GIMP :: Import PDF That Contains Graphic Of Radiation Patterns From RF Towers

What I am trying to do is import a PDF that contains a graphic of radiation patterns from RF towers, along with all roads and other geographical data. Once imported, I want to remove all of the roads and unwanted data and keep the radiation pattern. The radiation pattern is in 1 color that dominates the image, and "covers" most of the other unwanted info, almost as a 50% transparency. I then want to export the radiation pattern, and use it in Google Earth. Additionally, where the radiation pattern is not, have it become completely transparent.

1.) At 1:40 into the tutorial, he selects a diamond pattern as a Pattern Overlay effect. However, it's a pattern he created himself. How do I create a pattern like that? 2.) At 4:35, he draws a line with the pen tool having first selected a brush and then strokes the path. However, my path doesn't look like his. It's just a straight line, while his splays out a bit so he's able to create that shining star effect when he rotates a copy. I've attached a jpeg of mine.
What am I doing wrong to not get a line like his? Am I not choosing the right brush. I chose a brush with the diameter of 17 like he does in the tutorial. Does it look like I selected it from a different place?
I want to know all about solar radiation analysis in revit 2013. any tutorial link? I have tried it on my design but it only opens sun path. and there is no "add ins" option.
Inventor 2010 Style and Standard Editor includes 35 CUST## hatches. My guess is, it stands for custom. Is there a way to import hatch patterns from AutoCAD PAT file? This functionality is available for line types through importing AutoCAD LIN file.

I want to use photoshop elements to alter drawings so they look like quilts. I want to import fabric scans as fill colors and patterns. Is this possible?
I've been unable to import ProRes 422 files son I have to work with the H264 native files, which suck. But now I tried to import a couple of PSDs and a TIFF and they don't appear in the media hub nor can I drag-and-drop'em to the media library.
I am using the newest version of Gimp. Everything is great, it runs smooth and not many crashes..But! I cant make brushes or Patterns. in the older versions all you had to do was select what you wanted as a brush/pattern name it, and it would appear
Now, I get this Error: (<unknown> : 18850791) Procedure execution of file-gbr-save failed: Could not open 'C:Documents and SettingsNorseman.gimp-2.8/brushes/mybrush14.gbr' for writing: No such file or directory
Am I missing something? Do I need to reinstall Gimp?I havent loaded any new patterns or brushes, so I dont know why its not working?
Given the poor support for straight stitch counted embroidery (aka Spanish Stitch, Holbein Stitch, Punto Scritto, double running stitch) in commercial targeted-purpose stitching chart creation programs, I came up with a GIMP based solution. I've posted a seven part tutorial on a way to do it. It's aimed at absolute beginners because most folk doing this type of stitching are not conversant with graphics program concepts or methods. I cannot seem to organize my patterns. I save patterns under specific group names, i.e. Leather Fabric (1), or Denim Fabric (1), but when I refresh my pattern window, those patterns may or may not be grouped together. When they are not grouped together they scatter all over the place, which is very frustrating. I have not figured out how to group categories of patterns, I guess...or even if it's possible.
Another thing I am curious about is the initial patterns supplied with the GIMP program. Can we delete those? I used to be able to black them out and save them that way, or drop a different pattern in and save that, but I don't seem to be able to do that with the newest version of GIMP.
With the newest version of GIMP, another issue I'm having is saving patterns. I can no longer go to SAVE AS....and save a pat file. I have to go to EXPORT. which seems weird to me.
I have a graphic that's been created in Photoshop. Is it possible to take that graphic and import to Illustrator so that it can be made into a path, that way I can manipulate it without losing the intergrity of the image.
Is there a way to select a portion of an image, and create patterns/textures that fill the selection?
If yes, is there the option of using my own images as the pattern/texture to be used? And is there the option to fill the selection either randomly or pattern-like? 'Noise' is not what I'm looking for.
If it´s possible to import vector graphic with fountain fills from AI (adobe illustrator) to CorelDraw x6 for further editing.
if i export from AI to eps or ai, and import to x6 the graphic with fountain fills becomes raster, if i export to pdf, the graphic is almost okay, but not as i wish to.
I have been told that some, many, or most cameras record non graphic data in the image file such as name of the camera owner, date of photograph, etc. or that other methods may have been used to record such data or edit it.
A. Is this true B. Is it true of all image file formats C. If it is true how does one view this data. D. Is this data useful for copyright purposes
And I would like to change the white background to a particular shade of colour, say pink. Now because I'm not 100% sure how to do this I've just been using the paint bucket fill tool to change the colour. But as you can see below, that is not 100% correct as the shades of black that make up the graphic do not "add" to make up pink shades.

I have a logo that has many multiple colors (lots of little dots manly due to the lack of resolution). I need to change everything to white so I can lay it over a colored background.
I've got a problem with my MEDION graphic tray (MSN:5503 9347).I want to draw in grayscale with my Windows 7 computer.In Windows XP it was no problem, but I cant do that under Windows 7.I think that it's the driver, wich supports the graphic trayas a mouse instead of a graphic tray.I have asked MEDION already, but they said, I have toask the software producers.

I am the leader of a program at church and there is a logo for it. I am endeavoring to take that logo saved on my HD reduce its size ( I know How ) then add text to bottom and save it as a signature in pictures to use with the group.
The attached graphic, which came from a book on archive.org was originally 520 x 721 pixels. The same graphic was enhanced and increased to 1185 x 1600 pixels (the other attachment). It's clear and bright, and hasn't lost any detail. How this is done?
Using Debian testing - Gimp 2.6.11 and when I create a graphic I try to use airbrush, brush or pencil and I can't get them onto the graphic. The colour tester does get onto the graphic and works.
for the others the cursor vanishes and only the arrows on the ruler top and side move about. The cursor is behind the graphic? Moves out from under when I move off the graphic.
Need to clean up the extraneous colors around the text and the graphic in this file. Can't see them so much on the screen, but they really stand out when printed. Any way to easily do that?

I have tried different Ai exports, but all come into msWord as pictures. Is there a way to keep the Text Layer in my Ai file searchable in msWord.
