I just installed Service Pack 2 in my Vista Ultimate 32bit operating system. After the install I opened PS, CS4 and at first every thing looked ok. I then opened an image file, it came up in RAW, I made initial adjustments, and clicked on open image. The image shows in the Navigator window, but there's nothing in the main editing window. It remains blank. If open another window like my browser over PS, and move that window around it leaves a partial image of the browser on top of the image editing window. I had been using Photoshop just prior to installing SP2 and everything was working ok.
I edited the project-properties to HD, according to the hints Trevor gave in this topic:
[URL]
As a work-round----Change the project properties to use 1920 x 1080 and your images will be 1920 x 1080.
Settings-Project Properties (Alt+Enter) Edit File Format ---Microsoft Avi Files Edit Avi Tab Compression to Microsoft Video 1 (there may be others you can use—Div X ??) General Tab Frame Size---User Defined to 1920 x 1080
Ok now the screen shots should all use the larger image size.
I've got a problem with basic image editing in GIMP.The screenshots should give understanding. I have GIMP 2.6 on Windows 7.GIMP wont allow me to move anything around in the darker area of this image("IconOverlay.png" - attached).
I've tried reinstalling GIMP as well as deleting the user preferencesfolder. I've also tried copying the image into a new GIMP window and editing it inthat, but it doesn't work. This has never happened before on any other image I've edited.
this is a question regarding UVW and vertex editing. When you choose unwrap UVW map and the window opens so you can edit the UVW map, you can select vertices of the mesh on the viewport and see which one is which one on the UVW map, but you cant move them. I want to be able to select vertices on the UVW map so i can identify them on the viewport and move them there but i dont know how. Is it even possible? i have tried everything but as soon as i choose to edit mesh vertices the uvw map window closes and if i try to move a vertex of the mesh while the uvw window is open i just cant.

When I section a view and edit the hatches, the 'Edit Hatch Pattern' window always opens off-screen. Â I have changed the settings in the GPU control panel to have everything open on the last window, but this window will not abide. Â I move the window to the Inventor window (monitor 2), but it will re-open back to monitor 1 in the exact same position every time.
The 'Edit Hatch Pattern' window seems to be the only window that does this in Inventor. Â Attached is a screen cap of the issue. Â The window opens in the same place each time.

I am playing with a design in simulation where the balance is effected by gravity. I have a part at a set angle to start off so a constraint is place and set to this angle, then in simulation I suppress the angle prior to starting the simulation to see what happens. Then I unsuppress the angle then edit it to adjust the simulation to a new angle I then resupress the angle to free it up and run the simulation again.
This can go on a few times until the angle is found in the simulation. The problem I have is it takes ages to do this. Basically it seems in simulation the tree is always collapsed and I want it expanded, how ever after each change the tree collapses?
Is there a way to have the tree always expanded so I can quickly find and adjust my constraint? Or even better is there a way to pull the constraint into the main edit window for direct editing?
It would be good if a small bow / window could be opened with the ability to add a setting/constraignt that needs constant updating.
able to edit an image were as I was able to seperate the background of the image from the text itself ontop.
I was able to see the black and white background that indicated that there is nothing else behind the image and could drop another background under there..
I dropped another image into photoshop, this image is a picture of a phone with white surrounding it, i am using the magic wand to select the surrounding areas to delete it but can't do it ..
I have CS and I am trying to edit my raw files but thats not working. I cant get them to show up in the broswer, nor can I click and drag into CS. I have been looking around the site and I am gathering info and what I have gotten out of my research is that I need the CameraRaw Plugin which is only compatable with CS2, right?
Is the only way I can edit the exact file is through the software that came with my camera (Canon Rebel XT). I was taking the picture and saving it as a .tif but that defeats the purpose of RAW,
I would really like to be able to use the raw file b/c what I have seen done with raw files is amazing. When I edit with the software I have (ZoomBrowser EX/RAW Image task) I feel like I am getting the short end of the stick, everything I do I feel like I could do that with a jpeg...
When I open a picture in photoshop, the window is not big enough to show it all. When I drag it to my retina monitor on my laptop, it scales down. Why can't adobe figure this stuff out? It used to be that your image would open as large as possible on your monitor, and would show the entire image.
If it was larger than your monitor could display, it would scale it to 66.7% or 25% etc so it would fit. I liked that better than this way - now you just see the top corner of your image and have to drag the window larger to see it.
I just upgraded to CS from 7.0 and in CS whenever I am editing an image the image appears sigificantly brighter than in any other program or when viewed on the net. ImageReady shows the images properly but CS has every image brightened while I am working with it.
