Is there a way to fit text to path, where the text has already been converted to curves?

Sure if you convert to sRGB, in a wide gamut setup, the image will look good on old monitors.
BUT it won't look good on the new ones. Nobody talks about that. It really seems that some of the high end coporate sites are already converting to adobeRGB and putting images on the web that are converted to AdobeRGB and not sRGB. The photos look great in my browser on my wide gamut monitor and those sites' photos seem washed out on the sRGB monitors I used on the same sites.
There is no way for me to know for sure sinced the images are untagged but when I download them and apply the AdobeRGB profile to them, it looks just like in the browser. The sRGB profile washes out the image. Look at [URL] ....
I am working on a project which needs..Text frames to be converted as flash text >property changed to dynamic text > writing instance name “_txt”.so how can i write scripting on above process.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to LR4. I have a number of images that I converted to black and white using Silver Efex pro directly from Lightroom 3. I also have scans of images from black and white negatives in my catalog. When updating these images from process 2010 to process 2012 in LR4 each image becomes ever so slightly warmer (dirtier) on the screen. I noticed this because when updating the process I checked the review changes via before/after box. Some of the images where tweaked a bit in lightroom 3, others not. Strange thing is that when I run the cursor over the images the RGB values in the histogram are exactly the same in the before and after images.
I would have to say the before looks cleaner and more neutral. I don't mind using process 2010 for previously worked on images; however, it does seem to defeat the purpose of upgrading.
When opening a prior version CDR the RGB black text is converted to CMYK, othere RGB objects remain RGB. This is a big problem for me as printed blacks will be dark brown not K.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI am having a weird problem with some files I'm getting from a third party. They are created in CS4, then saved to EPS v.10. I need the text in the file to remain live, but every time it gets saved to EPS 10, it gets outlined. URL....
I have been able to verify that ligatures is sometimes the culprit, but I think there's something in the way this one person is creating the files that's causing the problem. I've opened hundreds of EPS 10 files from other users that have live type. Yet when I take this one person's original AI file and down-save it, the text gets outlined.
It's a very simple file - no transparency or other red flags that I can see. At first I thought maybe it was just the font, but I have used the same font in tests, and down-saved to v.10, with no text outlining.
I had saved several X6 files to x5 and x4, and found that the text within had converted to curves.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently noticed that my multiline text boxes in old drawings have been splitting themselves into multiple multiline text boxes. They aren't exploding into single line text because it won't let me use the convert command to turn them into multiline because they are already multiline.
I know the dimassoc command can be set to a certain value to cause all dimensions to explode but is there some kind of command that could have change itself and is causing this problem?
I am saving a PDF from Illustrator CS4 that contains only 100% black text. My print provider is telling me that the text in the PDF has been converted to 4C, rich black. I have tried all different PDF creation settings (high quality, press quality, PDFX3, default) from Illustrator but nothing works. How can I create a PDF that maintains 100% black and prevents it from converting to process black?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI use Canon 60D and normally shoot in mRAW. I am considering a move to DNG conversion so I did some test conversions and was amazed to find that, far from reducing the size of my mRAW files, it increased them by about 60%. I repeated the exercise with RAW files and found that this did reduce the size of the files by over 10%. In fact, i ended up with the crazy situation where the DNG files converted from mRAW were much bigger than those converted from RAW.
Below are some sample sizes based on Medium previews, Embed fast load data - YES, Embed original RAW file - NO, Compatibility Camera Raw 7.1 and later
Before : mRAW 17Mb mRAW 12Mb
After: DNG 28.5Mb DNG 21Mb
Before: RAW 23Mb RAW 22Mb
After: DNG 20Mb DNG 19Mb
If I went for Full Preview, the DNG sizes rose by about 2 Mb
why the mRAW conversion is so inefficient?
I am still not entirely sure whether to adopt DNG but, if i do, it looks like I certainly won't be using mRAW as the source.
I open a .NEF in Bridge, go into ACR and open the file as a Smart Object in Photoshop. Double-click the layer icon and I'm back in ACR, just like all the demos and seminars I've watched. But, take the SAME .NEF in Bridge and open it as a standard image in Photoshop, then CONVERT it to a smart object, double-click the layer icon and all I get is a .psd and NOT jump into ACR. It does exactly the same thing with a .dng file And from Lightroom OR ACR...
I found an entry from a discussion (not in here, I couldn't find anything about this in here) about CS3 (yes 3), where a user had this problem and was told it's because the original image was opened as a rasterized image, NOT as a Smart Object from ACR... Which isn't making sense to me 'cause who cares what it was way back when, it's NOW a Smart Object and should be treated like one no matter HOW it got there...
Is there some preference or setting or something I need to change in Photoshop so this will work as expected is is there really some restriction about exactly HOW the Smart Object got created? And if so, is there some paragraph is big, bold letters in the documentation that makes it really clear to the uninformed that you MUST open it as a Smart Object or it won't work?
And yes, I KNOW that in ACR I can set it so it defaults to opening as a Smart Object, but like many other PS users I normally use Lightroom and I haven't seen any such default. Which means it's REALLY easy to forget to go down to the Open as Smart Object and instead just hit Open in Photoshop...
in photoshop CS4, I use Adobe RGB (1998) as my working profile. I open a document, I change it's profile from RGB, using "view"-"mode", to anything else, say Lab, and everything is fine up to now, but then I undo the change, and what I get is a darker image than before. I don't get the original image I opened. Same thing happens if I use the "convert to profile" option also.
I close the image and reopen it, it still looks darker. I restart photoshop and open the image, only then I get the original image with normal colors again. This happens only when I convert back to RGB, not from RGB and not between any other profiles.
at some point, change the color profile from RGB to any other profile and then back to RGB the image looks darker, and the only way to fix this is restarting photoshop. this didn't happen in any versions before cs4, what should I do?

After a layer is converted for smart filters, the whole image still must be made 8 bit to apply a smart filter only to the converted layer, which defeats the purpose of the layer conversion and the utility of smart filters. My Question:
Was this conversion a result of something I did...or something that needs to be taken care of by the host of the ad server?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm a writer and what you see below was my first published article back in 1999, therefore I would like to have a good copy. As you can tell, the newspaper in the image is beat up and faded, so I thought I would chop up the JPG, lay it all out again in PS and fly in my text.
When I select text from WORD and paste it into a PS Text box, there are enormous gaps in between sentences. How I can fly my text into the re-done article so it looks exactly like the newspaper copy, except the text is crispy and clear-y.
