I am wanting to create a 400x600 graphic to be embedded into an email to be sent to several people. The graphic will contain links to our website. Is this possible using any of the programs in the Creative Suite? I've tried creating in Photoshop, adding slices, etc., but I'm having trouble figuring out how it shows up in the email. The email client in our company is Outlook 2003.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a way to add custom data in dwf files. We currently create 3D models which get exported to dwf format so that we can share information with clients. Ideally, we'd like them to be able to click on any member and have the software provide additonal information about that part. Example, part number. It would be awesome if the client could then say double click that part and have the actual detailed part drawing open up.
The parts we are trying to reference are generated using a third party application, so they are not solids, but the information is easily accessible in LISP.
j pgs can contain paths info. In Photoshop you'll be able to get that path.
We use it a lot for packshots, this way we can save a JPG, but with an embedded outline Path, this way you'll always be able to "cut out" the packshot by selecting the path.
It does not work with gimp .
I'm using the brick wall background, and I would like my banner to look like it is embedded in the wall itself, almost like pressed text. Is there a way to possibly to this?

And I would like to change the white background to a particular shade of colour, say pink. Now because I'm not 100% sure how to do this I've just been using the paint bucket fill tool to change the colour. But as you can see below, that is not 100% correct as the shades of black that make up the graphic do not "add" to make up pink shades.

View 7 Replies View RelatedUsing Debian testing - Gimp 2.6.11 and when I create a graphic I try to use airbrush, brush or pencil and I can't get them onto the graphic. The colour tester does get onto the graphic and works.
for the others the cursor vanishes and only the arrows on the ruler top and side move about. The cursor is behind the graphic? Moves out from under when I move off the graphic.
Need to clean up the extraneous colors around the text and the graphic in this file. Can't see them so much on the screen, but they really stand out when printed. Any way to easily do that?

Once imported, I want to remove all of the roads and unwanted data and keep the radiation pattern. The radiation pattern is in 1 color that dominates the image, and "covers" most of the other unwanted info, almost as a 50% transparency. I then want to export the radiation pattern, and use it in Google Earth. Additionally, where the radiation pattern is not, have it become completely transparent.

ive got a red sock and a white sock, and i want to place the colors black red yellow onto the red sock, so that it looks as realistic as poissible. problem is that i cant get the structure of the sock onto the new colors (i tried diffrent blending modes, displace).
I just recently started to use Gimp on my HP, and it worked fine on Dell. When I moved my brushes over, it began to crash when it'd get to the Data load. I have over 1,300 brushes, some are ABR and most are GBR, but I separated those into folders in the Brush file.

Specific Details: I am using gimp 2.6 as my image editor, and wish to collect all the RGB 3 by 1 integer vectors (where each 3 by 1 integer vector corresponds to RGB color of exactly one pixel in the jpg image) into a matrix of integer so that I can do a reduced SVD decomposition of that matrix to analyse the pixel data: I wish to compare two similar images by using the SVD decomposition of integer matrices corresponding to the two images saved as jpg files pic1.jpg and pic2.jpg.
Is there a way to view EXIF data in Gimp 2.6? I tried using the plugin 'exif-browser.tar.gz' but it did not seem to work in 2.6.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI create a graphic in Corel Draw X4 and export it as a .png file. It is a button with rounded corners. It will be going on a black background when put into an iphone app. So as to not have the little white corners show up from the rectangular export window, I made the button on top of a black rectangle, slightly larger than the button. I then selected the black to be transparant during the dialogs of exporting to png. When viewed in an image viewer the black is indeed transparent and does not show up. All looks fine.
To test what it will look like when put on top of a black background, I also make a black square and export it as a .png. I then open the black background in Corel Photopaint and then import the graphic into the background image. A siloutte of it shows up with the marque borders but the graphic itself (the colors and contents of the graphic don't). When combined with the black background it just disappears. Why doesn't it just lay on top of the other graphic?
I am hoping to utilize GIMP to map the results of a research project. Is it possible to color defined layers based on a data set? For example, is there a way to use GIMP features to edit an Adobe Illustrator editable map by importing an excel document containing two columns: one column containing the names of the defined layers and another column containing the color value in hex code. Based on this document, could I use GIMP to easily apply the colors to the layers?

I see "Raw image data" under "Open > Select File Type", but grayscale isn't listed. Is the only option? Are there any add-ons for grayscale?
I am using GIMP 2.8.4, on a netbook running Windows 7 SE, with 1G RAM, and a 1.6GHz CPU.
Ever since I started to use GIMP 2.8.4, I get this "unable to read tile data from disk" prompt, and a tile in the picture is missing, frequently.
I attached a screen shot of the prompt.
Is this because of my hard-disk? or a known bug in GIMP 2.8?
