When a new blank file is created at given dimensions ( say 6 x 4 inches) the actual dimensions on screen and the ruler appear approx. 1.333 times smaller than the actual size ( 4.5 x 3 inches ) .How can I correct this?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded from pse9 to 11 and after selecting a photo in organiser then viewing in full screen and enlarging to 100% then exiting, organiser loses the highlight and reverts to the first photo. This also occurs when the photo is edited and saved you have to find where the editedd photo has gone to, it is time consuming when you have a large number of photos in the organiser. pse9 did not do this.Also pse11 does not sort photos properly by the shot date especially when the photos ard edited

I have checked the inks and have checked the printer. When copying somthing staight from the printer the colours are perfect. I have only had this problem since I installed the above. View 1 Replies View RelatedI get this error message every time I startup the Editor. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software. The same problem exits. I have tried the Control+alt+Shift when the Editor is starting up and that does not work either.
I am running this on a Windows 7 machine. I am trying to launch the Editor from the welcome screen. The editor comes up and I can see the workspace but then the error message comes up. I get the same error message when I try to launch the Editor from the Organizer.
The error message states: "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if the solution is available"
I have LR 4 loaded on my machine and do most of my editing there. I tried to open the Editor to create a blank canvas and got this error message. I also get the error message when trying to open a photo in the editor directly from lightroom.
When I attempt to run updates for PSE 11 I get the following error message: "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily, or hte internet or firewall settings may be incorrect. Please try again alter. Error Code: u41m1c212
I use Photshop Elements 11. When I save a file in Editor mode after amending the photo, the screen freezes and I have to reboot the software.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded from PSE5 to PSE12. The installation went smoothly and my old Catalog was imported without a hitch. After my first test run to edit a file, I did a "Save As" in a version set with the original. I then closed the file, but when I went to the organizer, it was not there. When I go to the folder in Windows Explorer, the edited file is present - I just can't get it to appear (alone or in a version set) in the Organizer. (FYI, I am running Windows 8).

View 9 Replies View RelatedPSE 12 was working fine until I updated to 12.1. The opening screen comes up as before when you click on the desktop shortcut. The organizer will start from the opening screen, but not the editor. I changed the option to have the program open the editor directly instead of the opening screen and now nothing appears when you click on the desktop shortcut. I am able to open both the organizer and editor by clicking on their respective exe files in the program folder. I am running Windows 8.1 / 64 on a Dell Inspiron 3847 w/ 8 GB of memory.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a large image and while the Organizer is fine with it, neither the Editor nor the Full Screen view of the Organizer will work with it.
Currently I have MaxImageSize at 200M, but can't find a similar setting for the Editor, and clearly it doesn't work for the full screen view either, so if there is a setting that enables these functions, that would be useful information.
I have recently installed Lightroom 4. In the develop module, any adjustments will not show in the photo on the screen. The photo frequently will not load onto the screen. If I select crop mode, the photo disappears and the screen turns to gray. If I select before/after, the screen turns to gray. I have read the manual multiple times and have watched the video. I do not see any step that I am omitting or doing incorrectly. Should I uninstall & reinstall the program, or what?
View 3 Replies View RelatedEach time I open a new image in ACR and then open image the editing screen reverts to QUICK mode and a smaller screen size. I then have to click to change it to EXPERT mode and then click to make it full screen. I never had this problem with PSE 10.
(I am bringing RAW images in from outside and not via Organiser.)

When I right click on an image in Windows Explorer or Adobe Bridge, then click on "open with", in the list of image viewers and programs, Photoshop Elements is not listed. When I browse to the PE11 .exe file to select it, nothing happens. How can I set PE11 to be the default photo editing program?

I really do not want to recreate these albums, as it would be almost impossible. I am dealing with over 2000 photos over several years (downloaded from discs from the last several years).