I have updated my windows version of PE 9 to 9.03. However, when I want to move a selection from one pic to another, I need to open both, then go to Window-images-float all in window, and check that option. However, even after updating, the first 5 options in window-images are greyed out. How can I get them active?
I've just finished scanning thousands of photos, and I've placed them in about a dozen different folders. Now I'm looking to edit them one at a time. So I call up the Organizer and open up the Editor area to work on the first photo.
Is there some kind of "Next" command ... some quick way to move on to the second photo in the same folder, after I've finished editing the first?
I'm having trouble with editing RAW images from my Nikon D3000. I've downloaded the DNG Converter from Adobe and converted all my files to DNG. However, when I opened them on Photoshop Elements 4.0, they turned out VERY grainy! (Even though all the shots are clear when viewed on my camera) Â Also, I could not save my files as JPG (After converting them to DNG). The only options were TIFF, PNG, JPF (?).
I have loaded about 10 pictures in the editor of elements 10. I want to save them to an sd card. When I try to do that it tries to save all of my pictures instead.Â
For the past one year I have been regularly editing my photographs in Photoshop (CS5 and CS3) and uploading them on my blog and my fb page.  However since the past 45 days I edited 5 albums in Photoshop but have not been able to upload a single photo on fb or on any other page. I moved browsers trying chrome, fire fox and even IE but nothing worked. I then formatted my laptop and reinstalled CS5 only to know that too was not useful.  I tried editing some photos in basic picassa and that worked well and was able to upload photos on fb and my blog. I then tried uploading some old photos (edited in Photoshop) and they are getting uploaded.
photoshop CS2 stoped displaying the red channel correctly on all images. The red channel displays very muted color.
After deleting all preferences of CS2, cleaning out the Windows registry, and upgrading to CS3 the problem still remains.
In CS3 however, the color shift goes away if I drag the image outside of Photoshop's main window.
I have a screenshot of this, http://www.miats.com/tmp/PhotoshopIssue.jpg
Photoshop states that both of the large images are solid R:255 G:0 B:0. However, after print screening the images and pasting them back into Photoshop, it shows that the one on the left is actually R:201 G:88 B:34.
The same thing happens for green and blue as well, though the difference is much less dramatic.
I don't remember changing any settings and my laptop (Win XP, CS2) does not have this problem when loading the same images.
My computer is running VISTA 32bit with 3GB of ram. The graphics card is a NVIDIA 6800.
how do i open or drag multiple images onto the same window or blank background in elements 11? was easy in 2.0 as all images were available on same page. where is this option in 11?
I have 30 dirs, each of them with 4 thumbs in it. I want to make one big thumb of every 4 smaller ones, by resizing and fitting them together into square. Like
Thumb1 right next to Thumb2 below Thumb3 right next to Thumb4
and then save that image.
Would you give me any direction how to do that? I'm with CS3. I did explore the auto and script options in the File menu, but still unable to get idea how to do that, if possible at all
I'm about to start a project where I create a family calendar for 2013. If I get it done in time, it will be what I give out for Christmas presents this year.
I have about 300 images that I want to fill in a grid 4 across and 4 high so that I can get 16 images per month. That won't use all 300 images, but I'll be able to pick the best of the bunch.
Anyway, the image sizes range from 258x235 (WxH) to whopping 5616x3744 (WxH).
If I make each of grid sizes very, very large so that I can fit the largest image, I suspect I'll have problems with RAM and the project will be very slow.
If I make each of the grid sizes very, very small, then every time I try dropping a larger image onto the project, it's going to try stretching the canvas to fit the image or I'll have to struggle with squishing the images smaller.
I have image resizing tools, but they typically do not generate the kind of quality I like from Paint.Net.
Is there a technique so that dropping a file that is too large into a region will shrink the image to fit the canvas ...or magnify an image that is too small?
If I import my raw images into my Lightroom 5 library and edit some of them in CS6 within Lightroom 5 by using the tab. How can I save them from CS6 back into my Lightroom 5 Library after making further adjustments?
LR 5.2 was working beautifully, but after shooting a couple videos (.MOV) in addition to normal images (.JPG & .CR2) my LR 5.2 started playing up when I wanted to import the content of my SD card onto my PC.  LR 5.2 (on Win7, 64-bit) stopped displaying ANY images or movies in the import window. It doesn't matter whether the images (+/- movies) are on the SD card (from which I usually directly import), or any folder on my PC that contains images. LR 5.2 however has no problem displaying the images on my PC in the library window (as they have been imported into the catalog before the problem occurred).  I'm now stuck with hundreds of photos on my SD card that I can't seem to be able to import...
I had a problem exporting editing images to DNG. Lightroom will only export the original unedited versions to DNG. If I export to JPG I get the edited versions, but it will not export the edited versions to DNG.
