View 2 RepliesI have a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 and Photoshop CS5.1 and have just hooked up my Epson RX580. On the window platform in another software program the multiple pages and/or poster options appear in the print window. But not in Photoshop on my mac. I have made sure to download the newest drivers etc.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn a nutshell - I am a seamstress attempting to make a pattern. Well, I have made the pattern - drawn it out on a large sheet of paper. I have manually "cut" it into letter-sized parts and scanned those parts onto my computer (with hash marks so that the parts can be matched back up to make the larger whole pattern).
I have spent a lot of time redrawing the lines in paint.net so they are neat and clean and more even. But then I went to print them and sizing is totally messed up and I am just not able to get my brain around this sizing thing. I need to be able to send these files to customers so they can print them out, put them together and have a pattern.
So, in effect, I have a large image that I want to print in puzzle pieces but they must maintain their *real* *life-sized* size. I'm attaching one of the individual files. What I need to do to it to make it be 8.5" x 11".
We are looking for an easy straightforward way to print / export an entire set of sheets to pdf.The sheets have different papersizes and we want them to be named with the sheet number + name, and possible a prefix by choice. We have Adobe Acrobat X installed as pdf printer. So far we managed to print an entire set to pdf with these somewhat annoying issues:
1. The naming adds the word "sheet" between the chosen prefix and number-name.can we get rid of this?
2. The prints seem only to follow the actual Revit Print-setup, on papersizes.Which means that we need to have print-sessions on every paper size used in a project.Strange that in Revit the paper print-setup, doesnt follow the sheet definitions.(?)Is there a way within Revit to solve this to a more automated workflow?Or do we have to implement third party plugiins / solutions?
Sometimes when I print multiple sheets to a Combined PDF file Revit goes through the process and combines all of the sheets in one PDF file but then it continues to re- print the PDF file as many times as the number of sheets.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have 1 large photo (33cm x 200cm) i like to print on A3+ paper. Not cropped or reseized, but on about 4 papers i can glue toether after printing and so get 1 large file.
So in all i'm looking for a way to print from PS cs5 so that , part by part, the image is split on the 4 sheets i like to use.
I can of course manually 'cut' the photo into 4 pieces myself, but i really hoped PS CS5 could do this job automaic for me.
Is their a way i simply did not find yet?
I am working with a photographer who uses lightroom. I am not familiar with lightroom but I use CS6 InDesign and Photoshop for these types of projects (brochures, postcards, fliers) The problem is I'm used to photographers sending me highres jpegs at 300dpi around 2.5 - 4MB that retain great quality, but this particular photographer is sending me files out of Lightroom that are average of 6-11mb. Taking about 6 hours to download. He is exporting the files as jpegs at 300dpi, 8x12. He swears that the photo will lose quality if he makes it smaller o nfile size. make the file sizes smaller in mb while still retaining quality? He also uses photoshop extended.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen it's time to print and save contact / index sheets, Lightroom enters another dimension.
Workflow as normal up to this point: Import (with 1:1 previews) a folder of NEF+JPGs, maybe a hundred or two. Edit, rename and export. Enter the Print module and setup (for the thousandth time) a contact sheet showing maybe 30-50 pics per page.
Select "Draft Mode Printing" and hit PRINT and sit. The "preparing print job" progress bar appears and starts to tick off images, at about 10 seconds apiece. In LR2 this *entire process* took 1-2 seconds. So, an hour and a half later, my contact sheets are ready. I could hand-draw them faster.
It does it in LR3, LR3.2 and LR 3.3. It *never* did it in LR1-2.7.

