Photoshop :: Adjusting A Series Of Photos

Aug 15, 2005

I've got a series of photos (my wedding photos actually) that need color, contrast and brightness adjusting. The problem is that the photos were taken under a tree so the lightning was partly shady, partly bright and with different photos being shot at slightly different locations and positions I get hughly varying results when adjusting the photos individually.

way to adjust a series of photos so that the contrast, brightness, etc settings will turn out the same across a whole series of photos?

GIMP :: How To Standardize Series Of Photos

Jan 22, 2013

I am trying to standardize a series of photos, so that the distance between the eyes for each picture is 100 pixels. I can see the distance in pixels using the measuring tool, but when I try and scale the picture, the measuring tool disappears and I have to eyeball the distance. Is there a way to create a line or something between the eyes that I can then set the distance as 100 pixels to resize it? Or a way to see the distance in pixels while I scale the photo so I don't have to guess?

Paint.NET :: Lining Up Eyes To Same Frame Position In Series Of Photos?

Nov 30, 2013

During 2014 I would like to create 'photo a day' video of myself, similar to this [URL] ........ I have no plans to inflict my work on the world via YouTube and the like, it is purely for my own amusement.

My question is a compositional/editing one. I understand how to take the stills and create a video from them using Windows Movie Maker, not the best software but sufficient for my purposes.

In the link above the young ladies eyes and nose stay at a (mostly) fixed point in the frame, I find this makes for a better video when all the stills are run together. The problem I have, is, when I take stills of myself my nose and eyes are at different positions frame to frame which makes for a rather jumpy end result.

Any tips on how to remedy this, is it done when taking the shot, or in editing afterwards?  The shots are taken on a small point and shoot digital camera, as the shots will be taken at various locations etc I wont be able to have a static setup with a tripod and mark on the floor to ensure the same position each time. The method I have tried it just holding the camera out in front of me at arms length and trying to get the same height each time.

Is there a way to easily and quickly edit shots in Paint.NET so that the eyes and nose are at the same position in each frame for a series of photos, I'm not too bothered about  all the frames being the same size or the edges lining up etc.

Paint.NET :: Color Matching / Adjusting Between Photos?

Nov 14, 2011

I am trying to adjust the color levels between two photos such that a certain object in both photos has the same color in both images. I'll try and explain more with an example...

I've got two images taken under similar lighting conditions with the same camera and settings that came out with slightly different colors. There is a reference object in each photo that should match (in this case, a grey square of a paint sample). I'd like to adjust the color of the square in photo 2 so that it matches the square in photo 1, with the adjustments applied to the entirety of photo 2.

VideoStudio :: Adjusting Photos For Video Use (pixel Aspect Ratio)

Mar 1, 2012

I have VS X2 and I want to put some photos into a video I'm making.

I have video from a Panasonic PV-GS200 which gives a 24 bit, 720x480 AVI file. I have the Project Properties set to:

NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
Microsoft AVI files
24 bits, 720 x 480, 4:3, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
DV Video Encoder -- type 1

And the Preferences for Image set to "Keep aspect ratio".

I have a small handbook from Ulead (from 2004 when I purchased video gear) which says that the pixel aspect ratio of DV is rectangular whereas the pixels in my photos are square. And this difference will cause photographs to become distorted as those square photo pixels are stretched to become rectangular pixels in the video.

My question is: do I need to crop my photograph correctly before I insert it into the timeline in VS X2, or is there an option/feature within VS which will handle this transformation for me?

Here is how the book says to crop photos:
for 720x480 NTSC-DV crop photos to 720x576
for 720x576 PAL-DV crop photos to 704x576

It further recommended using PNG file type for photos and to keep the image dimension (resolution) low, e.g. 720x576, in order to avoid artifacts in the video - only doubling the above crop dimensions if a pan & zoom filter are going to be employed. An image dimension of 720x576 seems really low to me but I am not used to working with video.

