View 1 RepliesI've got a series of photos (my wedding photos actually) that need color, contrast and brightness adjusting. The problem is that the photos were taken under a tree so the lightning was partly shady, partly bright and with different photos being shot at slightly different locations and positions I get hughly varying results when adjusting the photos individually.
way to adjust a series of photos so that the contrast, brightness, etc settings will turn out the same across a whole series of photos?
I'm unable to drag a group of photos or even single photos to a publish folder. In this case it's SmugMug. What is the correct method?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to adjust the color levels between two photos such that a certain object in both photos has the same color in both images. I'll try and explain more with an example...
I've got two images taken under similar lighting conditions with the same camera and settings that came out with slightly different colors. There is a reference object in each photo that should match (in this case, a grey square of a paint sample). I'd like to adjust the color of the square in photo 2 so that it matches the square in photo 1, with the adjustments applied to the entirety of photo 2.
I have VS X2 and I want to put some photos into a video I'm making.
I have video from a Panasonic PV-GS200 which gives a 24 bit, 720x480 AVI file. I have the Project Properties set to:
NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
Microsoft AVI files
24 bits, 720 x 480, 4:3, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
DV Video Encoder -- type 1
And the Preferences for Image set to "Keep aspect ratio".
I have a small handbook from Ulead (from 2004 when I purchased video gear) which says that the pixel aspect ratio of DV is rectangular whereas the pixels in my photos are square. And this difference will cause photographs to become distorted as those square photo pixels are stretched to become rectangular pixels in the video.
My question is: do I need to crop my photograph correctly before I insert it into the timeline in VS X2, or is there an option/feature within VS which will handle this transformation for me?
Here is how the book says to crop photos:
for 720x480 NTSC-DV crop photos to 720x576
for 720x576 PAL-DV crop photos to 704x576
It further recommended using PNG file type for photos and to keep the image dimension (resolution) low, e.g. 720x576, in order to avoid artifacts in the video - only doubling the above crop dimensions if a pan & zoom filter are going to be employed. An image dimension of 720x576 seems really low to me but I am not used to working with video.
One of my gigs is as a school photographer. When looking at all the photos as a group there are slight variations in the levels and tones. My way of dealing with this is to go through them in LR one by one and make adjustments to make them all look like they have the same tone and levels. I typically do this with the the highlights, shadows and sometimes the exposure sliders.
Is there a way that I can define what I want an image to look like in terms of it's "brightness" and then automate a process that will make all the photos in a group look the same?
I can use either Lightroom or Photosho CS to accomplish this. I have a Creative Cloud subscription if there's any other tool or application.
Is there a way to take an entire group of photos that are different sizes and do something that will change all of them to the same size (or as close as possible to the same size) without cropping out parts while maintaining the aspect ratio of the original first layer?
three photos:
1st is 936 X 1101
2nd is 3279 X 3858
3rd is 582 X 1141
layers are 4000 X 2200
I've taken a large quantity of digital photos during the rare snow we had this year. Am new at digital and unfortunately I took at too great of a resolution for what I want to do with them.
I am making GIF backgrounds for PPT, and some grouping will have as many as sixty pics in them. But the file sizes are HUGE (my goof) and GIF animators can't handle them.
Is there any way to compress batches of photos all at once? (Can't find that on the Batch command unfortunately) Resizing them one by one is laborious, even using hotkeys. Time is an issue.
Thanks
How can I merge 2 group photos in Photoshop Elements 12?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to add a watermark to a group of photos. I have Photoshop Elements 10. I have read the tutorial and it instructs me to open "file" and select "multiple", however, that is not an option when I open "file". Where am I going wrong? How do I accomplish this task? In addition, is there a way when I create a watermark to save it so I can use it as needed to future photos?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have six photos which are aligned and distributed equally and linked so they move as one. I want to center this group on the page but as soon as the background layer is selected, each photo piles onto each other with a mind of its own. Tried everything I know (which isn't really very much). It will work if I merge the group, but I don't want to do that.. I am using Elements 12 with Windows 8.1.

I have table, several chairs and some glasses and plates on table. I want to group them and instance that group, hundred of times. Problem is that I do not have materials implemented and I will not until client is satisfied with arrangement. I have problems later, even using many scripts I found, to add material to all instances. Only way is to select one by one.
Other thing is that there might be new objects added into set, so best way would be to add to master group and that will be added in instances of that group automatically, but that does not work with Maya.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm not a neither a novice nor a pro when it comes to Photoshop. (Just somewhere in-between) . . . So don't understand why I''m suddenly having problems with colors in my photos looking accurate on my camera, but almost completely red and yellow in Photoshop. Initially though the camera was at fault, until I switched cameras and still had the same problem, so figured it must be Photoshop.
Since Photoshop CS2 has all the features I need, I've never bothered to upgrade. . . which turned out to be a problem when I tried to follow the instructions for creating new adjustment layers. (Was OK until I reached the last step, when my menus were different than those in the guide.) Have spent most of the last 2 days trying to manipulate all the options under the Image Adjustment menu, but am running our of patience and luck.
"Adjusting tsume
Tsume reduces the space around a character by a specified percentage value. As a result, the character itself is not stretched or squeezed. Instead, the space between the character's bounding box and the em box is compressed. When tsume is added to a character, spacing around both sides of the character is reduced by an equal percentage.
To reduce spacing between characters:
Select the characters you want to adjust.
In the Character palette, enter or select a percentage for Tsume . The greater the percentage, the tighter the compression between characters. At 100% (the maximum value), there is no space between the character's bounding box and its em box."
And this is what the icon looks like.
I have selected the text. But in the Character Palette, I just dont see it or cant find it.
I have a background layer in Photoshop (CS2) that needs to be converted to a spot color. I have tried to select the channels and adjust them that way (yes, the entire image needs to be all the same color, with lighter and darker highlights and shadows), but can't seem to adjust them just be selecting them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI started noticing this problem a while back in CS5 and it seems to be ongoing in CS6. When I have a group of rows open in ACR, I can make adjustments as normal. Lets say that I have a bracket of images I shot of 10 frames.
I make adjustments on the ones I want to use, rate them and use the "select rated" button. If one of those images has a different color balance than the others, it will auto adjust it to match the rest. If the image that is viewable is the one with the different color balance, it will auto adjust the rest of them.
