Photoshop :: JPG Image Viewed On Web Is Bleached Compared To Viewed
Jul 17, 2006I have saved a psd file as jpg using File -> Save as.
Also tried: File -> Save for web.
When I look at the newly saved jpg file in photoshop the colors are great.
When I look at the same jpg file in Firefox or Internet explorer the file look bleached (a lot lighter in color).
How do I save the image for view on web, and then make sure the colors match more closely to the original file?
To manually correct for the missing colors would be a lot of work, and I hope there is an automated way of doing this?
Using Photoshop 5.5.
Both images viewed on same computer in same light.

Sep 8, 2004Is there any way I can save the history palette when saving a file? I would like to do a step-by-step demo for someone, and while I always add a new layer for all color/contrast etc. changes, it doesn't work for the filters.

I would like to know if it is possible to save the edit history of a file - for example if I open a file I worked on a week ago I want to be able to find out what work had been done to it (eg levels, sharpening, curves etc). As far as I know, history is lost after a file is saved (in a flattened image).

Nov 19, 2013I am using PSP Pro x6. I edit the photo and then send using the link in the program. MS Outllok pops up just fine and reflects that the ".jpg" file is attached. When the recipient gets the email (on their iPad) the file has turned into a ".dat" file. It is definitely a .jpg when I send it out.

Oct 2, 2012I am sure that in the past Texture settings saved when I loaded a saved Art History Brush tool preset. But suddenly, the Texture setting - specifically Depth, is not being remembered. In other words - I have saved an Art History Brush as a Tool Preset. I have then used some other brushes and experimented with texture including the Depth setting. When I go back to the saved tool preset, the Texture Depth setting has changed to whatever it was when I last used it - not its saved value. I thought the point of Tool Presets is that they save all brush characteristics.
I'm using CS6. The tool presets and their Texture attributes work fine in CS5. Maybe I need to reinstall CS6.

I had this problem a while back and found a thread that provided a cache or directory change that fixed the problem.

Aug 20, 2013I am trying to learn layers and layer masks. I loaded an image, than control J to duplicate it. I then added a layer mask. Everything good so far. I then went to filters chose a blur. Then went to brushes with black as my foreground color, I just wanted to brush away the blur, and got an error message. "could not use the history brush because the history state does not have a corresponding layer."

Aug 19, 2012I think it'd be so cool to be able to replay your entire undo history of a picture, so you can see and show others how you proceeded on a picture you made. That way, it's never necessary to capture screen video for like 10 hours and stuff..
So first you'd need to add an option to save the undo history (so that you always keep the history from when you started). Then you'd need an option to playback the undo history.

Mar 24, 2013Everytime I try to use my history brush, that error pops up and I have no clue why. If I try to just open a blank document and use the brush it does not give me this error and I can "use" the brush but you cant see anything on the project.
so when this error happens im trying to do a project and say I place a file(picture) into the project and this is the very first thing I do. I place it, then I size the image down some. I then make a new layer to use the brush for behind the picture and then this is when I get the error. I have no clue what is wrong

rather than julian and then printing it to a file. I never found a way. So I'm figuring the next best thing is to just run the edittime command and then set a custom variable to report the last line of the command history. Then I can open a file and print it to the file. But alas my skills are lacking.

I have given Photoshop a break quite sporadically over the years.... but now I have come back in an attempt to unleash the wrath of its power and so far I have been quite impressed. Generally all I need to do is think "I wish there was a feature to do this" then apply usually not much more than a few seconds of discovery to locate the actual that exist previously unbeknown to me....
With the work I am doing right now the history and history brush feature is proving very useful... However sometimes not being able to save my history when I close photoshop or take a extended break... has proven to cost me hours of time.This is utterly unacceptable. I really hope CS6 fixes this. How can Adobe make such a great software with such a blatant flaw?

Feb 28, 2009i'm using PSCS4 and i'm trying to delete the "history" portion that was originally saved in my XMP data. i've gone to the "file info"->"advanced" window pane (tab) and deleted the "history" folder (like you suggested in your article a photoshop history lesson"), but the folder continues to reappear with all the initial history data. it appears like i delete the history folder, but then when opening up the "file info" window again, all the history is there like it was before i attempted to delete it.

The manual says that "As you edit your images, Photoshop Elements automatically keeps track of the file's edit history and adds this information to the file's metadata". That's what I want. But when I look in the History tab in the File Info, it's always blank.
How do I get it to turn on and keep track of the edits I've made to the image? (Note -- I'm not talking about the Undo History panel -- that works and shows the edit history. I'm talking about the History tab in "File Info".)
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: How Can Reportdir Be Set Or Viewed
Jun 3, 2013I am trying to set up custom reports.I found the landxml reporting program under the 'landxml reporting 8' folder Tools Options locates / sets the config file.
The config file refers to the %reportdir% setting / variable / thing.
I have multiple C3D versions installed. I am trying to set custom reports for 2012. 2014 is also installed. I found that there is a single landxml program doing the work for all versions. On my workstation, the 2014 report facility is being used in 2012.
It looks like if users need to make a custom report set they must use the landxml reporting program to refer to the custom files. Correct? Or ... have I missed something? Is there a way to view or set reportdir ?