Photoshop :: CS6 With Matrox M-series Graphic Cards

Dec 21, 2012

I will test Photoshop CS 6 in my Windows x64 System. First I´ve got a Matrox P690 graphic card, but it won´t run with OpenGL 2.0. So I bought a new MATROX M9120 Plus x1 card in hope it will work fine with Photoshop. But the GPU OpenGL with rotation tool or other things won´t work, because the card seems to be not verified by Photoshop CS6. The drivers are the newest WDDM certified Matrox drivers from December 2012.

Some infos from my system:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
16GB RAM
2x Intel Quadcore XEON CPU
Matrox M9120 Plus PCIe x1

Photoshop :: AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series Graphics Card?

Apr 26, 2013

I'm having a lot of glitchy problems with Photoshop CS6.  I believe it's because of the graphics card.  The image keeps disappearing and reappearing as I make adjustments, the Waccom table controls (for sizing brushes) suddenly stops working.  When I touch the Waccom pen to tablet the cursor turns into a spinning tarus.  I reboot, and it's OK for a little while, then starts acting up again.  I've changed the Graphics Processor Settings from Advanced, to Normal, to Basic.  Same problem no matter what.

I'm running on Windows 8.  Intel i5 processors.  The program is loaded on an SSD drive.  The scratch disk is 3 TB so it shouldn't be a memory/space issue.  The card driver is up to date.

Photoshop :: Convert Series Of Adjustment Layers Into Single Action?

Nov 16, 2012

I have a Photoshop CS6 document with 20-some adjustment layers and would like to be able to apply their effect to multiple image files. I'm looking for a way to convert the series of adjustment layers into a single action so that I can batch process a set of images. Can this be done?

Unless I'm missing something, it appears that no trivial solution exisits. For example, there's no option that allows for selecting the adjustment layers, right clicking them, and choosing 'convert to action.' What I want to avoid is having to redo each adjustment layer just for the sake of recording an action.

Also, I understand that I can always "place" (i.e. drag and drop) the image requiring processing into the Photoshop document containing the adjustment layers, saving a merged copy as jpeg, and repeat... but such a manual method would border on insulting to this prowess of a program.

Any method of recording an action that can make use of the document with the adjustment layers and a variable document that will be passed through during the batch process.

Photoshop :: Adjusting Colors In CS2

Mar 10, 2013

I'm not a neither a novice nor a pro when it comes to Photoshop. (Just somewhere in-between) . . . So don't understand why  I''m suddenly having problems with colors in my photos looking accurate  on my camera, but almost  completely red and yellow in Photoshop. Initially though the camera was at fault, until I switched cameras  and still had the same problem, so figured it must be  Photoshop.

Since  Photoshop CS2 has all the features I need,  I've never bothered to upgrade. . . which turned out to be a problem when I tried to follow the instructions for creating  new adjustment layers. (Was OK until I reached the last step, when  my menus were different than  those in the guide.) Have spent  most of the last 2 days trying to manipulate all the options  under the Image Adjustment menu, but am running our of patience and luck.

Photoshop :: Adjusting Tsume?

Jul 10, 2004

"Adjusting tsume

Tsume reduces the space around a character by a specified percentage value. As a result, the character itself is not stretched or squeezed. Instead, the space between the character's bounding box and the em box is compressed. When tsume is added to a character, spacing around both sides of the character is reduced by an equal percentage.

To reduce spacing between characters:

Select the characters you want to adjust.

In the Character palette, enter or select a percentage for Tsume . The greater the percentage, the tighter the compression between characters. At 100% (the maximum value), there is no space between the character's bounding box and its em box."

And this is what the icon looks like.

I have selected the text. But in the Character Palette, I just dont see it or cant find it.

I make adjustments on the ones I want to use, rate them and use the "select rated" button. If one of those images has a different color balance than the others, it will auto adjust it to match the rest. If the image that is viewable is the one with the different color balance, it will auto adjust the rest of them.
