VideoStudio :: How Many Audio Tracks Can Be Added To Movie Project
Dec 16, 2010I would like to add a music file on one track, sound effects like bells, dramatic drums on another. Is this something that I can do with VSP x3? If so where can I find out how it is done? If not is there a way for me to say put special sound effects in back of the main music clip in different places in the timeline?

Jan 31, 2013When in the develope module I have the film strip at the bottom of the page, I export the current image to CS 6 and then save from there. On returning to LR the last image saved is always at the right hand end of the film strip. You then have to scholl all the way to the left to find your next image to edit. Is there away of stopping this happening..

Jun 16, 2012So i can create a photo strip in Lightroom and i have (just adding 2x2.5" cells and dragging pictures over) but after trying to add an additional picture it changes all the cells to the new picture. After researching it seems that Lightroom wont let you add/print different pictures on the same sheet. So i have two questions:
1. Can you not add mutiple pictures in terms of a photo strip and print out in Lightroom 4?
2. What adobe software (or even apple aperture) can you create a custome photo strip and add text for the event at the bottom and print? Preferrably something that is simple for like when my Canon 7D takes pictures and you can drag and drop into the cells, determine # of prints and print, on the spot. I am starting a photo booth company where person #2 will manually move pics on my Macbook Pro (if need be) to the photo strip template and determine # of prints (not automated).
Lightroom :: 3.6 Can't View Photos On Film Strip In LIBRARY Setting

Jun 28, 2013I have Lightroom 4.4. and Windows 7--both of which have been working fine for several months. Starting a few days ago, however, thumbnails have refused to load for any NEW photos I import. They appear gray/blank in both Grid view and the film strip. However, if you click on any of the film strip thumbnails (while in either Grid view or Develop mode), that thumbnail and corresponding image WILL load--until up to three have done so. Then they begin disappearing again, allowing you to view no more than three images' thumbnails at any one time.
I can't review a shoot via Grid mode this way. I'm also afraid to use Lightroom while it's misbehaving, for fear of corrupting the catalog somehow (though all the images appear to be there). Searching this forum, I found several people who experienced having all of their thumbnails blank out and who were able to correct this by either reinstalling or removing their color profiling software. However, 1) I did this (and it didn't work), and 2) it isn't that all my thumbnails that have disappeared. All the thumbnails and images imported prior to the bug, still initially display correctly.* And I can get three thumbnails of the newer images to appear at a time.
*The asterisk is because after I poked around some more, I realized that if I opened other folders and began post-processing images from older uploads (vs. just viewing them), the thumbnails that initially displayed correctly everywhere also blank out and begin appearing in this up-to-three-at-a-time fashion.

Aug 4, 2012I currently use X4, but have X5 ready to install. I shoot with a Canon M41 in the lower quality selection of HD. The file is AVCHD with about 16 mbps. The best HD is 24 mbps. I use the lower because with the software included with the camera, creating an AVCHD disk is limited to the lower standard and shooting in the higher standard required considerable time to down render the files to create the AVCHD disk. Camera Manual indicates 60i or 30p. Confused on this issue. When I create a movie in X4, I selected Blu-ray 1920P. This seems to introduce some slight artifacts like moving, fine horizontal lines and some strange flick of some objects like flower fields. Converting to an AVCHD disk takes several hours for a 25 minute movie consisting of 3 shorter movies. Also, the artifact effect is increased. I just did a trial of creating the movies in "same file type as first clip". The resulting file is about 15% smaller. Also, rendering an AVCHD disk is quicker and no artifacts. Am I on the right track? The software included with camera created excellent quality videos but was camera specific and very limited in adjustments, etc. Corel could provide more info about the confusing file types.
Also, X4 will crash with "unknown error caused program to stop". I save frequently to return to where I was editing. Doesn't seem to be a consistent answer on this issue. I hope X5 is more stable.

May 7, 2012Working with family project (captured by someone else-not me). Gist is that the raw AVI file doesn't have any sound when I play in media player or VSX2. The avi video format shows up as mpeg4s Decoder DMO and the audio as "Unknown ACM Format". I naively used this to make an mpeg vid file and tried to tweak the audio using LPCM but the resulting file has no audio either. The avi shows the video compression as mpeg4 but when I use my mpeg4 converter it doesn't recognise it so it's obviously an avi file with an mpeg4 video compression used.
Is there any way to recover the audio in these circumstances?

Jan 11, 2011A friend of mine shot some video with his JVC everio on 1/8/11.The native files PLAY fine in VS3 however any attempt to convert to any output video file or just output the audio track (which is what I really want to do) results in random audio "skips" like what happened when an LP had a scratch and a stylus couldn't play it.I have VS SP2 installed along with the audio patch on the Corel site.
I've successfully exported the MOD files to other formats using a freeware program called Video Pad from nchsoftware.com, so I can only assume VS has a problem.
I thought before I downloaded that MOD file converter, that's been discussed here, I would ask.Seems that a PAYware software like VS, shouldn't have this problem.Prior to using MOD files, I used AVI files in VS and exporting to an audio file worked just peachy.

Only after I use handbrake to convert the audio to the AAC codec with it play in the Timeline.The upgrade to the main concept plug-in for AFMLE will allow for this, but the business partners are reluctant to spend the $ .is CS6 compatible with the default of FMLE with h.264 and the .mp3 audio? if so I will upgrade.

Feb 18, 2012After building a new machine with Premiere CS5.5, using NVIDIA Q4000 card, I'm having troubles wioth my audio being out of sync. I am exporting DSLR footage which the same sequence was previously fine on export on my old computer. Now, when I export, the audio is a few frames out of sync. There's something really funny going on. When I play the same video file in Windows media player, it seems to be in sync. When I play it in Quicktime, it's clearly out of sync. Also, when I upload it to Vimeo, it's out of sync as well.

Jan 2, 2013I am using VS Pro X2 - I have 3 small MP4 files in my project timeline (filmed on my mobile phone) and for some reason although they play fine on the clip, the audio doesn't come out on the Project, or on the finished DVD, which is a real pain...I have 94 minutes of good quality DVD and 45 seconds of silence! If there was no audio at all I could understand it, but the MP4 clips all play fine on the "clip"...it''s just that when I play them under the 'Project', there is no audio.
My original DV files (which are all ok) are MPEG Audio Layer 2 files - 48000Hz, 16 Bit Stereo - bitrate 224kbps

Jun 6, 2011VS11+,Firefox,XP Home.I have imported a WAV file from my hard drive ,it is 705bps and 99.7 kb, it plays in Windows Media Player but there is no sound when played in the music track.Initially I raised the vol to 200(it was to play with a file in the other sound track) as I could not hear it.It played once.Then, VS "encountered a prob and had to close" and the file has remained silent ever since.The wav file still plays in WMP.

I have downloaded the 'bonus tools' plugin (for the 'create audio wave node' function) as well as the 'as_audioAnimator' script but I just cant make it work. I can key the poly to the output of the audio file using the 'as_audioAnimator' script, but all that does is move the polygon based on the total output volume. I need to be able to filter the audio file into differnt frequencies (just like a spectrogram) so that for each frame I have multiple outputs which I can key to my objects.

Apr 13, 2011I´ve a problem when import all types of audio file, the application crash...but is curios that if I export the file that crash the application (in Lost and found) to the desktop and try import this audio there aren´t problem..import ok...and if this audio is edited with a image and import with import media tool (audio and video) import ok.
Another question about import / export...when a tried export a quick time in the column of status of background tasks appear the message that my "host" does not seem to exist, and not process the quicktime move.