Jun 16, 2012would it be possible sometime in Paint.Net to save/export to the clipboard the history box as a text list of what we did ?
since I use many effects and settings in a given PDN, I sometime wants to write me some notes about how i did something and the steps i used to do it, before my old memory lets me down.
I know that the PDN it self has the history, but now I need to go over all the list and manually write/type down in notepad the list , which most of the time is very long.
Having the ability to save/export the history box text to a file or to the clipboard, make it easy to edit the list and keep track/notes of steps and ways to do something.
I don't need the settings used in the effect/adjustments , but just the TEXT names of the steps taken as shown in the history box.
AutoCAD Inventor :: ILogic Error Cannot Find Excel File After Saving File As Template
Dec 6, 2012I'm linking an excel file to an .ipt file with iLogic code determining if the Material type is a certian value it will find the correct material thickness. These file work great when working on them thru Vault but when I "Save As Template" and create this file where our other template files are located (not Vault) this fuction does not work. I have realized that I had to place the a copy of the excel file in the same file folder as the template ipt, but even this does not fix the issue.
I recieve this error:
Error in rule: Material, in document: Part6
'MWW Materials (Inventor).xlsx' could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct.
If you are trying to open the file from your list of most recently used files, make sure that the file has not been renamed, moved, or deleted.
It seems completly countintutive that just saving the file as a template file would cause this not to work when all files that are required are located in the same file folder. Maybe I need a reference to the excel document within the iLogic code.
Photoshop :: History Brush Only Painting White On Picture Instead Of Colors From Text File?
Jul 2, 2013I am working on a project for my online class and am having difficulties with the History Brush. Note that both files are identical in size etc.
1. I created a color text file and saved it with a specific name.
2. I copied an existing photo from iPhoto, as I couldn't import into PhotoShop, and pasted it in a new file. I then removed the white background layer and then saved it with its now specific name and closed the file.
3. I re-opened the Color Text File.
4. I then re-opended my photo.
5. I performed a "Select All" from the menu bar of my active Photo then selected Edit - Copy and then closed my Photo file.
6. From my Color Text File I selected Edit and then Paste from the menu bar.
7. I selected Layer and Flatten Image from the menu bar.
8. I right clicked the background image from the Layers Panel and created a snapshot (which is my photo)
9. I selected the History brush and verified that this also displayed in the gray box associated with the Color Text file within the History Panel.
10. I verified that my photo image was displayed in my work area.
11. I start to fill the photo with my History Brush and the only color I get is White.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Surface Disappears When Viewed With LT Or Trueview
Aug 3, 2013I created a DWG with Civil 3D. When it is viewed with LT or TrueView the contours for the surface disappears. I checked the detail switch on the VIEW tab but it did not seem to make any difference.
Is this a function of LT and TrueView?

Aug 7, 2013I bought hd radeon 7770 for video composition. But I am not able to find Ray-traced 3D , I could see only Advanced 3D renderer. Do you think the problem is with the GPU? And will it work with GTX 650 1GB? I built the comp just for video production. Here is my PC configuration
Processor: AMD FX 8320 3.5GHz
Motherboard: MSI 970a-G43
GPU: MSI HD Radeon 7770
RAM: 1 GB Corsair 1600 MHz
PSU: 550W

Mar 13, 2014When I turn on "Ray Traced 3D" I get an error message. CS6 and CC. "Out of page mapped memory for ray trace tracer. Your project may exceed GPU limits. Try closing other applications. Try updating CUDA driver. (5070::2)"
I have 6 gigs VRAM and 32 gigs RAM.
The project is 1080 with one bitmap image a vector graphic and some type.
3ds Max :: How To Add Standard Lights With Ray Traced Shadows
Aug 4, 2011I am modelling a livingroom and I am using Daylight system and mental ray renderer and that all works ok.
But when I want to add standard lights, with ray traced shadows, I can place them as usual in the scene but it doesnt illuminate the scene at all, no matter how high multiplier.. Not in the model nor in the renders.
I also ticked enable hardware shading, enable shadows and enable ambient occlusion.
Illustrator :: Eraser On Traced Image?
Mar 23, 2014I imported the scanned image to illustrator and then used object->image tracer and converted it to a vector graphic with area fill and no stroke. So far so good.
I now want to erase little mistakes in the drawing, that look like this
if I use the eraser, this happens:
so the path is weirdly bend around the stroke of the eraser, which obviously isn't what I wanted to achieve. In all the videos I watched about the eraser, it worked fine and if I just create an area with the blob brush and erase a part of that, that works fine as well. What's so different with the traced image?
After Effects :: Ray-traced 3D Renderer And GT 750M
Nov 30, 2013Just bought a MBP Retina. Maxed out with everything they've got there at Apple. Here's a screen shot of what my preferences look like. Two things stand out: 1. the GPU option says "unsupported" and 2. of the 2GB of Usable Memory, I only am using 732 mb. I had all applications closed and and no external harware plugged in. how I can use more of my memory?

Oct 12, 2012After Effects CS6 is crashing when I change to Ray-traced 3D.I am building my first test 3D text. I have gotten to the end and changed to ray-traced and it keeps crashing. I set the quality to 48.
I have:
Windows 7
Quad core
16 GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics card
Did i set the quality too high (48) ?Is my card insufficient ?Does my card have GNU ?Do I have any on board memory with this card ?
