Lightroom :: 4 - Add Multiple Pictures In Terms Of Photo Strip And Print Out?
Jun 16, 2012
So i can create a photo strip in Lightroom and i have (just adding 2x2.5" cells and dragging pictures over) but after trying to add an additional picture it changes all the cells to the new picture. After researching it seems that Lightroom wont let you add/print different pictures on the same sheet. So i have two questions:
1. Can you not add mutiple pictures in terms of a photo strip and print out in Lightroom 4?
2. What adobe software (or even apple aperture) can you create a custome photo strip and add text for the event at the bottom and print? Preferrably something that is simple for like when my Canon 7D takes pictures and you can drag and drop into the cells, determine # of prints and print, on the spot. I am starting a photo booth company where person #2 will manually move pics on my Macbook Pro (if need be) to the photo strip template and determine # of prints (not automated).
I'm about to buy a new inkjet printer. I currently have an epson R1900 which I have liked, but I have been abusing this printer for years and it just stops working I'm thinking about the epson 3880 or R2000? but I wonder what some of you might recommend.
I'm a graphic and web designer. Would 3880 have more efficient way to print - in terms of ink usage?
How to ADD (almost) white Border around photo(s) to print in print module (not for creating a JPEG) WITHOUT TRIMMING the photo?
I dont understand why I'm so stupid not to be able to acheeve this simple task with Lightroom WITHOUT TRIMMING the image (altering it's proportion and cutting away photo-content)
(on light-gray backgrownd for instance, to use as cutting indications. I know how to use cutting-indications for images i print without a border)
(i do not whant to use workarounds, the kind of preparing "identity plates", a new one each for infinite variations of proportions to use as fullblown-up backgrounds..)
resolution and printing. I know some of these questions are not specifically adobe Photoshop related,I understand the theory of dpi vs ppi and resolution vs print. However, I am not sure how to print compositions with mulitple images such as a photo maniupulation.
So here are my questions:
1) If I make a document set for 300 ppi and all my other layers and photos be 300 ppi? What if my photo is at 600 ppi (which it wouldn't be but for instance.)
2) I want to maintain print quality, but need to resize a photo to fit on the composition. For instance I want to keep my photo at 300 ppi but need to shrink it to fit on the smaller background composition I can resample or not. - Not resampling does not allow me to digitally view the size, but maintains original photo quality. It also adds ppi which makes a huge file size to work on. - Resampling allows me to keep the same dpi but hinders the quality.
If I am combining two images together that need to be high resolution for print and then need to be resized what is the best option? How can I view them digitally? Here is an example:
I have a document set at 300 ppi and the calculated pixels needed for whatever print size document I will use. The 'background' will say be white.I then want to add a photo at 300 ppi but it needs to shrink to fit on the 'background.'How can I shrink that photo and still maintain a quality print AND see it on screen?
how to take a photo or image, create multiple images to print and when cut out, will create a complete image when painted. Similar to how its done in photo shop only, I'd like to zoom in to areas, trace out the areas, then take those selected areas that I traced and move them to a different layer. Is this possible?
I am trying to print a 16" x 20" photo through Lightroom's print module. I am using an Epson 3880 printer and 17" x 22" paper. I have done this in Lightroom 4 with no problems. Now I am getting a print that is 16-3/8" x 20-1/2". I have the cell size set at 16" x 20" and borderless printing is turned off. I also checked zoomed to fill. This has also happened on a couple of 12" x 18" photos.
I have a problem rescaling the pictures when i use the presets in print mode. I figured the CMD key for moving the picture in the frame, but I haven't figured out how to scale the photo inside the frame - not scaling the frame!
How can I set the Title and Caption for multiple pictures at once? If I select a range of say 8 picture that I want to have the same title and caption in the metadata, only one of them getst the title and caption set. The title and caption remain blank for the rest.
I am a window user, using Ligthroom version 2. I want to send multiple pictures via Outlook.I set up all "Export" parameters, BUT when selecting many pictures, then outlooks takes only one.I looked in the net and find that I have to download a Mapimailer.
The lightroom slideshow module appears to only allow one picture or one video per screen. I would like to put everything within one folder (usually 4 pictures) on one screen.
When exporting my edited pictures to a folder in m Pictures it goes as a blank soft color but no photo. It looks like a tiny dot and when you open it, it is a soft color..
Is it possible to have multiple Identify Plates, in one print format that has multiple images, in the print format? Some my clients want printed formats that have multiple images in the print and want titles for each image in the print format.
When in the develope module I have the film strip at the bottom of the page, I export the current image to CS 6 and then save from there. On returning to LR the last image saved is always at the right hand end of the film strip. You then have to scholl all the way to the left to find your next image to edit. Is there away of stopping this happening..
I have a catalog for personal photos, and another for stuff I will print, etc. I just imported all my photos into my print catalog from a trip, and was wondering if some of the photos can be in both catalogs. I have a few pics of my wife and I, and since they are just virtual copies would like them in each one.
I am using Lightroom 4.4 on a Mac, OSX version 10.8.4. This problem started about two weeks ago. I am in the Library or Develop module with a photo selected (photos are NEFs, JPEGS, or TIFFs) When I move to the Print module, the photo switches on the main screen as well as in the filestrip below at the bottom. Reselecting the photo in the filestrip in the print module still does not print the correct image. Even with the correct image selected in the Print module, whatever photo is at the beginning of the strip is the one that prints regardless of what the Print module is showing. I am able to get around this by using filters so that only the image I want to print is available for print, but this is less than optimal.
In Lightroom 4, I need to figure out how large a photo can print and still keep good resolution. I .e., I want to print a photo at 20x30" and I need to know ahead of time that it will look good printed at that size.
On LR 3.6 I cannot view my photos on the film strip in the LIBRARY setting. On DEVELOP I can view on photo at a time on the film strip (the rest of the photos are not viewable). This is a new problem which has only occured on the last two imports.
I have had a couple of catalogs that were accessible under "open recent" under the "file" tab. Suddenly those other than lightroom 3 catalog have disappeared. They arrived after passing 9,999 photos. Is there somewhere elser I should look?
