View 1 RepliesThere is no crash report. With Bridge CS5 everything works fine. (Opening RAWs with minibridge CS6 works file too.)
View 5 Replies View Relatedwhy Bridge continually crashes when I open Mini Bridge in Photoshop?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can´t change the standard program in Adobe Bridge CC on my Mac to Photoshop CC. How can i change this!?
View 1 Replies View RelatedBefore I installed CS6, I removed CS6 Beta and my copy of CS5 using tools provided by Adobe. When I run Bridge, I notice that for each of the Open With apps shown, they are listed twice.
When I choose a JPEG or raw photo it opens with no problem, but when I open a PNG, I have to choose open with since my Mac will open it in PREVIEW. When I choose open with PS, it loads and opens a second Photoshop even though I have it open already.
Using CS3. Bridge has error message "Adobe Bridge has encounted a problem. Needs to close" It never opened. No problem in the past. Using WIndows XP Pro on a Dell.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIm using CS3. The problem is in bridge (latest version) I dont see the option "Open in Camera Raw" in the File menu. And when I press the shortcut Ctrl-R it wont work too.
View 5 Replies View RelatedPS CS5 crashes when I click on Photomerge from either PS or Bridge. It crashes every time. It doesn't amtter if I have preselected files or click Photomerge from within a blank document.
Laptop is a Dell XPS with plenty of free HDD and 8GB RAM.
Software:
PS CS5.1 x64
WIN7 Pro x64
All software was legally purchased through a registered Adobe dealer but Adobe won't assist me as they've shipped CS6.
We are teaching 3 young 8 year olds Dreamweaver CS6 and Photoshop CS6 (recent installations). We are going fine with Dreamweaver but then we needed to learn how to manipulate images. In particular make new logos for the site and create images for uplaoding from the camera.
We are new to photoshop CS6 but wouldn't expect the issues we are getting right now.
We can't open jpegs completely. We get a transparent background or just a part image. Must be something we are doing wrong I guess. It looks fine in Bridge but really isn't loading well in Photoshop.
Here is where you can see about the laptop we are using : [URL]....
Here is a screendump of the issue: [URL]....
By the way this is a site [URL]....which we are using dreamweaver for. We have made a members login page which appears to be working but as you can see unfortunately we badly need to create a logo and make some images for their site which isn't created yet. If I can keep them from games and from Minecraft then we will make progress
It needs to be ready soon so that I can get a domain for them and host it on my Dad's servers.
Bridge will not longer allow me to open photo files directly into Camera Raw, saying a "qualifying" program must be open; I have Bridge and Photoshop CS 6.5 Extended open.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have several options in Bridge for opening files ... we can always open in the RAW editor ...BUT if we simply want to OPEN directly to CS4 > when we right click to OPEN the image >it goes directly to our EMAIL ? Can not find a spot in PREFERENCES to change this function ?
View 5 Replies View RelatedRecently, Bridge has stopped opening pictures in Photoshop CS6. Each time I try the screen signals that Photoshop has to close down. However, I can open the pictures in ACR 7.4, but again, those images will not open in Photoshop. If I use the Mini Bridge in Photoshop, everything works fine, It seems there is a problem in the link from Bridge CS6 to Photoshop CS6.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCS6 Bridge appears to work fine, however when I try to open a file into Photoshop CS6 I get a flag saying it cannot find Photoshop CS4?
View 18 Replies View RelatedI've been retreiving picture files from CD's and saving them to my computer through Adobe Bridge in CS3. When I put the CD in the CD drive, I would get a dialog box asking "Open With" and listing all the different programs that are in the computer like Adobe CS3, Adobe Bridge, Windows Media Player, etc. I highlight "Adobe Bridge" then "OK", and then click on that drive in my folders list and the pics open up in Bridge. My problem is that I (stupidly?) checked the box at the bottom of the dialog box that says something like "Always open with this program". Now when I load in the CD, that dialog box doesn't come up and the pic files don't come up in Bridge, even after going to that drive in my folders menu and clicking it..
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to configure Bridge to open with the last used directory? My Bridge opens to the directory it was on when I first saved my workspace and I would like it to open with the last used.
