When I open a file from PSE 11 Organizer in ACR 7.4, make my edits and hit done, the edits made in the Detail tab are not reflected when the file is viewed in PSE 11 Organizer. I had this problem a while back and found a thread that provided a cache or directory change that fixed the problem.
View 6 RepliesI'm new to lightroom but have watched all the tutorials on the Adobe site. I imported photos going back to 2002 and have been reorganizing them within Lightroom. I've been organizing in new 'year' folders, and moving photos and folders into these new folders, then I've been removing the old folders. So in lightroom I now have nice neat folders 2002-2009 on my Mac hard drive, and 2010-2013 in my Box sync folder (also on hard drive but syncing to Box online). The trouble is, the moves haven't been reflected on the Mac itself. When I look in Finder, the folders are broadly as they were before I started moving things.
View 4 Replies View Relatedwhere I mainly want a conclusive answer: How do I manage Lightroom photos when using 2 computers, keeping all edits made on either one of them, using the same photos for editing. I won't use DNG. Details: I mainly use my older MacBook Pro, but would like to be able to use my PC as it's way better (Specs: i5 2500K, 16GB RAM, SSD, USB3, nVidia GTX 560 TI etc.). I have 2 external HDs that I could use, one for Backup and one for the actual Photos/Edits. I'll probably need to use it as my internal HDs are quite full, and I can't just delete stuff or move it to an (Developer programs, Lossless music, etc.).
Based on this, how do I back up the whole thing e.g. Photos folder (all photos and edits, and preferably presets too)?
I have saved a psd file as jpg using File -> Save as.
Also tried: File -> Save for web.
When I look at the newly saved jpg file in photoshop the colors are great.
When I look at the same jpg file in Firefox or Internet explorer the file look bleached (a lot lighter in color).
How do I save the image for view on web, and then make sure the colors match more closely to the original file?
To manually correct for the missing colors would be a lot of work, and I hope there is an automated way of doing this?
Using Photoshop 5.5.
Both images viewed on same computer in same light.
I would like to learn the reason why adjustments made on detail panel don't affect histogram.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIve been using inventor for around 2 months now and its all been going good... ive recently done a rather complex assembly that id rather not redo... unfortunately... i ungrounded the base part fiddling with it trying to find a working constraint set for my needs (evenly spaces cylinders on a base plate and a centered on a mounting plate... i ended up using holes and the cylinders screw holes to align them but still this was AFTER i messed it up)
So now because of that the default view is skewed by roughly 45 degrees or so... now i have set the front view manually to reset the ground plane.... but if i stick this in a dwg as front its as if i did nothing... and yes i have triple check to make sure ive set the front view.
If I copy a bunch of pictures from PSE 10 & then load them into a tablet (galaxy tab 2 10.1) should all of the Tags still have all of the EXIF data & tag information from PSE? The reason that I ask is because I looked at a few picture copied this way & the tablet gives the choice of displaying things like where picture taken,presumably from GPS data as well as by date taken etc?
I can call up some picture with where taken but none that would have used other tags.
Can history be traced or viewed after saving the file?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI opened up an old catalog in PSE 11 which was created in a PSE 10. This catalog has been converted.
Then I click grid I see about a hundred folders down the left hand side of screen. These folders are names of the location the pictures were taken. If I select a folder & click on it I see that almost all of the thumbnails have the tag indicator located in the bottom right hand corner of the thumbnail. If I hover the mouse over the indicator I sometimes see tag names for places, people or events.
I am using PSP Pro x6. I edit the photo and then send using the link in the program. MS Outllok pops up just fine and reflects that the ".jpg" file is attached. When the recipient gets the email (on their iPad) the file has turned into a ".dat" file. It is definitely a .jpg when I send it out.

I got something about changing directories and I accepted it. That may be what happened but I'm not sure. I also noticed that in the projects box my project says (read only).
View 9 Replies View RelatedThe reason I ask this is I have hundreds of photos that were taken on a 5D with a scratched filter, so I am treating the marks as dust bunnies and getting rid of them in the same way, using spot healing and for the scratches, whtever the feature is called where you use the spot healing brush but you 'draw lines'.However I am one of the many who suffer appalling performance in Lightroom edits so after maybe 20 spot heals the computer slows down so much so as to be unusable. So I then send the file into PS/CS6 as the same doesn't happen there. I quickly fix all my spots and scratches and then I appear to only have the option of saving the file as a TIF back to LR. What I'd love to do is save the xmp file, and then have LR update the image given those xmp changes.Is this possible or do I have to continue to have the extra TIF file?

I see it for jpegs (like who works with jpegs anymore). But not for tiffs. I have photoshop CS6 and am on Windows XP. I have the file/open function set for 'list.' I find setting it for anything else too cumbersome. And toggling bk and forth between file/open in photoshop and bridge is beyond cumbersome. How is this an improvement?

When I start in Lightroom with an image, then take it to Photoshop to do some work with liquify, save it, return to Lightroom... Lightroom is not acknowledging the new changes made in Photoshop.
