Is there a way to fit text to path, where the text has already been converted to curves?
I had saved several X6 files to x5 and x4, and found that the text within had converted to curves.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a complex pattern, that looks brilliant with a color layer. However, it was originally created RGB.
I converted the color to CMYK for print, and all the color disappears! Not that the layer is deleted, but the color layer appears Grayscale. The only area where color shows up are in the pieces that are at 50% transparency (see purple diamond). I have all my color areas set to CMYK including the color pallet.
The color will show if I set the layer to multiply, but it doesn't look the same way as it does when its in RGB mode.

I was working a document on photoshop cs5, and when i opened it the next day, all my "texts" have been converted into "images"..

Also i wonder what made the file size to increase so much.i converted all fonts to curves too.. decreased the resolution and tried but nothing seemed to decrease the file size.
I am having a weird problem with some files I'm getting from a third party. They are created in CS4, then saved to EPS v.10. I need the text in the file to remain live, but every time it gets saved to EPS 10, it gets outlined. URL....
I have been able to verify that ligatures is sometimes the culprit, but I think there's something in the way this one person is creating the files that's causing the problem. I've opened hundreds of EPS 10 files from other users that have live type. Yet when I take this one person's original AI file and down-save it, the text gets outlined.
It's a very simple file - no transparency or other red flags that I can see. At first I thought maybe it was just the font, but I have used the same font in tests, and down-saved to v.10, with no text outlining.
I have to print an eps file. I have converted it to PDF which gets rid of the thin white lines but creates detectable gradients in the color of the background. Even when imported to photoshop, the gradients are still there in defined color stripes. I have tried exporting from illustrator and pdf to tiff format but still get the gradients. Is there any way that the file can be converted without these gradients?

The user is having a problem with imported jpgs. When she creates a Corel document, she usually imports a jpg as a background, then places text over it. When she prints, the text created in Corel is in color, but the imported jpg is B&W. The issue just started. She has used Corel 11 for some time.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSince yesterday all of a sudden my OKI color printer shows white areas in a sandy color, when I use CMYK as color modes. Other colors are shown in false colors, too. This effect is also shown in print preview, what means for me, it´s not a printer issue.
Refilling areas with colors in RGB works, but I don´t want to live with this workaround. Nearly all my Corel graphics are made using CMYK.
I have finished a logo for my friend Bob in Corel Draw X4. Made it in CMYK color mode. Used 3 nuances of green color previously given to me vith RGB values. My Corel change it to CMYK. I sent the file to Bob.
He has Corel Draw X5. When he opened the file and checked the CMYK values he was surprised because they were different from mine.
I immediately found an on-line RGB to CMYK converter to check which data is more valid when i got totally different CMYK values. Now i am truly worried and don't know what to think.
Here are the values:
BOB
RGB 116/195/101
CMYK 60/0/84/0
RGB 41/171/135
CMYK 80/7/64/0

I was at a corel seminar this weekend and there was a lot of discussion about RGB & CMYK. In the class they showed us how to disable CMYK but I was not close enough to see how this was done.

I am a musician doing the CD cover of my band's 3rd CD.
On the CD back I have images, text and the usual barcode. How can I publich to pdf from X5 so my images keep CMYK and my barcodes keep Black & White? My CD label gave this comment after the pdf I sent them:
"I think you do not understand that the barcodes and codes in general HAVE TO BE IN BLACK/WHITE. You cannot just integrate it in the 4 colour artwork as if it is a picture."
I use X5 upgraded directly to SP3 and PDF file shows Corel PDF engine version:15.2.0.686
I have downloaded a Free vector (.cdr) file which was designed using RGB color. This files has 100's of objects that are in color with RGB..
Is there a way to convert the RGB color's to cmyk without having to do each one by hand?
Maybe some kind of "Macro?
I need to do this because I am going to have this design printed on a T-Shirt and the printer uses "CMYK 4-Color Process" for their printing.

COREL PAINT X3 does not do a very good job of rendering most of the CMYK images we've been getting in from our Taiwan base, and, due to language problems, we have been unable, despite decades of trying, to communicate the issues. Typically we do the original photo here, something that I used to do, but now the company uses a professional photographer - not wanting to spend big bucks on a professional camera.
His ultra-hi-res RGB photos are sent to Taiwan, where they are cleaned up and converted to CMYK using an unknown color scheme, for use in printing our mini catalog. Then I get the catalog back - in InDesign - with instructions to convert the linked CMYK photos back to RGB for use on the website, etc. The color model that they are using in Taiwan, however, typically has deep black at something like 70,65,65,70, which shows on the screen in Paint as very dark and garish, and it means that if I use the default RGB conversion, it looks that way in RGB as well, and half the picture will be solid black - 0,0,0. I.e., unusable. Oddly enough, however, it prints just fine. Now I'm pretty good with Paint, and I know how to use the tone curve to reset the values in the CMYK to usable levels, but it takes time, usually 3 or 4 tries to get it on the money, and of course in the process I'm compressing the color space by half, so there is an inevitable loss of detail.Of course, if I could get them to send us the original RGB or their cleaned up - background dropped out - version in RGB, then the problem would be eliminated, but no luck so far on that. My question is, is there any way to simplify what I'm having to do?
when im working a bitmap in corel draw and then finish them and i need to savi it in CMYK,how can i do that?? when i go to the simple way and just export them i lose my initial colors of the image.

We need to convert it to Pantone for screen printing. The whole thing can be reduced to 6 colors without changing the look. View 14 Replies View RelatedA few months ago I made the switch from X3 to X6. I use Corel for lasering, and need a RGB red hairline for the vector cutting. All of my old files were done this way, but for some reason when they are opened in X6, they are opening with a CMYK red hairline, which does not cut on my laser.
Is there a way to get this to change automatically on old files, or do I just have to do it manually as I need them? I have thousands of files, and I seem to forget to change this sometimes.
I do have it set for RGB to be my default now, so anything new I create isn't a problem -- just the old files.
Create a new document in X5. Choose CMYK as the "Primary Color Mode" in the "Create a new document" dialog box.
Draw a rectangle. The Eyedropper Tool tells me it is RGB 0, 0, 0. Shouldn't it be CMYK 0, 0, 0,100? Is there a simple way to fix this to default to CMYK?
what the correct way to print CMYK profiling target using corel draw X5.
The target is in tiff file format, I'm suing xerox DC250 with creo RIP.
I work at a small newspaper and use CorelDraw X5 (the rest of the newspapers in our company all use Adobe products).
When we get for example, a logo sent to us (also happens with PDF's that are sent to us as well), many times the black is registration black and I need it to be CMYK.
When we PDF the ad to send it for printing the black is on all 4 plates (CMYK) our printer says, drop CorelDraw spend $2000+ and get in design and CS5 and your troubles will go away. I am hoping there is a solution that lets me continue to use CorelDraw as I love this program and do not want to switch.
