Jun 16, 2012So i can create a photo strip in Lightroom and i have (just adding 2x2.5" cells and dragging pictures over) but after trying to add an additional picture it changes all the cells to the new picture. After researching it seems that Lightroom wont let you add/print different pictures on the same sheet. So i have two questions:
1. Can you not add mutiple pictures in terms of a photo strip and print out in Lightroom 4?
2. What adobe software (or even apple aperture) can you create a custome photo strip and add text for the event at the bottom and print? Preferrably something that is simple for like when my Canon 7D takes pictures and you can drag and drop into the cells, determine # of prints and print, on the spot. I am starting a photo booth company where person #2 will manually move pics on my Macbook Pro (if need be) to the photo strip template and determine # of prints (not automated).

Jan 11, 2014I am trying to add custom profiles to the Print Module. I have never used outside labs before and want to do this now, , but when I enter custom, the pop up windows only gives me my installed printer profiles with no ability to add. I am using a MAC and the printer that I want to use this time is a Noritsu 311. I have the profiles, but can't seem to get them in to Lightroom.

Nov 12, 2011I am photographing and cataloging the paintings and drawings of an artist. There are over 3,000 of them. LR is such a good database that I am hoping I can use just that and add the details into the IPTC data - Title, Medium, Date created, Size, Price, whether sold and to whom, and - crucially - which shelf in the artist's store building they are located.
My idea was to use SlideShow Pro to publish the catalog to the web for dealers to browse, and my experiments show this would work very well, with IPTC data available on mouse-over.
I also need to produce a catalog with images and info for the artist's assistant so that she could quickly locate a requested painting on the correct shelf. Again this seems feasible up to a point as it is possible to print out the photos with IPTC information.
BUT - and here is my problem: I do not want all the info that the artist's assistant needs in the catalog to be available on the public slideshow, so have put different bits of info into different IPTC sections. But then I come across the limitation of printing in LR - only one section of IPTC info is allowed.
As it is I am at the moment also entering the info into a database (File maker Pro). I find on a good day with the wind behind me I can crop and adjust and catalog about 30 paintings an hour in LR. Also adding the info to File maker nearly doubles that. And more importantly it will be clunky and prone to error to have to alter or add to two separate databases in the future.
Lightroom :: 3 - Adding Unwanted Margins To All Photos In Print Module
May 17, 2012I printed a few photos with the print function in lightroom 3 (print button). A few hours later, i reopened LR to print some more photos, and now the print button has been replaced with print to file. Print one button is all greyed out aswell.
Also, LR is adding unwanted margins to all photos in the print module, and when i try to 0 out the margin, LR tells me it needs a minimum margin...
All printer settings is as it was before.
What has happened?
I have been around all preferences and so on, but nothing changes.

May 23, 2013Adobe Colour Management Print defaults seems to be assigning RGB meta to B&W pages and incurring Colour Print charges for B&W prints.I can manually change the print colour management to Printer managed on a per print basis instead of the default adobe colour managed which "cures" the issue but I do not seem to be able to save that setting as the default.

Feb 1, 2013I work on Mac and would like to print a design over multiple pages. The recurring problem however is that the printed sheets have a thin unprinted, blank border. I've tried various options in the print dialogue box, including all the borderless page setup options. This 2mm border keeps appearing in my prints. This is for silkscreening, so even though its only a 2mm border, this gap prevents me from putting all the printed sheets together as one design. The design, via the print dialogue box, is being saved as a PostScript file due to doing colour separations.

Jan 28, 2014I have a DesignJet T1100ps and a DesignJet Z5400. I have a PDF from a client that has 2 pages that are ARCH D size and 3 pages that are 11x17. All pages in the PDF came from AutoCAD 2013 paper spaces. The plotters are in offices 50 miles apart.
When I print to the T1100 and state pick page size by PDF page size and choose the option actual size the plot print correctly. The plotter will nest the pages and print to scale. I get 2 Arch D pages and 3 11x17 pages.
When I print to the Z5400 the pages get changed to ANSI D pages and get cut off because there are 2 inches of paper missing. If I shrink the plot I can print them so they are not to scale but fit inside the ANSI D size page. This doesn't work when we need scale drawings. The Z5400 and the previous DesignJet 800 both have this issue.
Due to the distance of the printers I can not plot at one office for use at the other. I would like to try and solve the issue via software if possible. So far my only work around is to pick ARCH D in the plotter driver and print all pages to ARCH D by shutting off the option to print pages by PDF page size. This wastes a lot of paper because we print actual size. I can also print one page at a time.
We asked for the drawing and were able to get an original copy but it is GSA and they typically do not provide the originals. If I print form the drawing directly to the plotter from AutoCAD everything comes out the right size. AutoCAD also generates the PDF file correctly according to the page properties.
What might cause Adobe to change our CAD prints in a PDF from the ARCH D size to ANSI D size for this Z5400 plotter?

Jun 1, 2008I have many many pictures (more than 1000) ...and i like to put a signature on the right-buttom cornar of each pic...I tried to use batch processing to do that but the problem is there is no way in adobe photoshop to align the signature in the left-buttom corner of the picture...
I tried to use positioning, and another problem float to surface..the different resolutions of the pix cause signature to be set in defferent positions other than the corner...
Finally I tried to flip the picture upside-down as well as flip it horizantally..so the right-bottom corner will be the upper-left ..with flipping the signature as will, I positioned the signature in the 0,0 point of the picture...but still adobe photoshop print the signature in different positions other than the desired position..
in addtion to different resolutions of the pix..one cause of that is adobe photoshop just measure the distances from starting point to end point (= (0,0)) and the first pix , and move the signature in all pix with same distance..even if one pic has different dimentions
I want to use photoshop becuase I can do a lot of effects in the signature, not just a plain text on the pic

Apr 21, 2013I am on a project of making 12,500 tickets and so far, I'm at 500 out of 12,500 .. I was just wondering if Photoshop or other Adobe programs can Add Sequential Numbers on a particular area ON a picture,
Example: (this is what i 'm doing, i'm doing it manually, saving it one by one.. and it is taking some time, it's been 2 days already)

and repeat the process again ..
there.. i've tried using recording Action. How to use script, (if i have to use script, can you instruct me on a step-by-step procedure or atleast pinpoint me to a thread that explains it, because the ticket's deadline is on May 4th, and again i have 12,500 tickets to make)
also the way that i print this is first as you can see saving it one by one as .jpeg and selecting 9 of the .jpeg files, right click, then print as wallet size, for it to fit in a 8.5 / 11 paper.. there..
