I'm using Inventor Pro 2013 as a single user (no vault). see the attached error. I was placing parts and I think I pulled one outside the project folder?? I got something about changing directories and I accepted it. That may be what happened but I'm not sure. I also noticed that in the projects box my project says (read only).

I can successfully batch when I load a single variable library with about 100 datasets at one time but anything much larger than that in the same xml format gives me a “the incoming variable library is invalid” error. Elsewhere on this discussion forum I have seen answers say there is no limit to the size of the XML file. [URL]..... But my experience with Illustrator CS5 says otherwise.
1. If there is a maximum size either in file size, number of datasets, or number of variables/values, what the limit is.
2. I still need to create thousands of the final document I am creating - if the limit is close to 100 and I need to create many thousands - scripting or other methods to get this done?
I'm having a problem with a Zone Border. I created the Zone Border like normal. I edited the appearance of the 'ABCD1234' text slightly:
- changed to center and middle justification.
- changed width to 120%
- changed color to black
The edits to 'ABCD' took effect and look just right. The edits to '1234' don't stay edited. I save the sketch, it looks okay, then when I add it to Sheet:1, the numbers have gone back to blue and lost the width and justification edits. But the letters are fine. What the heck is going on?
When I make changes through styles editor and try to save them, I get a window that pops up saying "Style library (C:Vault_WorkDesign Data) cannot be saved because it is damaged".

working with an assembly of about 100 parts
file was working fine until about the last large componet i am working on.
when I edit a part and then hit return the ("excuting end edit componet " in lower left hand ) it seems to take some time to compute. This part i have a lot of sketches that are tide to other componets to create the postion of those. so i think this is the reason. i supressed this compent and the file got about 75% better so I am thinking that this is my issue.
for example when i need to make a cut out in one compent that is overlaying another I create a construction projection of the componet and then use this to off set or create a feature from that so that if I change the other one it changes the cut out. I am thinking the computer is having to figure out what is changing everytime.
What's the purpose of making modeling edits at the assembly level if those edits don't show up in a drawing of the parts? Sure, it makes the assembly look prettier and more true to the final product, but say I make a bunch of cuts, holes, etc. at the assembly level, but then I make a drawing for one of the parts that was affected... those edits don't show up on the part itself, so all those edits are of absolutely no use to me when I need to give the guys in the shop a detail drawing of how to make the part. Why I would make edits at the assembly level?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe reason I ask this is I have hundreds of photos that were taken on a 5D with a scratched filter, so I am treating the marks as dust bunnies and getting rid of them in the same way, using spot healing and for the scratches, whtever the feature is called where you use the spot healing brush but you 'draw lines'.However I am one of the many who suffer appalling performance in Lightroom edits so after maybe 20 spot heals the computer slows down so much so as to be unusable. So I then send the file into PS/CS6 as the same doesn't happen there. I quickly fix all my spots and scratches and then I appear to only have the option of saving the file as a TIF back to LR. What I'd love to do is save the xmp file, and then have LR update the image given those xmp changes.Is this possible or do I have to continue to have the extra TIF file?
View 5 Replies View RelatedInitially the family was customized to add a few of our part numbers and suppress some members we weren't using.
There were some duplications in the table that were removed as well (This has been a known issue since 2009).
It has been working for several months without a problem.
Yesterday I needed some new sizes so I unsuppressed a few members and updated the part number and grade information .
Now when I try to place any instance from this family Inventor crashes.
I have found that the family will work if all members are unsuppressed. If only the customized members are left unsuppressed Inventor will crash on placement.
I ran some more tests by starting fresh and copying a read-only version from the ANSI library. I recreated the original library and it functions with the customizations untill I add a custom column (Grade) to use as a key.
How can a family go from functioning to not by only modifying a few fields?

