Photoshop :: CS5.1 Crashes At Loading Graphic On OS X 10.7 Lion
Dec 2, 2012
I've been using Adobe products for over a decade and have never seen an issue like this. It just won't load. I've uninstalled, used the clean tool & reinstalled - rebooting prior to each step - and I can't get photoshop to load past the 'loading brushes...' message in the opening loading graphic. Prior to the issue I was playing with extendscript and loading them into PS, but I've since deleted all scripts and, as mentioned, wiped the entire suite.
Â
Following is my crash report.

I'm getting constant and repeated crashes in OSX Lion 10.7.3 on an i7 iMac w/ PS CS5 v12.1 - Crashes are 100% repeatable.  I don't have to do anything at all other than open the program, and quit. Then = CRASH! (I've searched and read similar reports of this from years ago but this is all current 2012 hardware/software) Crash log here -
CS 6 Photoshop stopped working on my MacBook Pro under Lion.After installing Mountain Lion over Lion it still crashes every time.All other CS 6 apps run fine.I have all latest updates from Adobe and AppleHere is an extract from the dump: Â Process:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Adobe Photoshop CS6 [1637] Path:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Adobe Photoshop CS6.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Photoshop CS6 Identifier:Â Â Â Â Â com.adobe.Photoshop Version:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 13.0.0 (20120315.r.428) Code Type:Â Â Â Â Â Â X86-64 (Native)
This happens on my Macbook pro. I hasn't worked ever!! I need it to work because I'm creating CC documents on my desktop computer and I need to be able to open the documents on my laptop.
I've installed LR4 from the Mac App Store and I get the following error message when I try to run it. I've also tried to reinstall it twice and rebooting after reinstalling but the problem remains.  It says it cannot find @executable_path/../Frameworks/asneu.framework/versions/a/asneu but I checked the Contents and it is there on Applications/Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.app/Contents/Frameworks/asneu.framework/Versions/a/aseneu  Process:        Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 [547] Path:           /Applications/Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4
I tried loading Adobe Photoshop/Imageready. During the loading, once it gets to "loading color preferences" it shuts itself down. I have tried reinstalling, restoring, rebooting, repeating. And I can't seem to fix the problem. Today I decided to search the adobe site for troubleshooting guides. All I could find, told me to find and remove my preferences file. So i searched, and searched. I can't find it anywhere. I removed Adobe and everything Adobe from my computer, and tried again to reinstall. During the loading I recieved this dialog box.
I just bought Photoshop CS4 upgrade (have CS2) and 1) it now crashes when I try to load any image, 2) it says my first seriel number from CS2 is invalid and 3) it shows I have CS3 Extended. What is the EASIEST and QUICKEST way to get a refund on this since I do not feel like tackling three major issues at once! I just want to go back to CS2 and refund my 185 bucks! By the way, I did a CS4 trial a month ago and had the same crashing issue when trying to load an image as I am now.
I am having PSE 11 "stop working " when launched. Seems to be related to corrupt catalogs. If I delete the catalog, then I am able to open up the Organizer. However, when I build a new catalog, it oftens crashes. I have disabled all the analyzer functions but keeps recurring. I have been successful in building a small catalog consisting of approximately 400 JPGs. However, larger catalogs aren't successful.
Have CS3 photoshop on Windows 7 platform that crashes when loading jpg from email. It installs fine and then on several occassions when opening an email photo, it will freeze and gives message Licensing for this product has stopped working You cannot use this product at this time and must remove and install again
I successfully installed CorelDraw X6 but I am unable to open it. It starts to load and then it crashes. At first I thought it was a bad install, so I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still won't open. Norton AV was turned off during both installs. I have searched and see that quite a few users have the same problem but I haven't found a cause or solution. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit, Intel i7, 16 GB ram.
I have the entire subscription of  'Corel 6X'. I have been using it for a few months with no problems, even after I did the 8.1 update. Now all programs will load and run except for 'Draw 6X', it starts to load and then it will start to 'load environment' and then crash. As I said above, every other part of the suite open and run fine.
I can give you no information about updates or version as it won't load so I could check for updates. I searched for other post, and it returned no other similar problems listed for 'Draw 6X'. If I get no answers I'll just un/re install that program itself and see if that fixes things.
I am on a Dell PC with plenty of everything running Win 8.1 64 bit and running the online yearly subscription of 'CorelDraw 6X' 64 bit version that was up to date and working fine on 8.1 fine for more than a month. Now the 'splash' screen shows and gets to 'loading environment' and then the quaint Win window comes out 'There is a problem and windows has to close this program'.
why our copies of AutoCAD MEP 2012 seem to hang when loading the default dwt files? On the splash screen it details all the files being loaded and when it gets to the dwt file it just hangs at 0%. In the windows task manager, acad.exe stops using memory (around 90megs) and the cpu stops too. It's get's really frustrating, especially as it only seems to affect our new Dell Optiplex's and a couple of our old Dell Precisions. Some of them work first time every time, no probs. All PC's are Windows 7 Pro 64bit and running the latest service packs for AutoCAD.
After downloading the Autodesk Inventor 2013, I was forced to download the hotfix. I completed the download, and started up Inventor. My force closed crash report directed me to the most updated update, which I then installed to no avail. I've sent an additional crash report, but I've yet to recieve any feedback. When I go to either load the .ipt blank file, or even close the welcome center tab (to be able to access the tools to troubleshoot) It shuts down.

