View 1 RepliesI scanned a family photo and the result is about 25% of a letter size sheet.
I wish to attach this to a 'My Family' post, but the result I desire is just he photo without the white space around the photo.

I cropped an image using the Cutting Tool, now rather than recreate the image with more height, I'd like to see if I can add some more white background space to the bottom of this existing xcf image (s0 I can add some text) after the fact.

View 6 Replies View Related I am trying to make a simple wallpaper. I check everything carefully. Make the page 1280 x 800. Make sure the alignment is ok by inserting measurements in the boxes - ie not dragging. Make sure no object is secretly sticking out a bit. I have deleted the page's shadow. But no matter what I do I find there is a white box around the wallpaper I export. Can't figure out why, and can't get rid of it. I have also noticed that sometimes, even though I have set all objects to have a 0 point - ie be butted up against the page - their measurement suddenly will show 7px or such like and it will spring back into misalignment.
I just want to make a simple 1280 x 800 wallpaper for a client, something very easy.
When I am exporting a jpg from CorelDraw X6, I keep getting random columns of white pixels to the right of the graphic image. If I switch the matte color in the export dialogue to black, I get random amounts of black pixels. In X4, when I would export a jpg, the resulting file would be cropped right to the image edge, with no extra pixels. I'm getting anywhere from 1 to as many as 8 columns of extra pixels on the right hand side, which is problematic for utilizing the resulting files for page layout.
I achieve the same results when choosing "Export for Office" and "Export for Web".
I'm running a 64-bit install on a Win 7 64-bit box.
Okay so I'm trying to take the white background off of a picture using the select a color on white, but it takes out a lot or the fur and eyes(it's a picture of a cartoon cat) How can I remove the areas of can from the selection without removing the pieces of cat too.
It's creative commons, so I guess I can post screen shots...
The cat is from [URL]...
A general idea of the selected area
What happens when I take out the selected area
So how can I take the pieces of the cat out of the selected area so when I try to delete the background I don't get an invisible cat?
I created a logo and then opened it as a layer so that I can make a website header image. It is shown here [URL] and as you can see the background is an off-white colour. It is probably unnoticeable to many, but I would prefer to get it right. How can I make the background a pure white so that it blends in with the white of the wordpress theme?

i have this black and white graphic below.
And I would like to change the white background to a particular shade of colour, say pink. Now because I'm not 100% sure how to do this I've just been using the paint bucket fill tool to change the colour. But as you can see below, that is not 100% correct as the shades of black that make up the graphic do not "add" to make up pink shades.
I would like the result to be this:
I know I have to use something under the "Colors" menu but am not sure where to begin.
I have a logo that has many multiple colors (lots of little dots manly due to the lack of resolution). I need to change everything to white so I can lay it over a colored background.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having a problem to where there is white space between objects and no matter how many times I intersect paths I still have white-space between objects. Obviously if you are making some sort of illustration, even a pixel worth of white space could prove to be problematic. we are seeing white space between the blue and purple objects.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI quit a file opened up a new one and the model space is white. I looked under my preferences to see if the background got changed to white but it is still set on slate. I cannot see anything. When I go to open the file the small preview shows it correctly on a slate background, but then when I open it, I cannot see it. It is all white. I tried shutting down, restart and opening other files.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm an amatuer geek trying to do geeking things, like create my own cover design using Paint.net to upload for CreateSpace POD.
I downloaded my correct size template from CreateSpace, opened it with Paint.net, trimmed the excess white (I was told it was okay to do this) and started a bit of the design. Before getting too far in, I decided to take a look at the dimensions on the finished PDF.
I downloaded PrimoPDF and clicked print. With the "fit picture to frame" box checked, the right and left edges are cut off. When I uncheck the box, I get white space at the top and bottom. I'm afraid with the white space at the time and bottom, that will translate to the print book cover.
How to format a cover for CreateSpace using Paint.net and Primo?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm creating some geometric images in Illustrator for an animation in After Effects. I have four triangles that are all aligned to make a square. However, there are small white spaces between each of the triangles, so when viewed at actual size, there's a white X through the centre of the square.
How can I align the triangles exactly so there is no white space in between?
Say I draw a simple square in Illustrator CS6 then export it to a PNG using Save for Web. The preview shows 1px thick of white space on the right side. Sometimes it's on 2 sides or more.
No other hidden elements are around the image. Clip to artboard in not clicked.
