The editor program in PSE7 does not properly recognize the screen size of my monitor. Some photos and parts of menus fall outside the viewable area to the right side. How can this be fixed? Can some setting be easily changed? Do I need to reload some part of the program?

Currently I have MaxImageSize at 200M, but can't find a similar setting for the Editor, and clearly it doesn't work for the full screen view either, so if there is a setting that enables these functions, that would be useful information.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from PSE 7 to PSE 11. Everything seems to have installed and the organiser loads, but I cannot get the editor to load. When selecting editor mode, it attempts to load but then crashes, a window pops up "Adobe photoshop elements 11 has stopped working".

I made a shortcut of the editor to desktop, but it crashes as well. This has happened since install, the editor has never worked.

System: meets all minimum requirments for software to run.
Organizer and Editor launch after computer restart. But, after exit the program, only Organizer will re-launch- Editor won't. The PSE Editor PROCESS continues to run in the Task Manager even AFTER I close the Editor. - and ONLY if I END the Process in Task Manager ( or re-start the computer) will the Editor then launch. Did a clean install. Problem continues.

I am running this on a Windows 7 machine. I am trying to launch the Editor from the welcome screen. The editor comes up and I can see the workspace but then the error message comes up. I get the same error message when I try to launch the Editor from the Organizer.

I have LR 4 loaded on my machine and do most of my editing there. I tried to open the Editor to create a blank canvas and got this error message. I also get the error message when trying to open a photo in the editor directly from lightroom.

When I attempt to run updates for PSE 11 I get the following error message: "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily, or hte internet or firewall settings may be incorrect. Please try again alter. Error Code: u41m1c212
I use Photshop Elements 11. When I save a file in Editor mode after amending the photo, the screen freezes and I have to reboot the software.

View 4 Replies View RelatedPSE 12 was working fine until I updated to 12.1. The opening screen comes up as before when you click on the desktop shortcut. The organizer will start from the opening screen, but not the editor. I changed the option to have the program open the editor directly instead of the opening screen and now nothing appears when you click on the desktop shortcut. I am able to open both the organizer and editor by clicking on their respective exe files in the program folder. I am running Windows 8.1 / 64 on a Dell Inspiron 3847 w/ 8 GB of memory.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed the the screen redraw does not allways happen after moving a slider in Version 11.1. Quite often I have to change the fit to screen or fill screen to have a redraw preformed. I also sometimes need to flatten the layers in order to save the file. Another abnormality I came across was trying to save a >2 GB PSD panoramic file in 64 bit PS creates an error message that the file cannot be saved. "Greater than 2 GB". This means I have to flatten the image before saving. System is Vista 64 bit Ultimate with 8GB memory, 200 GB scratch drive.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden I have a strange problem. I am unable to paste into adobe photoshop once I press the print screen button. I am however able to print into the likes of paint or other applications, but it seems to tbe photoshop that is affected.
If I copy a image from a website or so and paste in photoshop it works.
I would guess that it may be something to do with the internal clipboard of the application, but has anyone any ideas. I still use Photoshop 7 for what it is worth on XP.
Each time I open a new image in ACR and then open image the editing screen reverts to QUICK mode and a smaller screen size. I then have to click to change it to EXPERT mode and then click to make it full screen. I never had this problem with PSE 10.

Currently the screen has a black border when I scroll to reduce the image size. Originally it may have been white.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust started a pen tool exercise in illustrator, at some point while using the pen tool I don't know why or how it happens but my screen stops "updating", "refreshing" or "drawing" while I drag it with the hand tool. What I mean is that if I start dragging with the hand, the rulers move as normal, but anything inside just stays a still picture and only when I release the mouse button is the screen changed to where I have dragged. Although the very edges of the artboard/workspace near the rulers behave normaly, I can see bits and pieces flying past there, but it's like there's this big square at the center of my screen that is a still image.

The problem is only inside Illustrator, the rest of my computer and screen behave normally.

I am using Windows XP SP 3, all updates 'n' stuff.
I'm a school teacher in the PLTW program that uses Inventor extensively in my classroom. Our district operates under a 125 seat license. The issue I've run into is on my personal computer (Windows Vista, x64) and is therefore outside the realm of the usual IT guy's duties. The Inventor software was installed on my laptop by the PLTW training staff during my summer session. I *think* it is a stand alone install of the program.
What happens is after I launch Autodesk Inventor, I can see the splash screen, and the inventor.exe task appears in the task manager, however after a few seconds, the splash screen disappears and the program does not launch. There is no error message.
This is confusing since until quite recently I am sure that Inventor was working hunky dory. Also, all the other Autodesk programs seems to function normally (Fusion, Design and Review)
I've tried a repair and reinstall, but the problem still persists. Also, I updated the install with SP 1, but this had no effect either.
I have recently updated my display drivers (ATI Radeon), however, I tried reverting back to the older drivers and still the problem persists, so I don't think it is graphics driver related
Why is the image on the screen small the the actual file size. As an example I have an image thats 5.7x5.7 @72DPI. My canvas says 100% but the image on screen is about 3x3.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt happens to me about 50 % of all time when I'm using the Paper Size dialog to crop an image:
No matter which alignment I select in the Placement drop-down box, PhotoPAINT uses the opposite direction.
This doesn't always happen, but it happens about every second time I use that dialog (and I use it often). It seems the error occurs randomly, probably not initializing some internal program memory location correctly.

Up until two days ago, my Photoshop Elements 11 installation worked just as I expected. Since then, when I launch, it goes through its startup, displays the editor interface and then quits. The only error message I get is from Windows (version 7) informing me that the program has stopped working
