AutoDesk Smoke :: Blurring Or Removing Logos?
Feb 13, 2014I've been combing through several tutorials, but I can't seem to find a straightforward way to blur logos. I am looking to track and blur a logo throughout a shot that's already in my sequence. Occasionally instead of a blur, I 'clone stamp' the logo with a nearby area from the image to make the logo disappear.

Photoshop :: Branding Images By Adding Text And Logos Automatically?
Mar 15, 2007I have set of imagery in tiff format. For each of the images i have information such as coordinates where it was taken. This is in a text file.
The images are quite large. Like 800mb each.
What i am doing at this point is :
I open each image, copy the details from the text file and paste it inside the image and also I add my company logo. Then i resize it and reduce the size to a suitable one like 40 mb for printing.
What i was wondering if there is a possibility that this can be automated? Like a script or a program that will read from the text file the details, place them inside the image, put the logo in the appropriate place and resize.
AutoDesk Smoke :: Adding A New Framestore
Apr 26, 2011I've just purchased a new and faster frame store. Added the unit using the 'Smoke Setup' utility. While I am able to create new projects onto the new drive I am unable to render files, produce proxies or process out effects from the desktop. I am presented with "framestore locked".
I thought this would be simple. All other Smoke 2012 components are running normally. The system checker utility also indicates that no framestore found which is pretty indicative (if you can believe that it is reporting correctly as I believe there is a known bug in this updated System Checker). However the the Smoke setup utility clearly indicates that the new framestore has been added.

Apr 23, 2013Im trying to use the add point tracking feature in the MK/Gmask in action. Is this a bug or has the software changed? I used to be able to add a tracking point, scrub media to where the point falls off, select add, hold down control and move the tracker to a new point and it would work fine.
Today no matter what I do when the tracker jumps to the second selected position it just jumps off screen. It even does this if I dont use the add function and stop a track, move to new location and hit snap? Whats up with that?
AutoDesk Smoke :: Difference Between Text From Soft Fx And Text In Action
Mar 21, 2012Why is there a difference between the text from the soft fx and the text in action? If you look at the attached picture, the 3 lines look slightly different although they shouldn't. The first line was written inside the soft fx.
The second line, with an ugly outline, is the 3D text, and although it's the same font, it looks thinner here.
And the third line, which I think looks a little too soft, is with AA turned on in action.
So why can't I achieve the same look in action, as in the text soft fx?

Apr 24, 2013I have composed a scene in action that contains 3d text with a reflection layer. I animated the reflection to keep the part of the image that I want to appear on the letters in view. Everything looks ok when I step through in action or click preview, but comes out wrong when I render.
It looks like there may be some sort of timing issue, so I've checked for slip and TW problems and found none. I've also checked for transitions on other axes that might cause a problem and see none. Is this a bug?

Dec 22, 2013I have two questions on animating 2D text. First, is there a way to randomize the actual text, as you can do in AE? For example, I have a string of numbers, le's say "24234" and I'd like them to change randomly over time. Second, I'd like the text to flicker on and off, but on regular intervals, such as every frame it would alternate from 0% opacity to 100% opacity. I was thinking of doing this with an expression that would simply evaluate the frame, and outout 0 or 1 depending on whether the frame is even or odd.

AutoCad :: Adding Client Logos To Drawing Title Block?
Apr 20, 2012I am about to recieve an order to provide drawings to a new client who has requested me to author an new blank drawing title block for the required drawings. The company does however have a Logo and other necessary details.
My question is: What format should the logo be in and how do I transfer this into the drawing title block, bearing in mind that I will most likely have to change the size to suite the various size drawings sheets, namely A0, A1, A2 etc?
I have attempted to search for this information on CT and having found the topic been denied request to open whatever. This is a copy of the notification receive when attempting to open a topic:

Toolbar (the new tab) -> text/input: none -> Load -> roll down menu to "text file" -> roll down menu to "UTF-8" -> click the text file i've created using TextEdit = nothing happens.
Have i missed something very obvious or is it broken?
In TextEdit i choose to make the text "plain" so i can save it as a UTF-8 but during the load of the textfile smoke "tells me" "Cannot open"

The only way I would know how to do it is manually typing every letter, but that's a lot of work! Jun 13, 2012a) is it possible to change the default font that gets activated for a project or sequence? Every time we add a title it defaults to "Discreet" - it would be good if it learns from past changes at least for the sequence.
b) it would be good if the default font color changes to a color that contrasts with the background when starting to type. E.g. we had a rather white scene, started typing and no text ever showed up. I then had to go back to the full text editor, change the color etc.
c) moving the color sliders in the color selector manually without a Wacom seems to slow by default. It takes forever to move to a brighter color. And using the picker is cumbersome (we do that as a work-around instead of moving the slider). The OK button for the color sliders is not very visible, sometimes leading to us clicking away without saving the newly selected color by accident.
