I am trying to create graphics for a cable TV show. Text and logos over moving film images.
Is that something that is done with Photoshop or is there a program out there that people use most often in that manor?
I have set of imagery in tiff format. For each of the images i have information such as coordinates where it was taken. This is in a text file.
The images are quite large. Like 800mb each.
What i am doing at this point is :
I open each image, copy the details from the text file and paste it inside the image and also I add my company logo. Then i resize it and reduce the size to a suitable one like 40 mb for printing.
What i was wondering if there is a possibility that this can be automated? Like a script or a program that will read from the text file the details, place them inside the image, put the logo in the appropriate place and resize.
Can I move in Video Studio objects like photos/logos in a fully custom, controlled professional way ?
I mean seriously speaking even youtube tutorials from people having popular tutorial channels look quite amateur so not sure if Corel video studio is any good for making for example nice looking serious marketing clips.
In particular I want to achieve pretty basic effect with sliding transparent title bar and then title appearing (for example current speaker name) and then slide off.
It's the basic thing you see on TV all the time in talk shows or news channels.
Do I need to literally for example create white rectangular jpg first to use it as a background bar for subtitles? And then for example apply transparency, animate it and then shpw/animate text on top?I know there are attributes like Enter from right etc, but it's so simple and template like Powerpoint. I mean, I don't expect rolling in and out animation but at least more control over movement direction, position and timing.I think the newest Path feature from X6 looks like something I would be after but is there anything for that in X5? It seams very basic feature.
if I want to keep it tidy and apply the same animation for each title/text do just copy the set of clips with effects or there are ways of saving the 'template' so it is equally precise and the same every time throughout the movie.
Im making a website, and im not that educated on the new photoshop. I need to make a few buttons, and the main logo have a transparent background.

I wanted to have a couple images for the entry pages that give the site a sort of archive-y, slightly cluttered and haphazard feel. I recently got Photoshop CS2 and have some experience using it and previous versions, though I'm not an expert designer by any means. The two things I'd like to do are:
1. Find a plugin/filter/process to make jpg photo images appear to be old photos sitting on the background. I.e. make them a little warped, give a sense of depth & slight shadow, maybe even a slightly tattered edge. Basically to give the viewer an impression of several photographs scattered on top of a surface (in this case, the white background), maybe some tossed partway on top of others.
2. For the film content, I wanted an image of a 16mm film strip with screen captures from the films displayed as if they were each frame. I can do this with an image of flat 16mm movie film with the screen caps sized to fit the frames, but I'd *really* like to make that film sort of wavy and/or looped. Is there a way to warp a flat image like that into something that looks convincingly wavy, as if the film was just taken out of the canister?
I downloaded Paint.net to resize pics, images, or logos and to create window stickers. However, I am completely new to it all! After playing with it and using it for a few days, I've done a few things with gradients paintbrush and text.
1)When I am placing graphics AND text on a new creation, for some reason I can only add the text FIRST and not AFTER I add any graphics. (So, if I mess up after getting my graphics on there and realize I need my text moved, I gotta start ALL over!
2) Is there any instruction book on the program out there anywhere??? anywhere??? maybe a Paint.net book for Dummies???
3) How do I resize photo's?? How do I work with layers?
4) WHERE is the align tool? (or align object tool.....whatever it's called) I need a simple way to CENTER text and pics.....
The program has been useful to me from what I have learned by hitting the wrong buttons by mistake (lol) but I'm sure there are MUCH better ways to do things than what I've been doing......

I am doing a football program. It will be a standard 8.5x11 background page that will have small boxes of each senior, along with a box at the bottom of the photo that has their name and position. Sounds easy enough, I know. I came up with the idea to make a "Sr. Player Block" template with a block (just a rectangle shape) set at the bottom of the page which would allow me to pick the players image, arrange it to where it goes to the back so the block will show, adding their name and position on it, and then I was planning on flattening and saving each block and moving it to the background page. My problem is, is that when I open the actual photo, which looks great, nice and clear, to the block template, it gets pixalated and looks fuzzy! I have also noticed the same problem on some family program ads i have attempted, the photos I have opened (that get opened in a different little box look fine, but when i move them they look blurry...

View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to select part of an image with just one layer. Say I just flattened the image and have to move one part of. I select it with the rectangular select tool. It seems intuitive that I could then just move what I selected, but when I drag the selection, the selection itself moves without moving what is inside the selection.
If I then remember to click the move tool and try to move what's in the selection (seems to work sometimes, maybe when there's multiple layers?) the entire image moves.
The only way I can move part of the image over is if I make a selection and then cut it (ctrl X) then paste it.
How am I supposed to move part of the flattened image, is there a way I can set it to default to "When I select something, I can immediately drag that selected area around."
I have a question. When I add .gif images into Paint.NET, they're not moving..

Now, out of the blue, when I click on a text layer and try to move it with my mouse, CS automatically deselects my text layer and selects the background layer or a shape. Maybe I hit a combination of keys .... well here's the issue. I type text onto a blank layer. I try to move the text. In the pallette, the cursor drops off the text layer, and onto the background, instead. In order to move the text, I wind up clicking on it numerous times, or if I click on it very slowly, I can grab it to move it. This is not how it was working just yesterday. I'm sure this sounds confusing, I'm just not sure how to describe it any better. (It's not my mouse, I tried a different one.) View 3 Replies View RelatedI am ruhnning Windows &7 Pro, 64 bit and I'm experiencing inconsistent behavior in Lightroom 3.5 with regard to moving images within collections. When I try to move an image, to place it in the order in which I would like view the sequence, the image is placed at the end of the sequence no matter where I place it initially. I've tried the filmstrip view and the grid view and it happens in both. I recall doing this without problems previously however it was in the imported Library not a collection, but why would this be different?? One still needs to reorder images in collections. I've made certian to change the "sort" option to user each time I've tried to do this.Â