I am trying to print contact sheets in Bridge using keywords and/or star ratings from Lightroom. I'm doing that because rendering is incredibly slow if I try to do the same thing in LR even when I choose 240 ppi in the menu.
In Lightroom, I have selected "automatically write changes into XMP. For the folder and subfolders I'm working with, I have selected all of the images and hit command S to write all of the images into metadata. I've done this with the whole folder and with all of the subfolders as well. None of the star ratings show up in Bridge.
When I open Bridge, some of the folders show the keywords while others that I have processed the exact same way do not. All of the images are NEFs shot with at Nikon D800.
I've also tried opening and closing Bridge as well as purging the cache.
I'm on a Macbook Pro early 2011 running OS 10.8.6.
We are running Civil 3d which we jumed from Land Desktop 2004 (I know, wow). I cant figure out why I cant bulk plot my tabbedd sheets like I could in previous versions. I can PUBLISH in bulk, but not PLOT.
Am I missing something here?
Is there any work around that will force AutoCad to spool when trying to print a large .tiff image? I am trying to print an image whose file size is 150mb to a plotter.
It doesn't spool at all, it instantly prints (leaving out the image). The image is on a layer set to print etc.
I have one drawing per file at model tab. When I need to plot a multiple page file, I use:
Print > Batch Plot.
The problem is that I have to set plot configurations ( plot style table, plot area, paper size, etc) in each file before use Batch Plot.
Now I received 722 files with a wrong Plot Style Table. For this time I change the associated *.ctb file at Plot Style folder, but I will need to associate the right *.ctb to each drawing. It's also common to have to change other properties.
I am working on a project that is a large print of about 30 inches wide and 20 inches in height.
(I just wrote a big post but for some reason when I tried posting it the forum logged me off and it didnt post so I wont get too detailed here.)
Basically I need to print the image for example using 9 piece of normal paper and stick it together with transperant tape to make a large image.
Is there a way to do this without the need to cut the borders on each page, I really would like to print borderless pages and not cut them.
I imported images from my 1D M4 and made themDNG rather than RAW. All the images, JPOG and DNG have a heading in image info at top of the image in Library or Develop as 4.0MP indicating that the information is very small. Canon tells me this camera should show MP as 16-18MP and large prints available. The smmaller bird will not crop to make an image over 4x4 and I pring 8x10. Canon believes it is a LR4 preference issue but I can't locate it in importing. I did note a export image smaller and changed it but regardless, I checked the importing file size and tey are all significant so it is a Adobe LR4 issue and preference somewhere. NAPP says it is not LR4 so I am caught?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm new to Lightroom and was attempting to prepare a file to send to a print lab. I want to produce a large format single image with dimensions of 52" x 36". I've prepared this in the 'print' module but when I press 'print to file...' it warns me that the file is 760mb and I may run out of memory! Is this file to large to sent to a printer, how can I reduce the size of the file without reducing the quality of the print? or is this just a standard file size for a large format printed image?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf I want to print on large paper sizes, e.g. A3 or A2, what is common wisdom:
- Set the paper size in LR and let LR blow the photo up;
- Edit a copy in PS and use the PS Size command to blow it up.
I mean if the magnifier routine in LR is the same as in PS one would expect the same result, right?
In Lightroom 4, I need to figure out how large a photo can print and still keep good resolution. I .e., I want to print a photo at 20x30" and I need to know ahead of time that it will look good printed at that size.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have this object (shape path) that is like a continous loop or ribbon. see below:
I would like to break it into two seperate shapes: a top half, and bottom half. I need to remove some between them though.
Unfortunately, I cannot make the scissor tool, knife tool or cut path tool work correctly. It just doesn't seem to work, no matter whether I have anchor points selected or not.
I have also tried duplicating the object and trying to delete anchor points until I'm left with one of the shapes. However, because of the ordering of anchor points, I end up with a blue line connecting one end of the object to the other.
I've got a large file that is about 72x54. I want to cut it up into pieces that are about 24x18 and print it pieces that I will tile together as a whole image after I print them. Is there a way to save out my file as 24x18 pieces?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am not sure whether this involves annotative block.
My RCP at 1/8" scale looks okay. Yet in my 1"=10'0" POT plan,
I would like these exit lights/signages to appear double in size when printed,
(since POT is merely a schematic)
From 1/8" scale to 10' scale (96 to 120), the symbols by logic should appear
80% smaller, not larger.
Can this be done with annotative block?
I have a large map style drawing I'd like to slice into smaller files. I dont want overlap, but a clean line in common. See attached image for details for a 4-quadrant map.

In Print Settings in Printer Setup in the print module of CS6 stats "Super A3 / B 13 X 19 but the printed image dimensions are a little over half of that. The printer used to print normally in CS6 print file.
From all our parts of an assembly we made 1 IDW with multiple sheets. Now we want to convert this IDW to PDF's and in such a way that we have one PDF for each sheet, and each PDF files needs the same name as the sheet.

I can not print imported images (JPG or TIFF) large size 80 - 260 Mb.
Print all but the raster! I tried to print on a plotter in JPG, TIFF, in whole or in parts, useless.
If I export the whole project in JPG 2000x3000 pix, all right, but I have 9000x10000 pixels - that size is not exported.
I am using Lightroom 4.4 and an Epson 3880 with printer driver ver. 6.6. I want to print a 16 x 20 image on 17 x 22 paper. I select a paper size of 17 x 22, and in the Lightroom print module, I set the margins to zero, and the cell size to height=16 and width=20. I turn on the ruler guide, and it shows that I will get a 16x20 image on the paper. However, when I print it, the image is about 3/8" larger than that in both dimensions.
View 5 Replies View Relatedhow to take a photo or image, create multiple images to print and when cut out, will create a complete image when painted. Similar to how its done in photo shop only, I'd like to zoom in to areas, trace out the areas, then take those selected areas that I traced and move them to a different layer. Is this possible?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe usually print our sheets to PDF from REVIT. However, whenever a sheet has a 3D view with shade and shadow the PDF file has what appears to be a bunch of rasterized tiled boxes. Of which the borders of these boxes show up through the 3D image.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWas printing 4x6" from LR 5.3 fine. To an Epson 3880. Then went to Page Settings (MAC) changed paper size to 8.5x11". The preview responded with a larger page. I scaled the image up to 8x10 via lightroom cell size. But when I printed to the Letter size paper, LR printed only a close to 4x6" top left corner. This was not a full image like the 4x6. It was just a corner.
Exported to PS and printed fine. Can not figure why the print will not print the full image?