When I open a file from PSE 11 Organizer in ACR 7.4, make my edits and hit done, the edits made in the Detail tab are not reflected when the file is viewed in PSE 11 Organizer. I had this problem a while back and found a thread that provided a cache or directory change that fixed the problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI did a drawing in ACA2011 sent it to my remote office where I have ACLT for mac 2013 (trial). Worked on the file,
had to explode the couple of walls I was editing, saved as 2011 or 2010 file.
When I open the file in ACA2011 I can not execute the wall tool. This is the message received:
Command: _AecWallAdd Command not allowed because drawing contains objects from a newer version of this application.
The new objects would be lines.
I remember being able to select 'Print Grid' back when I used AutoCAD 2000, but never needed to print the grid lines until about a year ago. AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT cannot do this. It seems only AutoCAD Civil 3D users have this option. Basically I need to print the drawing with a grid on paper and/or a mobile device so a field technician can draw conditions to scale easily and accurately. I realize this must not be in high demand, but there are a number of users who have asked about this. They are told that it is only a 'drawing aid' and they should array their construction lines to print their own grid. This is not a good solution for repetition of printing scaled field drawings, and certainly not 'state of the art' technology. Is this feature removed so we will have to search out the higher priced product? It seems like 'Print Grid' could be easily returned to all AutoCAD. Probably just a system variable that was removed when we weren't looking.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have this block with attributes and I go into Block Editor and I can select Annotative Yes (ie it's not greyed out) but when the drop down closes up it stays on No. I ended up cutting and pasting into a different drawing, Block Edit, etc and saving back. But I'm still curious as to why it wouldn't let me put it to Yes.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWe are on ACA 2011 and created a ceiling plan. Sent it to a consultant that is on ACA 2013.The file was saved down, but when we try to make a new ceiling or copy an existing grid, we get the following:
Command: _AecCeilingGridAdd.
Command not allowed because drawing contains objects from a newer version of this application.
When I try to use the rotate function I get this error: could not complete your request because it only works with opengl enabled document windows.
I've verfied that OpenGL is on, and my video card drivers for my ATI 7970 are up to date. I've also tried CS5 and the CS6, with no luck.
I've been using PS since version 3. I currently run CS2 on Windows XP service pack 2. I've been using CS2 since it was first released. Now, all of a sudden, anytime I install or uninstall a program, whether it is related to Photoshop or not, when I start CS2 I get a window that says "You are not allowed to continue because your account does not have the proper privileges" and the program aborts. The first time this happened and after I had restarted CS2 for the 4th time it started normally. Since then it requires at least one restart (not reboot)after the error and then CS2 starts normally. Anyone have any idea of what is going on here? The first time it happened was right after I had installed a new HP AIO printer and I thought that may have had something to do with it. However, I have installed a couple of other programs and uninstalled another, none of them related in any way to CS2, and I get the error the next time I run CS2. I have found some posts about this but no answers, and most of the posts were related to Vista, not XP.

When I try to run it, I get a message in a window titled "Adobe Activation" saying: "You are not allowed to continue because your account does not have the proper privileges. Please log in using an account with administrator privileges and try again."
I am logged in as an administrator and have installed all my applications using the same login. Though the version I have installed is not yet registered, I am unable to even get to the registation screen as once you click OK on the dialogue, Adobe Photoshop closes.
how I can get round this without opening up any security loop holes?

It keeps telling me that it's the wrong type of file. I've imported it into word but, I can't seem to get it into photoshop. download another file to open the zip file because that didn't work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just installed PhotoShop 6 on 20 of our college iMacs. We have a volume license account so this individual account signin is useless, but that's not the issue. Mac OSX, we have restricted use of files for students, they are allowed to run applications. Allowed access to Adobe Photoshop CS6. Software opens, but then gets message not allowed to run application adobe_licutil. What/where is that so we can modify our security settings to allow this to operate?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just purchased VideoStudio. My needs are extremely basic, but I've found one issue that I wouldn't have expected, that is, when I go to save a video and choose MP4, H-264 Main, 1280x720, the compression does not allow you to go below 5000 kbps.
I think this is a good base line, but to not allow you to go below this figure is frustrating. Is there a way to update the limiter so you can go beneath this without changing anything else?
I click on a layer (and no other layers are visable), but when I try to copy it, the Copy function is greyes out.....only the Paste option is available.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am semi-new to Revit and am trying to make a go of it. I am trying to make a window, that looks like my AutoCAD window. So I open the Window Family.rft to start creating. I can adjust my wall thickness to match my brick wall, I can set the frame to the void that is already there.....my problem comes when I want to put on the brick mould. This overhangs the window frame and thus is outside the pre-ordained void. When I try to make a void extrusion to cut back the outside face of the wall and allow the brick mould to show, it will not work - only the originally supplied void (that comes with the template) works.
Revit will not allow me to "Cut Geometry" saying "A Family cannot have an opening and cut in the same host". If I set the brick mould inside the supplied opening, then the inside face will have a gap between the drywall and the window frame.
Is there a max number of pics allowed in Elements 10? My catalog has 11,918 pics, and am importing 124 pics from an SD memory card. Elements stops working.

I am have trouble getting the blend tool to recognize the images. I can only select the very edge of the images and then it doesn't look like it should when it does blend. How I can upload the file to show what I am trying to say?

What is strange, this trash enclosure wall displays the plan view filled region (referenced via callout), but when I try to show a hatch for concrete and a hatch for metal door, in elevation, the filled region changes "all" filled regions to what ever is chosen.
Then I tried a new circle to see if that changed things. same deal