I am having a problem with AutoCAD crashing without fully loading. I will get the splash screen and the application background will momentarily appear with "AutoCAD 2011" in the title bar then it will all disappear with no visible error message. By checking ACD2011ENUAdlm.log in  C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataAutodeskAdlm I get the following error message:  3536 2010/10/04 10:05:39 Reason=Fatal error
I have a large number of images in my Dell 8250 (>12,000) Lately when I try to start PS7 it crashes when it hits "Sorting fonts" Am also having trouble with Outlook Express crashing when I try to attach image file to an e-mail. Have uninstalled and reinstalled PS7 four times to no avail. Any suggestions appreciated. 512mb memory. 120gig Hard disc.

Is there a way to insert a Ai graphic into msWord and the graphic text still be searchable in msWord? I would like the text in my Ai graphic to be searchable once the graphic is inserted in msWord. I have tried different Ai exports, but all come into msWord as pictures. Is there a way to keep the Text Layer in my Ai file searchable in msWord.
How do I paste a graphic over an existing graphic on a header? and how do I determine the amount of pixels to be covered and the amount of pixels in the graphic I am wanting to use?
my animation takes around two seconds to load within my browser. Is there a way to display a loading symbol such as spinning circle, that will show the animation is loading, then disappear once it is ready to display?
I'm currently working on a site which is almost 95% complete. The loading time for the site is approx 7-10 seconds which seems to be slow. I have placed a preloader but that doesn't seem to be coming up while the site is loading. Â Is there anyway to speed up the loading time. Like some code that will tell it load specific number of frames first and then load the rest in the background? Â I have compressed the images that are being used but cannot compress further as they may lose the quality.I've got the preloader working and now it seems to be showing up while the site is loading. Is there any way to speed up the loading time.
I create a graphic in Corel Draw X4 and export it as a .png file. It is a button with rounded corners. It will be going on a black background when put into an iphone app. So as to not have the little white corners show up from the rectangular export window, I made the button on top of a black rectangle, slightly larger than the button. I then selected the black to be transparant during the dialogs of exporting to png. When viewed in an image viewer the black is indeed transparent and does not show up. All looks fine.Â
To test what it will look like when put on top of a black background, I also make a black square and export it as a .png. I then open the black background in Corel Photopaint and then import the graphic into the background image. A siloutte of it shows up with the marque borders but the graphic itself (the colors and contents of the graphic don't). When combined with the black background it just disappears. Why doesn't it just lay on top of the other graphic?
okay so I bought a new mac it has OSX Lion, and I downloaded my Adobe Creative Suite CS4. The one hiccup and the only thing I used it for is edit gifs. When I go to file import - Video Frames to Layers is an option however I can not load a gif into the program. I tried * and everything is still greyed out.
I think it's missing a plugin. Adobe tells me to upgrade but you can't upgrade from CS4 to CS6 and the people at Mac tell me that even though my product isn't that old Adobe products can adapt fast enough. I want to know if there is a viable solution to what should be a simple problem or should I move on from Adobe because it is too expensive.
Ok, so I asked this awhile back when I was running Snow Leopard (10.6.x) on this late 2009 27" iMac. Someone mentioned that I should disable Open GL drawing to resolve it, and it worked, for awhile except for many of the features in CS5 you need Open GL enabled.Â
Maybe it's the graphics card, I don't know. But here is what my PS documents look like about 75% of the time. Sometimes it is worse than this and it makes working very, very hard:
