Photoshop :: CS6 Crashes When Selecting Print Command?
Apr 9, 2013
Starting a few weeks ago Photoshop CS6 crashes every time when selecting the print command with the error : "Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working" This happens using different printers and when printing anything, including a blank page. Printing works fine from other applications.
Running Photoshop CS6 v.13.1.2 x32 on Windows 7 Professional 64bit
This is a Dell Optiplex 990, I7 3.4GHz, 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD system, AMD ATI RADEON HD 6350 PCIe Video Card on a 16x bus
Â
1) Photoshop has been updated
2) OS has been updated
3) Video drivers have been updated with new ones from the manufacturer
4) I tried new drivers for our Kyocera TaskAlfa 3550ci
5) I tried new drivers for our Kyocera FS-3140MFP
6) I also tried removing all of the printers except "Adobe PDF" printer
Here is an example event from the Windows Application Log after photoshop crashed.
I am having a problem with a delay in selecting an object and selecting a command.
When I select an object the pointer has at least a 3 second delay before it starts moving around normally again. It is the same with selecting a command. This has started to get tedious. It has worked fine in the past so I don't think it is a RAM/graphics card problem.
-PC based system running Windows Home Premium 64 bit8 GB ramLots of hdd spaceCS5.5 Master Suite -Epson Sylus Photo R1900  Operating system, CS5 suite and printer drivers all updated.  When attempting to print a photo, it can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes for the print dialog box to open up. It takes SO LONG that it appears that Photoshop has frozen, but it has not. The print dialog box opens eventually. This started about 2 months ago. I have looked at all preferences, assigned more RAM to Photoshop, uninstalled and reinstalled the entire suite, ran all updates, uninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers - all to no avail.  I am at a loss as to why it would take SO LONG for the print dialog box to open after selecting print? I thought there may be a problem with the print spooler or print queue, but the slowness happens BEFORE the print back system is touched. The print queue is empty, and there is nothing stuck in there. I've checked.
my CS6 keeps crashing constantly. Sometimes it's after I click a tooltip, sometimes it's when I save, sometimes it's when I use a keyboard shortcut. I get the same crash report every time:  Problem signature:  Problem Event Name:   APPCRASH  Application Name:   Photoshop.exe  Application Version:   13.0.0.0  Application Timestamp:   4f61c045  Fault Module Name:   atio6axx.dll  Fault Module Version:   6.14.10.10834
Photoshop Elements 10 - Group Shot Crashes after I select the option from the menu. I am using Windows XP. Is there a workaround or is there a way to fix this?Â
I select the Text tool (Gimp 2.8) and then I double click to bring up the box that allows me to choose the Font I require. When I use the up and down arrow to find the font that I require GIMP shuts down. It also happens if I don't use the button but use the slider. If I don't save any work before I select the Text tool I lose everything.
finally deduced it was when I clicked a video for flagging. I removed the videos from the catalog but that defeats the purpose. I tried the ui.dll and did rename the ui.dll.old file. I unstalled and reinstalled LR5 and update to 5.3. Its working now but like I said I removed the video.  issue was when I put in the ui.dll then LR would not even open up so effectively I did not do the ui.dll because I couldnt,. I did it successfully for lr3 when I had the edit/flagging crashes without issue this is weird.Â
Like the title says, every time I click on "Slideshow", LR5 crashes - immediately (it does start to set up the screen for this module, but never completes). I tried LR4.4 and it works fine. I recently upgraded (about 3 weeks ago) to LR5 from 4.4, and I haven't had any significant problems otherwise.
my corel crashing every time I try to select the color palette menu in the window dropdown, try to change the palette in the solid fill color window, and also in the outline color window. I have tried changing the color preset, reinstalling, resetting to defaults, am updated to the newest version (15.2.0.686), installing the hot fixes, blah, blah blah....... everything.
3 out of every 4 times I select a hatch, to edit properties or delete, AutoCAD gives me the FATAL ERROR message and cannot continue. It is not just in one file, but in any file from what I can tell. Not just imported hatches either, AutoCAD standard hatches as well. I have reinstalled, downloaded whatever service pack I could find. This is so harmful to productivity.
