View 3 Replies View RelatedI have updated my windows version of PE 9 to 9.03. However, when I want to move a selection from one pic to another, I need to open both, then go to Window-images-float all in window, and check that option. However, even after updating, the first 5 options in window-images are greyed out. How can I get them active?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I am editing a picture in Photoshop, I use a lot of keyboard shortcuts for curves, hue/saturation, etc. but I get frustrated that the box shows up right in the middle of the screen, over the picture I am trying to edit. This makes me have to move it out of the way with the mouse to see what the changes will look like. Is there a way to have it default it popping up to a corner of the screen or even a way to move it without having to grab the mouse?. It is my #1 Photoshop frustration and I figure there is a way that I just can't seem to find it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFollowing a hardware change, photoshop automatically re-enabled a feature I had deactivated, the OpenGL acceleration.
Â
I gave up on it 18 months ago because of one thing that incredibly irritated me, the crazy "inertia" when we moved elements.
Â
Let's say you have an open document. The image is too large for your photoshop window, you only see a part of it.
So, you keep the Space key held, and you drag and drop with your left mouse click.
Without openGL acceleration : the moving ends as soon as you release your mouse.
With openGL acceleration : the moving gradually slows down until it comes to an end, meaning you have zero control over your work window.
Â
And, well, that's enough of a bother for me to give up on OpenGL acceleration.
Â
Any way to get rid of this feature ? I searched everywhere I could, I think I tried every one of photoshop's options, but to no avail.
sometimes (there is no rule) when i'm opening a Color Picker window and moving cursor on the palette - my internet browser opens Adobe site. When i try to get back to PS it immediately starts another tab, and another it takes less than 1 second..
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I try and move a corner of my open document with the hand tool to the center of the document window in CS5Â when zoomed out, it stops at the edges and will not move inward any further. It is sometimes more convenient to be able to work on a zoomed in corner of a document when it is centered in the document window. If I go to the rotate tool and set a slight angle, I can then move the document anywhere in the window at any magnification! Is there a setting that is locking the document at the edge of the screen when zoomed out?

I am doing a football program. It will be a standard 8.5x11 background page that will have small boxes of each senior, along with a box at the bottom of the photo that has their name and position. Sounds easy enough, I know. I came up with the idea to make a "Sr. Player Block" template with a block (just a rectangle shape) set at the bottom of the page which would allow me to pick the players image, arrange it to where it goes to the back so the block will show, adding their name and position on it, and then I was planning on flattening and saving each block and moving it to the background page. My problem is, is that when I open the actual photo, which looks great, nice and clear, to the block template, it gets pixalated and looks fuzzy! I have also noticed the same problem on some family program ads i have attempted, the photos I have opened (that get opened in a different little box look fine, but when i move them they look blurry...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed Service Pack 2 in my Vista Ultimate 32bit operating system. After the install I opened PS, CS4 and at first every thing looked ok. I then opened an image file, it came up in RAW, I made initial adjustments, and clicked on open image. The image shows in the Navigator window, but there's nothing in the main editing window. It remains blank. If open another window like my browser over PS, and move that window around it leaves a partial image of the browser on top of the image editing window. I had been using Photoshop just prior to installing SP2 and everything was working ok.

Is that something that is done with Photoshop or is there a program out there that people use most often in that manor?
When I open a picture in photoshop, the window is not big enough to show it all. When I drag it to my retina monitor on my laptop, it scales down. Why can't adobe figure this stuff out? It used to be that your image would open as large as possible on your monitor, and would show the entire image.
If it was larger than your monitor could display, it would scale it to 66.7% or 25% etc so it would fit. I liked that better than this way - now you just see the top corner of your image and have to drag the window larger to see it.
All of my images open way too small in the Photoshop active work window. (CS6) Is there a way to reduce the overall size of the active window?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to select part of an image with just one layer. Say I just flattened the image and have to move one part of. I select it with the rectangular select tool. It seems intuitive that I could then just move what I selected, but when I drag the selection, the selection itself moves without moving what is inside the selection.
If I then remember to click the move tool and try to move what's in the selection (seems to work sometimes, maybe when there's multiple layers?) the entire image moves.
The only way I can move part of the image over is if I make a selection and then cut it (ctrl X) then paste it.
How am I supposed to move part of the flattened image, is there a way I can set it to default to "When I select something, I can immediately drag that selected area around."
I have a question. When I add .gif images into Paint.NET, they're not moving..
Now I'm wondering, is there a plug-in for Paint.NET to add .gif images and edit each frame?

View 2 Replies View Relatedphotoshop CS2 stoped displaying the red channel correctly on all images. The red channel displays very muted color.
After deleting all preferences of CS2, cleaning out the Windows registry, and upgrading to CS3 the problem still remains.
In CS3 however, the color shift goes away if I drag the image outside of Photoshop's main window.
I have a screenshot of this, http://www.miats.com/tmp/PhotoshopIssue.jpg
Photoshop states that both of the large images are solid R:255 G:0 B:0. However, after print screening the images and pasting them back into Photoshop, it shows that the one on the left is actually R:201 G:88 B:34.
The same thing happens for green and blue as well, though the difference is much less dramatic.
I don't remember changing any settings and my laptop (Win XP, CS2) does not have this problem when loading the same images.
My computer is running VISTA 32bit with 3GB of ram. The graphics card is a NVIDIA 6800.
Having just watched Julieanne K's tutorial re making a Blurb book, she began with her images in a story order. How does one move images within a collection to an order different from how they were uploaded or taken? I guess it is simple, but I cannot seem to do it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen moving the sliders the image becomes blurry until the slider is stopped. You do not see the change until the slider is at rest. This occured in the early LR 5.0 beta version but eventually went away in the final. I really do not like this effect.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am ruhnning Windows &7 Pro, 64 bit and I'm experiencing inconsistent behavior in Lightroom 3.5 with regard to moving images within collections. When I try to move an image, to place it in the order in which I would like view the sequence, the image is placed at the end of the sequence no matter where I place it initially. I've tried the filmstrip view and the grid view and it happens in both. I recall doing this without problems previously however it was in the imported Library not a collection, but why would this be different?? One still needs to reorder images in collections. I've made certian to change the "sort" option to user each time I've tried to do this.Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to lr5 and am shooting an event that has different groups of participants. To organize the files after I get them into LR, I separate them into folders based on the individual in the image (it is easier than it sounds) . But to my surprise, when I move them, the images are removed from the original folder and are not in the new folder. I am hoping that they are being lost in the catalog and not being deleted.Â

How can I fiend the images again, and how can I get LR to recognize the images in the future...I am moving them within LR!
