Had the same problem with CS5 and beta CS6, Bridge start up scripts won't load, meaning the output pane is blank. Over the past 2 years, 2 different computers, 3 hd's, clean installs on all and I keep getting the same problem.
Â
This time, standard install on Lion 10.7.3 mac pro mid 2010 16gb RAM ssd, permissions repaired before/after install, disk warrior run before install. Works fine on my laptop.
Bridge won't start-up either from CS3 or the XP Programs areas in Startup. I downloaded and inrtalled the CS3 Bridge 2.1.1 update and it did not help. I get the Message: The app failed to initilize properly (Oxc0000022). Click OK to Terminate. Please help if you can, thanks. phil PS only change to my computer that I know of is I installed an ran Perfect Image defrag program.
I am running Photoshop CS6 (Creative Cloud subscription) on a Windows 8 machine. While Photoshop itself starts perfectly OK when I click on the Bridge ikon I get a revolving little circle for a few seconds, then nothing. The same happens when I try to start it from within Photoshop. Mini Bridge says it can't start without full bridge running.Â
How to get Bridge to run. The only clue I can give to what could be the problem is that I had CS2 running on the machine prior to installing CS6 and I wonder if there is still some detritus from that installation hanging around. By the way I have searched the forum and tried most of the cures suggested in the past for similar problems on earlier versions of Photoshop. It is a anoyance rather than a game stopper for me as I manage my photo library using Light room but I would like to sort the problem out.
purchased the 5.5-upgrade to 6.0 Designpremium. Everything seems to work properly except the bridge, wich won't start as stand-alone - works only as Mini-bridge inside photoshop. Â While trying to start the bridge from photoshop ("go to bridge") results in a bridge's crash... Â In my former installations (5.0 and 5.1) everything was ok ...
After opening Bridge CS6 (and using mini Bridge), there are no thumbnails showing. I've pointed Bridge to just one folder with less than 5 photos in it and it cannot even display them. I'm running a recent Mac Pro with 16GB RAM and kick graphics card.
I can't seem to get my profile start and end station labels to appear even after I checked "Label start station" and "label end station" in the profile view properties.
4. chckdsk for error and fix.still error so I've gone through this.
5. I uninstall Autocad 2014 completely, uninstall it manually one by one, deleted left over folder of autodesk or similar software to it, deleted its registry keys.just like the instruction on how to remove autocad completely in autodesk, I just followed it all. [after Reboot]
I want to start AutoCAD LT without the empty drawing. Just AutoCAD and the welcome screen. How can i do that? I always close the first drawing and begin a new one by choosing out of several templates or start with an existing drawing, rename and modify it. For NEW or OPEN i like to use the welcome screen.
I just installed 3DS Max 2012 with a student license, but I encountered a problem that doesn't seem to go away. Whenever I open it, it gets to the "Starting 3DS Max 2012" screen and then freezes. The process freezes as well. Is there a way I can fix this? I have Windows 7 Ultimate, 32-Bit, and a Dual-Core Processor. My computer meets all the System Requirements except an insufficient video card.
I have a VB .NET Dll that add a new ribbon in AUTOCAD.When I load this dll from AUTOCAD, this new ribbon is well added.I'm trying to start this dll with AUTOCAD Start.
I've tried to load the DLL from the acad.lsp but the DLL is loaded before AUTOCAD load the ribbon, then the dll is well loaded but my new ribbon is not displayed !.
Whenever I try to open the Brushes panel, the Bridge window pops up. I know that Bridge is a media manager, so I'm not sure why is it opening. I really need to edit the brushes and I can't find a way to do it. Is there a way to disable bridge or another way to open the brushes panel that won't open bridge?
After running perfectly for months my CS5 will now not start from either the icons or the applications folder. I've done the following;  1. Uninstalled it. 2. Deleted all the relevant folders. 3. Run the clean up utility. 4. Rebooted the computer. 5, Reinstalled CS5. 6. Run the updater. 7. Restarted the computer.  Everything else (Bridge, RAW etc) works fine, and if I open the CS5 package and run the unix executable it fires up. The terminal window does say "No javatime present, requesting insatll", but I have the latest Java running on my machine. I'm running OSX on a 2012 imac i7. All software and drivers are upto date.
I get the message Photoshop.exe - System Error  "The program can't start because QtCore4.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." I've tried reinstalling Photoshop CS6 but the problem remains, together with the message.
I am using Photoshop CS6 on my Win7 - 32b, and it used to work just fine, but recently for no apparent reason it just won't start. There is no error window, no freezing my computer, or anything else, it just won't start.
Today I updated Photomatix to 4.2 and right after I did that CS5 won't start. Before the update CS5 worked fine. Don't know if it's a coincidence or not. what I should try before uninstalling and reinstalling CS5?
I just installed Photoshop CC, along with other CC software on Mac OS X 10.8.5. All the other software is working great, but Photoshop refuses to start and give me an error that says that the program will not initialize due to a program error (translated from the french message: "impossible d'initialiser photoshop en raison d'une erreur du programme") Â I uninstalled Photoshop, remove an old after effect CS3 that was left (to be sure) and reinstalled Photoshop, but still the same message.I never installed Photoshop on this computer before, so I didn't do something wrong with its preferences.
I am running XP Pro with SP3 and all current patches. My dvd drive is a Plextor PX-760A. At first neither the CS4 application dvd nor the Learning dvd would start in my drive.
Then I flashed the drive firmware from 1.04 to 1.07. This drive uses the windows drivers. Plextor does not supply drivers.
After flashing the firmware the CS4 Learning dvd starts fine. I also found my CS3 dvd and it also starts fine.
However, the CS4 application dvd will not spin up. The drive makes 2 faint beeps, tries to spin up the disk a few times and then gives up.
Any suggestions on what I might try before calling Adobe and asking for a replacement disk?
I dont know if this is related to my problem... but i installed about 1,500 fonts yesterday. And today i tried opening PS7 and i am getting the attached error. It displayes the splash screen and when it is done it displays the error. I tried using the direct file link, making a new image, opening an exsisting image. All does the same thing. Once i click okay it bombs out. Any ideas?
I entered the serial, I got the green checkmark, clicked OK, then PS just randomly closes.
I try to open PS again, and some license agreement comes up, I click Accept, and that window closes, followed by PS NOT starting up. I even got the latest updates and all that. I've been google searching this crap for an hour.
Ive been using PS CS3 for a long while. All of a sudden it wont load. The logo comes on the screen and you can see it reading files. When it gets to reading preferences it stops and just hangs.
whenever I run ps cs3 it loads everything but after its done it just closes the window, I even tryed running it as administrator and it just says it closed because a problem caused it to stop working correctly, I meet all the requirements to run it and just some extra info:
