View 4 RepliesHow can I strip all data from an Image?
Like Rating, comments, ICC profiles, Guides and Slices, EXIF, RAW, Camera data ... etc.. etc.. I would like to strip all the data from my images that I use as album art for my Media Center..
I just want an Image and nothing else.
I've been given a college assignment where I have to make a 6-8 image comic strip story, where I'm the main character, either hero or villian. Now I have a few ideas bouncing around my head, but thought I'd ask if anyone else has ever had to deal with a similar project, before I went ahead with anything.
Can anyone offer any advice as to design? Any suggestions/ideas as to the content or a storyline? All comments welcome, the teacher gave us the freedom of artistic expression and I plan to use it!
I am trying to make a film strip look like the river thames. i tried warping and this didn't work. i can use photoshop or illustrator.
so imagine a reel of film in the shape of the inner london river thames.
I have been mocking up an image on Photoshop, the final image basically consists of a variation of placed images. Whenever I zoomed in, one small part of the image wouldn't load properly and instead be pixelated. Usually it would go away once I either zoomed in or out a step further. But now it has just remained there and I have a pixelated strip that won't go away.
I'm not too sure why this may have occurred? This is a small screenshot of the strip:
I have a picture which is a panorama of a relief panel (think hieroglyphics). What I am wanting to do is strip out all the background so all I have is the lines of the relief art.
What I have tried is adjusting the brightness/contrast, turning the image into greyscale and selecting colour range but I am not getting the effect I want. I don't want to go too extreme and do line drawings of the panel. Ideally I would like to use the lines of the image as they appear and I'm sure there must be a way of doing this in Photoshop.
How do i create an image in PSE11 to look like a negative strip? I have been able to do this in the past in older PSE but i cannot find the option in this version.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI often produce product images for clients that they then supply to their distributors and I prefer that my camera EXIF data not be included (none of their business). I use various actions to produce a variety of sizes and colourspaces (sRGB and CMYK) from the original PSDs. Unfortunately Photoshop seems to lack the ability to strip the camera EXIF data from a PSD file other than by copying the image to a new document. This is fine for a few images. But when you have 50-100 images it's not very practical.
Here's an action that would work:
Note: Image layers are not supported and the colourspace is lost so you will need to make note of the colourspace of the originals.
Action 1 : Open (flatten) and save the RGB or CMYK PSD files as Scitex Format (SCT).
Action 2: Open .SCT files, assign the now missing colourspace tag, re-save as PSD.
I can then add any metatags that should be embedded in these images.
But does anyone know of a plugin or post-processing utility that will strip selective metadata (ie: camera info only, not the metatags with the company info, copyright etc..) from RGB and CMYK 'Photoshop format' images?

View 6 Replies View Relatedthe situation is this:
* i have a cube with "Noise Rotation controller" assigned.
* On the other hand, i make a strip that comes flying in a straight line (a rectangle whit "path deform modifier" OSM).
* when both meets, the strip moves around the cube following it, and then keep his trajectory in a straight line.
I resolved attach the path to the cube, and works pretty well in the middle section of the trajectory , but at the start the path keep rotating whit the cube, and mess it up.
in others words, i need to attach temporarily, only when the strips fly around teh cube.
This is purely a sitting infront of autocad with nothing better to do question,is it possible to draw a "MOBIUS STRIP" with autocad.it would be cool to do, have fun trying its baffled me, but then again thats not hard .

View 3 Replies View RelatedIt was all about 64bit-32bit versions.
I've installed 32-bit CS6 and now everything works perfect. No white lines after applying/resizng anything.
On the edit screen, the orange strip, which I assume means content, stops at approximately 7:31 on my timeline. All vide I have added stops here on my preview. I cant get past it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to set up a layer filter to strip off the xref name?
I have standard layers in all my drawings. I want to use a filter to setup the type of drawing.. i.e erosion control.
However, from project to project the xref file name changes so filters don't work with the new name...
Anyway, if there is a way to hide the xref filename from the prefix of the layer.. if so, a standard layer filter would grab all the layers with the same name.

