I have a new Lenovo laptop with Windows 8. I have installed my Photoshop elements 8, but find the fonts on all the edit screen too small to read. Can I increase their size?How? Is Elements 8 compatible with Windows 8?

I still can't find a way to increase the font size in PE 11, though. Am I missing something? It seems the menu fonts have increased in size in proportion to what Windows font size I'm using, but all the other fonts in PE 11 are still too tiny to read meaning (unless I am missing something) the software is still unusable (unless I sacrifice resolution).

When at the welcome screen i click on Edit and the little bar changes and acts like it is going to start but then does nothing, it just takes me back to the welcome screen. I did find one thread on here and tried those recommendations by holding down the ctrl, alt, and shift while clicking edit and then choosing yes but that didn't work.

I have always been able to make the photo larger and smaller with this wheel but this has stopped now. Also the sliders on the side and bottom of the editing screen have disappeared.. My scroll wheel is working OK in Organizer and other programmes so it does not appear to be the mouse.
Has there been an update in the last week or so? I am using Elements 10, Version 17215.
When I open PE8 and click on organise on the organize/edit screen the program crashes.

Edits look nice in size such as fit screen, but awful in the larger views. Instructions have been to view edits at 100% but what size=what % view of what one would see the picture once it is viewed on a computer, figuring that people will not enlarge too terribly much.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a large image and while the Organizer is fine with it, neither the Editor nor the Full Screen view of the Organizer will work with it.
Currently I have MaxImageSize at 200M, but can't find a similar setting for the Editor, and clearly it doesn't work for the full screen view either, so if there is a setting that enables these functions, that would be useful information.
Each time I open a new image in ACR and then open image the editing screen reverts to QUICK mode and a smaller screen size. I then have to click to change it to EXPERT mode and then click to make it full screen. I never had this problem with PSE 10.
(I am bringing RAW images in from outside and not via Organiser.)
Is there a way to set these defaults?
Currently the screen has a black border when I scroll to reduce the image size. Originally it may have been white.
