I reinstalled the PSE12, and when I launch it I get to the Welcome Screen. But, when I click on Photo Editor, nothing happens, no error code. (Organizer starts)
View 8 RepliesI have upgraded from pse9 to 11 and after selecting a photo in organiser then viewing in full screen and enlarging to 100% then exiting, organiser loses the highlight and reverts to the first photo. This also occurs when the photo is edited and saved you have to find where the editedd photo has gone to, it is time consuming when you have a large number of photos in the organiser. pse9 did not do this.Also pse11 does not sort photos properly by the shot date especially when the photos ard edited

From the start screen the Barber's' pole shows for a few seconds but nothing happens. I have tried uninstalling, from the disc, and reinstalling several times, still nothing!

I tried elements 9 in september and it worked great. I revieved elements 10 as a gift and tried to install it and got the following error. I went back and tried to re-run the trial of elements 9 and I am now getting the same error on 9.

I get the following pop up. As you can see the editor does start, but shortly after it starts I get the popup.
I am running on Windows 7 (Pro) 64bit. My video cards are an AMD Radeon HD 6770 and an integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 with a driver version of 8.920.0, dated 11/9/2011

As I mentioned above, the trial of elements 9 had been working fine. I have made several updates to my system. I can't be 100% certain of the timeline, but I think most were done during the time that I was testing elements 9 and did not break elements 9. i am fairly sure there were a number of updated that were made after my last clean run of elements 9 and before I installed elements 10, namely windows 7 sp1, and various updates, but I was able to install the trial version on a laptop with the same os and same updates.
Suddenly my Photoshop Elements 8 Organiser section cannot be accessed directly from the Welcome Screen as it has always done regardless of which version I had used. I can only access the photos through the drop-down panel on the bottom left hand side of the Editor section. Not very convenient and there appears to be no chance of browsing through photos or accessing tagged photos.

It can be opened via the Editor but few of the thumbnails are shown as pictures rather as empty squares. The situation does not improve with time but tends to get worse with pictures turning into squares. I have tried the tip with preferences but to no avail.

I am running this on a Windows 7 machine. I am trying to launch the Editor from the welcome screen. The editor comes up and I can see the workspace but then the error message comes up. I get the same error message when I try to launch the Editor from the Organizer.

When I attempt to run updates for PSE 11 I get the following error message: "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily, or hte internet or firewall settings may be incorrect. Please try again alter. Error Code: u41m1c212
I use Photshop Elements 11. When I save a file in Editor mode after amending the photo, the screen freezes and I have to reboot the software.

The organizer will start from the opening screen, but not the editor. I changed the option to have the program open the editor directly instead of the opening screen and now nothing appears when you click on the desktop shortcut. I am able to open both the organizer and editor by clicking on their respective exe files in the program folder. I am running Windows 8.1 / 64 on a Dell Inspiron 3847 w/ 8 GB of memory.

Currently I have MaxImageSize at 200M, but can't find a similar setting for the Editor, and clearly it doesn't work for the full screen view either, so if there is a setting that enables these functions, that would be useful information.
When I right click on an image in Windows Explorer or Adobe Bridge, then click on "open with", in the list of image viewers and programs, Photoshop Elements is not listed. When I browse to the PE11 .exe file to select it, nothing happens. How can I set PE11 to be the default photo editing program?