View 9 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop Elements 8 (version 8.0). This is first time I tried to use photo downloader from Adobe Bridge (CS4 3.0.0.464) with my iphone 4s. It crashes every time. Have been to preferences and deleted adobe.downloader.plist. Still crashes.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust downloaded PS6 and when I try to open a pic from the mini bridge by pressing O it opens in Windows Live Photo Gallery instead od PS.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOf late I've been having difficulty with trying to open some of my PSD and TIFF files from within Bridge. I have the same problem from the Open Recent sub menu under File. I get a notification that pops up saying it can't open the file "...due to program error." This is a fairly recent problem I'm having.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn PS CS3 there was a preference setting to automatically open Bridge when Photoshop was launched.
This setting seems to be absent in CS5.
Is there any way to get both apps to launch simultaneously?
I am working in PS 7 OS 10.1.5. I have a file that was working on, saving as I went along. I closed the file and when I tried to reopen it, the file would not open. I get a message ... File can not be opened because of a program error...

View 1 Replies View RelatedTrying to open a DNG or a NEF file causes ACR to lock completely. The only way to quit is to Force Quit. I am a MAC user, Mavericks, long time PSCC user. This problem just occurred. It is not a plug-in conflict.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow do I change a specific file type association in Bridge CS5, namely the .psd file type? I had installed Photoshop CS6, but am unable to use it due to extreme slowness (another problem, not for this question). I have reverted to using Photoshop CS5 and Bridge CS5.
Now when I double-click on a .psd file in Bridge CS5 to open it (or right-click on the .psd file) , the file opens up in the glacially slow CS6. I went to edit> preferences>file type associations to change the association to Photoshop CS5, but .psd is not listed as a file type (.jpg and .dng and a host of other file types are listed). How can I change the association if I cannot find the file type? (BTW: I have changed the file type association in Windows Explorer; I am running Windows XP.) I know I can open PS CS5 manually and scroll to the image I want to open but, to my mind, that defeats one of the main purposes of Bridge.
When opened, PS CS6 generates a "Could not complete your request because of a program error" dialog. I click OK and the program runs. However, File>Automate>PhotoMerge generates Error 8800 with reference to Line: 1085 --> if ((app.systemInformation.search(/PhotomergeUI/) < 0
I delete the program, reload from Cloud and it runs OK until update the program via cloud services. Repeat above error sequence.
i can visualize a PSD or AI from Windows without opening the program?
WINDOWS 7
PHOTOSHOP CS6
I have Windows 7 64 pro installed. Tried the CC on Windows 8 64bit pro and they didn't play well together. Windows 7 seems to work fine. Good enough. So, I have the 64 bit version of PS CC pinned to the taskbar. When I click on it, it opens right up. Then if I go to Lightroom 5 and open a file, it opens right up in Photoshop CC 64 bit. However, if PS is not open and I open a file from lightroom, Photoshop CC 32bit opens. Not what I want.
Ok, so you say go the defaults menu and change the default opening program? Doesn't work. Switches right back to CC 32bit.
latest updates installed correctly... cs5 and cc6 installed on same machine... now the problem... when sending an image to the printer in cc the program crashes.... but it does not crash when the image is sent using cs5 .
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to drag an image out of project bin to an image in the workspace my program crashes. I have reinstalled the program but still doing this. All updates are done and I'm at a loss as what to do.
View 5 Replies View RelatedInstead of opening the psd-file normally from bridge into photoshop the file converts to smart object.
I used to work with CS3 where double-clicking in Bridge on a psd-file would open it in Photoshop. Now, when I double click in Bridge (CS6) it opens a "quick time pro" file, which I definitely don't want. When I use the right mouse to "place in Photoshop" it does so, but then automatically converts the file into a smart object, which I don't want either. What need I do to open a psd-file in Bridge as normal psd-file in Photoshop?
For no reason that I can think of, When I click on a single image in Bridge to preview or to try and select multiple images to load as layers or merge to HDR, the first image clicked opens in ACR. How can i Stop this?