So, I have a "Fit Screen" image open with no canvas.  I select "Print Size", and it reduces the image size, but leaves a huge expanse of canvas that I have to drag in to remove.  Where is the setting to prevent that? (CS-6)
Since upgrading to AutoCAD Architecture 2013 I've noticed that the sequence in which I type my commands no long works. I used to be able to highlight various items and then type in the command I want to apply to these items - i.e. Mirror, Erase, Scale, etc. But now with 2013 I will select the items, then type in the command, and the it asks me to again select the items I wish to apply the command to. What settings I need to change in order to fix this?
My AutoCAD Map 2014 still allows me to select objects and then type the command to, for example, delete the items. I was able to do it in my Civil3d but it seems something was toggled so that I'm no longer able to. Now if I select items, once I select a command, it essentially unselects the objects or doesn't recognize that they are selected.
Back in Acad2002 when I selected a command (line, for example) the crosshairs would lose the pickbox around them and I could precisely pick the area I want with no obstruction. I see in 2012, that following those same steps, leaves the pickbox around the crosshairs and thus makes it obtrusive to precisely pick exactly what I want. Is there a system variable to make that pickbox disappear while I am making my selection?
This has happened since I installed the program last year. Photoshop crashes no matter what kind of image file I try to print. I use a MacBook Pro and an Epson Stylus Photo R200 printer. I have checked for driver updates and there are none. The printer works fine with other programs. I tried following the directions to run Photoshop in 32 bit mode but the option does not come up in my menu.   Here is the latest error report.

We just upgraded our user to CS 5.5 from CS 4. He still has CS4 installed. When we go to print the item he's working on via "Print" the program crashes. When we click "Print options" that crashes. Alternatively when we print via "Print one page" that works. I have removed and added the printer since we did the install and his version of software is fully up to date. Here's the error log. Everytime I try to Print from Photoshop CS4 it will crash CS4. I have tried to set the default printer as the Microsoft Image Writer with no success. It does not matter if the image is a JPG or TIFF image. I have XP SP3 installed and it is fully patched.
I am running 64-bit Photoshop CS5 Extended upgraded to current version (12.0.4).  When I try to print, every single time, I get the following error immediately:  > Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working Windows is checking for a solution to the problem  and then shortly after  > Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.  Quite infuriating. My printer works fine. I can print photos to it from Lightroom no problem (which, in this occasion, I had to do - saved from PS, imported to LR, then printed... very efficient!!).  I note there are other posts on this but they seem to be mostly Mac and also many seem to cure by upgrading to 12.0.4.  I am a relatively light user (keen amateur not professional) so I don't use PS regularly. However this also means it is pretty much an out-of-the-box install since I don't tinker with it either. It's so long since I last used it I can't remember if I had this problem last time - I vaguely recall having had it sometimes but not others. Doesn't seem to matter whether the file I opened is a JPG or a PSD (the only two I have tried).
Everytime I try to print from Photoshop CS6 using Windows 8 Photoshop crashes. I click the print option from the File Menu and bam it crashes and shutdown. No error message no nothing. I have installed the latest updates and still no go.
Just bought a new iMac with OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2). Installed my HP PhotoSmart C4180 printer and its drivers, it prints fine from Adobe Acrobat and scans just fine. I went to print from Photoshop CS5, and once I decided my settings and hit "Print" the program crashed and has done so consistently. I've provided the crash report below. Â Process:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Adobe Photoshop CS5 [13103] Path:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Adobe Photoshop CS5.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Photoshop CS5
PSE 8 will not print. Two printers are installed by windows 7, B/W and Colour.  Read support from Adobe about PSE 8 Organizer a to get a print job done but no PRINT box to select. By Right clicking on photo print shows but crashes Organizer. Have sent a description back. PSE 8 was reinstalled after HD changed to SSD. Was reactivated after install.
I have tried to load dbconnect on several 64 bit workstations usinf "dbc" and "dbconnect". In all cases AutoCAD Map 3d stops working. Generally, the workstation just spins and you have to end the program with task manager, but I do have on Win 7 machine that crashes all the way out. There is never an AutoCAD error message or opportunity to report the issue to Autodesk.
I am working in Photoshop CS3 Extended and I suddenly do not have access to the print command (or to page setup, or print one copy). These three commands are grayed out while the rest of the File drop down menu is active. No trouble printing in other apps.
