Photoshop Elements :: Freezes From Organize To Edit
Jun 2, 2013I have loaded photos into Organize but I cannot transfer from Organize to Edit without the whole system freezing up. The cursor is a hand... I can't even get that to work....and then I can't close the page. I just purchased (a download) this upgrade from Elements 6. That wasn't so terribly user-friendly, but Elements 11 is a nightmare!

Feb 13, 2014I had this installed on another computer prior to it being stolen, got a new laptop and installed on it. I am running windows 7. When at the welcome screen i click on Edit and the little bar changes and acts like it is going to start but then does nothing, it just takes me back to the welcome screen. I did find one thread on here and tried those recommendations by holding down the ctrl, alt, and shift while clicking edit and then choosing yes but that didn't work.

Apr 14, 2013Sometime during the last few days my scroll wheel has stopped working in the Edit screen. I have always been able to make the photo larger and smaller with this wheel but this has stopped now. Also the sliders on the side and bottom of the editing screen have disappeared.. My scroll wheel is working OK in Organizer and other programmes so it does not appear to be the mouse.
Has there been an update in the last week or so? I am using Elements 10, Version 17215.

Oct 8, 2012I have just upgraded from PSE 9 to PSE 11 and decided to redo my catalogue from scratch. My photos are already on the hard drive in the format of Main folder Photographs with the years underneath that. In each year I have put the twelve months with the number of the month before the name so that the stay in date order. (e.g. January is 01 Jan, Feb is 02 Feb). When I imported the photos into the catalogue I found that the list of folders on the left did not stay within the year and month so there was a long list of folders with no hierarchical structure.

May 16, 2013Whenever I go to open up Adobe Photoshop (64bit or otherwise) it will load up for a second then crash the next. If one uses e.g. canvas size and chooses a smaller canvas, normally a panel appears 'the new canvas size is smaller, some clipping will occur, proceed or cancel. Likewise if you print something and its wider than the pagesize, you see a message panel appear, the image is larger..some clipping will occur, proceed/cancel.
These panels have ceased showing, but unless one clicks proceed or cancel on them, photoshop cannot progress,...not responding results. Trouble is you dont know if they have shown up but are hiding. Tried moving the image but it leaves a white space behind and the panel is not behind anyway, or under the main photoshop window.
If you launch e.g. word and print something, then minimise, often the panel then shows itself, from then on its ok ! Until one closes Photoshop then its back to its freezing ways next time after launch until refreshed with Msoft word printing, though that doesnt always resolve it.
It also freezes up when closing images using the X top right of image. I had thought I had spoted a trend to fall over on jpg images but not so I think now.
Tried for a full reinstall, no joy. updated video driver ATI radeon HD3450, the ATI driver wouldnt go on, couldnt find a suitable driver it said !... but the one from the Dell website did, turns out to be the same ! 1/12/2008 8.561.0.0 though ATI have a more recent one Feb 2010.
We also run Sophos antivirus.
VideoStudio :: Can't Create 3D Videos - Program Crashes
Mar 26, 2011After successfully using VideoStudio X2 for quite a while now, I’ve just updated VideoStudio X4.
My laptop meets the minimum specifications, however, I have just one problem with X4.
I can output to every file format including HD, but if I choose the 3D option, anaglyph or side by side, the program “crashes“.
I get 'the program has encountered an unspecified error and has stopped functioning' and 'the memory could not be read' errors. Both messages show 3 times each. The program will eventually close when I’ve OK’d all six messages.
I’ve tried different lengths of video, from short to long, but it makes no difference.
I don’t plan on doing loads of 3D videos, just the occasional short one for fun. Even though I find red/blue 3D video tiresome to watch, I would like to have a fully functioning program as everything else on X4 works like a dream.
