â
Â
Now close Photoshop and Bridge. Restart Photoshop start Big Bridge (not mini bridge)! Create a new file; use Big Bridge to navigate to the file you want to copy into the new document, files opens into Photoshop enter the keyboard short cut or tool bar to select the file, copy the file. Now switch to the file to be pasted into press;control-V or select; file; paste; now everything's works. Try this process with different files to be pasted into the new document and it works flawless every time.
Just downloaded PS6 and when I try to open a pic from the mini bridge by pressing O it opens in Windows Live Photo Gallery instead od PS.

I have CS6 running on an SSD. Initially with CS6 Beta I found I had to run as Administrator. I eventually discovered how to run as a user by going into Preferences / Performance and setting my scratch disk to my hard drive.
Â
now I have the CS6 release. I deleted CS6 Beta as instructed and followed directions for the install. CS6 works fine except for the bugs that I reported in the beta forum . My problem is now that Bridge insists on running as Administrator. If I try and run it as a user, it comes up and quits immediately. It doesn't make a wisp of difference where I set my Cache file, SSD or hard drive. I can even deal with that, however now I can't start Bridge from Photoshop! I click on File / Browse in Bridge and nothing happens. If I start Bridge then go to Photoshop and click on File / Browse in Bridge, still nothing happens. I have to manually switch to the Bridge window.
Bridge won't start-up either from CS3 or the XP Programs areas in Startup. I downloaded and inrtalled the CS3 Bridge 2.1.1 update and it did not help. I get the Message: The app failed to initilize properly (Oxc0000022). Click OK to Terminate. Please help if you can, thanks. phil PS only change to my computer that I know of is I installed an ran Perfect Image defrag program.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHad the same problem with CS5 and beta CS6, Bridge start up scripts won't load, meaning the output pane is blank. Over the past 2 years, 2 different computers, 3 hd's, clean installs on all and I keep getting the same problem.
Â
This time, standard install on Lion 10.7.3 mac pro mid 2010 16gb RAM ssd, permissions repaired before/after install, disk warrior run before install. Works fine on my laptop.
I am running Photoshop CS6 (Creative Cloud subscription) on a Windows 8 machine. While Photoshop itself starts perfectly OK when I click on the Bridge ikon I get a revolving little circle for a few seconds, then nothing. The same happens when I try to start it from within Photoshop. Mini Bridge says it can't start without full bridge running.Â
How to get Bridge to run. The only clue I can give to what could be the problem is that I had CS2 running on the machine prior to installing CS6 and I wonder if there is still some detritus from that installation hanging around. By the way I have searched the forum and tried most of the cures suggested in the past for similar problems on earlier versions of Photoshop. It is a anoyance rather than a game stopper for me as I manage my photo library using Light room but I would like to sort the problem out.
The setting: Start Bridge at Log in, so that it is available in the background, will open bridge fully on system start up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter selecting it in preferences, Bridge will open full on System Start up, and not in the background to be ready when needed.

View 4 Replies View RelatedBefore migrating to a new computer, when I clicked to open PS CS3, Bridge would automatically open (as I had programmed in the preferences). Now I am getting an error message that the beta is no longer available. I payed for the upgrade to PS CS3 extended. I can click on the Bridge icon in the system tray and Bridge opens just fine. I have uninstalled all previous versions of PS. I deactivated the old PS on the older computer and re-activated it on the new computer. I can't find out where I need to go to get rid of the error.
