May 20, 2009I have a predesigned .psd with a text layer that I'm trying to edit in Photoshop CS2. The text is written on a slightly slanted plane, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to straighten out that plane so the text is completely horizontal.

May 7, 2012I'm drawing a small map, and in several places there is text rotated so as to fit next to a slanted line. The problem comes when I decide to move the text, usually along a line parallel to itself, or perhaps in some other direction.
As far as I can tell, the only way to select the text is with the lasso tool, which can be very difficult, because of the close tolerances. Maybe the easiest way is simply to erase the text and re-create it. So, is there some way to rotate the selection box, so I can grab the slanted text easily?

Oct 3, 2013I'm a writer and what you see below was my first published article back in 1999, therefore I would like to have a good copy. As you can tell, the newspaper in the image is beat up and faded, so I thought I would chop up the JPG, lay it all out again in PS and fly in my text.
When I select text from WORD and paste it into a PS Text box, there are enormous gaps in between sentences. How I can fly my text into the re-done article so it looks exactly like the newspaper copy, except the text is crispy and clear-y.

May 29, 2005Any idea how to do this since I heard it was possible - say I have an scanned image with text in it - say the words 'Blue' in a certain font, I would like to change those words to the words 'Red' in the same exact font and font size. Jul 15, 2013I know that Photoshop is not the premier pdf creation software. I do have InDesign as well, but I'm much more familiar and comfortable with Photoshop (I have the CC versions of both) so I prefer to use it as my design and layout tool.
However, when I save as a pdf the resultant pdf file is blurry for images and text, not horribly so, but not sharp and clear as I would like. My pdf files are for the web and emailing so I need to keep the file size in check, but even when I up the PS resolution to 300psi it still is not as clear as I would like. Still blurry.
What do you Photoshop experts out there do to produce the sharpest pdf possible? Is it even possible using Photoshop only or do you have to use InDesign or Acrobat Pro to get the clarity and shapness?

Jul 17, 2006I am a molecular biologist trying to use either photoshop or illustrator to label data (I have both programs, 1 may be better than the other for what I need, but I am not sure). The data I want to label are essentially pictures, of varying size, with a resolution of 50pixel/cm (around 127ppi).
The best analogy of the transformations of my data would be a picture of some random object taken next to a ruler. I need to label the ruler, then remove the actual ruler and just leave the labels. I have several of these pictures, and I label them like this individually.

Jun 20, 2003Im creating a label for my CD, and I created the images with PS7 & then imported them into coreldraw in EPS format to do the text. (I heard that vector programs create cleaner, crisper text than bitmap programs,and my fonts are between 8 - 10 size). I added my text & some vector clipart then printed it directly from CorelDraw & the text & clipart was super crisp but the imported image was gritty, so I exported the entire file back into PS7 in Corel EPS format. I printed it in PS7 & the reverse happened: The image was nice & clean & the text was gritty. Am I importing/exporting in some wrong fashion, or there a way to have both my images & text come out crisp & clean?

Mar 15, 2007I have set of imagery in tiff format. For each of the images i have information such as coordinates where it was taken. This is in a text file.
The images are quite large. Like 800mb each.
What i am doing at this point is :
I open each image, copy the details from the text file and paste it inside the image and also I add my company logo. Then i resize it and reduce the size to a suitable one like 40 mb for printing.
What i was wondering if there is a possibility that this can be automated? Like a script or a program that will read from the text file the details, place them inside the image, put the logo in the appropriate place and resize.