I can add my own colors to the strip at the bottom of the screen, but time and time again I need to use grayscale that has to be just gray and its not! For instance if you pick 50% black and then click on CMYK scale it turns out to be C:49% M:45.5% Y:32.5% K:11%...Why is it not 0 0 0 50?
if you send something off to the printers with what you think is small grey text that looks sharp on your RGB screen it may well be fuzzy when you see it in hard copy from an offset press. So it would be great to redefine the standard strip, or at least be able to load a user strip every time the program starts.
Using ver. 4.3 with Win7.
I'm trying to get Lightroom to display only the photos I select in Grid View in the film strip but
When in the develope module I have the film strip at the bottom of the page, I export the current image to CS 6 and then save from there. On returning to LR the last image saved is always at the right hand end of the film strip. You then have to scholl all the way to the left to find your next image to edit. Is there away of stopping this happening..

Idea for sorting through all of my CDR files and striping out the color profiles without opening each one by hand?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i can create a photo strip in Lightroom and i have (just adding 2x2.5" cells and dragging pictures over) but after trying to add an additional picture it changes all the cells to the new picture. After researching it seems that Lightroom wont let you add/print different pictures on the same sheet. So i have two questions:
1. Can you not add mutiple pictures in terms of a photo strip and print out in Lightroom 4?
2. What adobe software (or even apple aperture) can you create a custome photo strip and add text for the event at the bottom and print? Preferrably something that is simple for like when my Canon 7D takes pictures and you can drag and drop into the cells, determine # of prints and print, on the spot. I am starting a photo booth company where person #2 will manually move pics on my Macbook Pro (if need be) to the photo strip template and determine # of prints (not automated).
On LR 3.6 I cannot view my photos on the film strip in the LIBRARY setting. On DEVELOP I can view on photo at a time on the film strip (the rest of the photos are not viewable). This is a new problem which has only occured on the last two imports.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to set the default width of a strip drawn with QuadDraw tool? (Quad Draw tool, ctrl+****f+drag RMB)
The size appears to depend completely on screen space. I'd like to be able to specify a width in units.
I have Lightroom 4.4. and Windows 7--both of which have been working fine for several months. Starting a few days ago, however, thumbnails have refused to load for any NEW photos I import. They appear gray/blank in both Grid view and the film strip. However, if you click on any of the film strip thumbnails (while in either Grid view or Develop mode), that thumbnail and corresponding image WILL load--until up to three have done so. Then they begin disappearing again, allowing you to view no more than three images' thumbnails at any one time.
I can't review a shoot via Grid mode this way. I'm also afraid to use Lightroom while it's misbehaving, for fear of corrupting the catalog somehow (though all the images appear to be there). Searching this forum, I found several people who experienced having all of their thumbnails blank out and who were able to correct this by either reinstalling or removing their color profiling software. However, 1) I did this (and it didn't work), and 2) it isn't that all my thumbnails that have disappeared. All the thumbnails and images imported prior to the bug, still initially display correctly.* And I can get three thumbnails of the newer images to appear at a time.
*The asterisk is because after I poked around some more, I realized that if I opened other folders and began post-processing images from older uploads (vs. just viewing them), the thumbnails that initially displayed correctly everywhere also blank out and begin appearing in this up-to-three-at-a-time fashion.
Is it possible to ask Photoshop to save TIFF images using tile internal storage rather than strip storage? A little-known setting, a registry patch perhaps?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWanted to ask if there is a filter out there or a technique that will just go over your image to make the colors brighter and more colorful.
Say you take a digital pic of a lake. And all I want to do is make the blues bluer, the greens greener, the browns browner etc...
You know how when they remake an old classic movie they show the "old" movie and then like a "slider" goes from left to right and the "new" DVD version has like all these brighter colors and stuff on the new version. Or in the old days of Technicolor they did the same thing.
I want to take some nature shots and just make them brighter like that, prettier colors.
Playing with just like brightness contrast and and levels and other similar tweaks just seems to generic looking I guess.

I started to get this strange error with my Photoshop when making a new document in Photoshop and got the following error: "cannot initiate Photoshop because Photoshop cannot create any more windows".
I thought the easiest thing to do would be to reinstall (Photoshop needs reinstalling extremely often unfortunately), but now when I try and open the program it just give an alert beep and closes back up. Even though I rarely use ImageReady, I opened that up to check and it does the same behavior.
Can anyone tell me what color settings I need to set in photoshop in order to avoid this from happening? It only happens once in a while and I don't know what I've done to fix it or screw it up. What happens is that when I'm in photoshop and I do a "save for web" my document jumps to image ready and when viewing '2 up' for optimization purposes and comparison, I realize that the original view is actually duller in color and does not look like the original in photoshop. The blacks are definitely not as black.
