Photoshop Elements :: 12 Photo Editor Will Not Open
Mar 15, 2014I just purchased PSE12 today, and I got it to load correctly in my computer. The photo organizer works, but the editor does not open at all. I get the bar that makes it look like it's opening, but nothing past this point.
Windows 7, service pack 1, 64-bit OS.

Mar 25, 2014After initial install on my windows 7 64 bit system , all aspects of the software worked for about a month and then I could not open the photo editor. All other aspects of this product opens and works fine . Unfortunately I cannot use the editor or open photos previously modified in the editor. I can open the editor if I log in in safe mode but no other way. I have done 2-3 clean installs as described in previous articles, there are no errors just won't open.

Dec 18, 2012I have a Dell that runs on Windows 7. I recently received a bamboo pad for christmas. BIG PROBLEM..I was able to install the programs that came on the bundle successfully. However, when i click on the PSE shortcut on my desktop it opens the welcome screen. When i click on Organizer it opens just fine. However, when i click to open the editor it seems to appear as if it is going to launch and then nothing happens. The editor never opens.

Mar 10, 2013Just received a new PC w/ PSE 11 pre-installed. OS is Windows 8. Was editing a photo in LR 4 and wanted to go into PSE 11 Editor to do more editing. When I tried to open PSE editor, Adobe required product registration, which I did. LR created a duplicate TIFF file and everything, and the window popped up asking if I wanted to Edit a Copy with Lightroom Adjustments, etc., and then PSE 11 Editor opened up fine the very first time. (However it didn't seem like some of the tools were working properly, but that's another question for another time.) Subsequent attempts to open the PSE Editor either from Elements itself and LR4 have failed. Editor will not open.

Dec 29, 2012I just received Adobe Photoshop Elements (APE) 11 for Christmas. I downloaded with CD yesterday; I downloaded many photos from my camera and everything seemed to work fine. Today, I can access the photos with the "Organizer" and do quick fixes, but I cannot access the full Editor. I am going down to the "EDITOR" buttom on the Task Bar at the bottom of my screen. I click this button and nothing happens. Also pls note that I cannot access the Editor from the shortcut that the installation put on my desktop.

Nov 10, 2012I've been using Photoshop Elements 10 since early August and it's been working well.
However, since yesterday, when I use the File/Open command in Edit to get a new picture, I no longer see thumbnails, just a graphic of an orange flower. The pictures (mainly JPEG with some RAW/NEF) still open fine and if I single click one of the orange flowers I get a preview at the bottom of the Open screen. However, this is far from convenient. FYI, I usually work set to "large icons" but I've tried all the different size settings.
FYI, I've recently bought a new computer with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and reinstalled PSE10. However, all was working fine immediately after the change of computer and the lack of thumbnails has only just started.

Jan 20, 2014My Photoshop Elements 12 editor won't open. I have had elements for 2 weeks and it was worked just fine, but now it won't open even though my organizer works just fine. It pops up with an error message. I have tried the ctrl+alt+shift and that doesn't work either. I have updated all that needs updating.
