View 1 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded to Windows 8 using Adobe Photoshop CS6 (latest Dec update). I have the latest Wacom drivers installed (Nov1) and Photoshop does not respond to pinch to zoom and rotate and it recognizes my hand touching the screen as pen input when using the pen at the same time. Even without the pen I can draw with my finger. Others have reported this under Windows 7 as well. I have an iPad, I don't need this 4K screen to work like an iPad!
This did not happen with older wacom drivers and Windows 7. I need to know how long I am going to have to wait before Adobe acknowledges the problem and when to expect a fix for this. All of us with Photoshop and Wacom Cintiq 24 HD Touch are screwed at the moment. Most other programs are working correctly with both touch and pen (i.e. Painter 12.2, Sketchbook Pro, etc). Most users are resorting all the way back to CS3 with older drivers or turning off Touch input all together to get the pen to work.
I have a 21in IPS panel. I'm planning to get a Wacom Tablet. Not specially for painting but for masking things. But i have a mind to sell my Display and get a multitouch panel. There is a acer IPS multitouch panel.. My OS is win 8 pro.
I use Photoshop, Illustrator, Premire pro and after effects..
I just installed my wacom bamboo pen and touch CTH-470, and, like many people, pen pressure sensitivity isn't working. I installed the driver for the tablet and it's all ready to go, but when I go to Gimp 2.8 and try to configure the tablet in the "input devices" section, I see "core pointer" in black, and then "Tablet Port:HID, Dim 5500x4000..." and it goes on. Now, I'm quite certain that that is my tablet, but I'm seeing people say they have the bamboo pen and bamboo eraser present but greyed out.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I recently got my graphics tablet and have been playing around with it on GIMP, getting the eraser and pressure sensored stylus configured. But I'm having a weird issue- the two side buttons on my stylus already have inputs from GIMP (that being pan and image menu), regardless of what I select for it on the control panel's 'Bamboo Preferences'. I'm not sure how to change it after looking around into the programs preferences window, including 'Input Devices'. Uh, I've checked that my drivers are up to date and I have Windows 7 Home Premium x64 on a crappy laptop, if that means anything... This is really irritating me as the input GIMP determines and the ones I choose from the control panel happen simultaneously and I just want my own inputs.
View 2 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop cs6 works almost perfectly on the sony vaio tap 20 windows 8 computer. One problem is the touch screen's compatibility with photoshop. Inorder to draw with my finger or a pen, I need to select outside of the boundary of the canvas and drag in order to draw. The program works fine with the mouse and keyboard, but the touch screen is really what I want to use.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy CS3 Photoshop (mac) crashes when I touch the menu bar. I have tried reloading with no result . My crash report is:

- Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 64-bit

My new Wacom Cintiq 13HD runs just fine while just browsing on the internet, with Adobe Illustrator (so far...) and Easy Paint Tool SAI.But everytime I open my Photoshop it's just some minutes before my system freezes for a second, than blue screen appears.
I tried all drivers Wacom has available but it still happens. I updated my Adobe Softwares, my BIOS, my graphic card, I restarted countless times, but nothing seems to work.
I'm looking to get a wacom tablet, but I'm not really sure what tablet it best for digital art and animation type stuff. I'll be using it with Photoshop CS6 and probably Toon Boom or some other animation software. I'm just not sure what the difference is between the tablets.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've Windows 8 installed [x86].I had windows 7 prior to this. Until then it was working fine. I updated to windows 8 n now when i install al the programs, Only Adobe Photoshop CS4 crashes.. i.e. it'll never get launched.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I go to open up Adobe Photoshop (64bit or otherwise) it will load up for a second then crash the next. It doesn't give me error reason why only says it has stopped working and it can't detect a problem so it closes. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the program but the Adobe Application Manager is also acting weird. When it is opened it freezes and soon crashes saying there is a "Download Error".

Adobe Illustrator was working fine on my MacBook Pro. That is in the shop being fixed, meanwhile I have a loaner computer which is what the specs are above. All my Adobe apps work, except for Illustrator. When I launch it, it loads everything but just as the main menu across the top loads I get an error stating:

I can open Adobe Illustrator fine, but as soon as I select an object, before I release, the software crashes; if I'm lucky I can move the object, but before I release it, the software crashes.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRight now Photoshop doesn't support pen pressure or multi touch pan and zoom on the new Surface Pro - an otherwise amazing machine. It will break my heart to do so, but I'll need to return the device in 14 days if this functionality isn't there. It's essential for digital art. Is there any way of knowing whether pen and touch support is forthcoming? My clock is ticking.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am working on a photo.
1. Use the magnetic lasso to separate the people in the photo and made them a separate layer.
2. Made a new gradiant layer.
3. Added my type in another layers.
I put all the layers together. The image of the people needs to be touched (some irregular areas from the original lasso cut)up on top of the gradient; but no brushes, wands, sponges will work to give me the same gradient touch-up.
I uploaded the photo so you get a better idea of what I am trying to describe. Look at the outline of the people. I need to clean that up; but no tools are working.
I had Photoshop CS6 installed and working on my Mac using Adobe Creative Cloud. However now a dialog appears that says "Help Improve Adobe's Product". Regardless if I approve this dialog or not Adobe Photoshop starts up with every menu option grayed and I can do nothing. I have to force quit the application. At this point it is 100% unusable.
I've googled it and seen others with a similar issue but no solutions found. I have OSX 10.8.3.
