i am using photoshop CS2 on a Windows Vista Machine.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have an image, roughly human shaped, rendered in hundreds of tiny circles. how can i make a separate outline of the whole image, so that i can then fill it with white? i want to be able to put the original image on a black BG but have the empty space between the circles show up as white.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm in hopes there is a technique whereas I can paint within the black areas to remove the white spec without worrying about going over the edge, as I would with a black paint brush. I tried different brush blending modes (screen, overlay, multiply) didn't do the trick.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow can i remove the white space from this JPEG image (attached to this post) so that I can overlap it with another image without the white space showing?
The image is actually saved as a rectangle with the white space on the top right hand corner, where it curves.
I just upgraded to CS Cloud. When I open images in Photoshop the canvas appears to be very large. So I tried cropping the image. When I go to the Image Size or Canvas Size the right size appears. However, on screen there is all of this white space that shows up.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI need to create a header for my blog, which I've done and uploaded it here; testertown.blogspot.com (it's just to design the template before uploading). In the Photoshop window it comes up brilliant white background, brilliant colors.
But when I upload it it's like it has a grey haze over it? I'm using Photoshop 9, and have never had any trouble before, I got rid of the blog template I've been using to see if it's being caused by that but no luck. I've tried uploading the image to photo bucket and then inserting it like that, still the same.
I've tried using a transparent background, upping the contrast and brightness of the whole image, starting with a white background in all of the available options: CMYK, Lab, RGB.
I've created a blog header before and it's come out white, with no problems or altering. I have downloaded fonts which I'm using as the header, but the whole image is grey, not just the font area.
I created a logo in photoshop. It has no background. When I save the logo in another format for use in other programs it saves a square white background. This is bad when i want to paste the logo ontop of an image. How do i save the logo without the white background?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having a problem to where there is white space between objects and no matter how many times I intersect paths I still have white-space between objects. Obviously if you are making some sort of illustration, even a pixel worth of white space could prove to be problematic. we are seeing white space between the blue and purple objects.

I've been trying to extract a couple of hair models in order to put them on a transparent background and display them on her homepage using a JavaScript rotator.
I use the Lasso tool to select the main parts and then extract the hair using the Refine Edges tool in CS6. It all looks good as long as I'm working with it in PS. I see no signs of white scratch marks in either a dark or transparent background. But as soon as I save the image in either gif or PNG with transparency, the scratch marks appear.
How to extract these two images on a transparent background and then tell what they did so that I can do the rest of them myself. These are the ones I have real difficulty with. The files are in Tiff format and I could use either gif or PNG.

This has started to happen to me recently, working across indesign and Photoshop, for some cutouts it is easier to have a "pure white" background (0%c, 0%m, 0%y, 0%k) rather than transparency, it keeps down file sizes and speeds up workflow etc - plus sometimes press images just come like that.
recently I have noticed that some images, despite being saved as a "pure white" background, are coming out with 1%c, 1%m, 1%y, 0%k backgrounds once I re-open them. Doesn't matter if I save, Save as, copy the image, duplicate it, I keep getting the 1% color back in. This is occasionally causing problems with printers.
Ive, ive removed the white background of an image that was a png file, how do i get that image with the white removed onto my harddrive with the transparent background intact?, i save it to my hardrive but the white keeps showing up, 8
View 1 Replies View RelatedI quit a file opened up a new one and the model space is white. I looked under my preferences to see if the background got changed to white but it is still set on slate. I cannot see anything. When I go to open the file the small preview shows it correctly on a slate background, but then when I open it, I cannot see it. It is all white. I tried shutting down, restart and opening other files.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm an amatuer geek trying to do geeking things, like create my own cover design using Paint.net to upload for CreateSpace POD.
I downloaded my correct size template from CreateSpace, opened it with Paint.net, trimmed the excess white (I was told it was okay to do this) and started a bit of the design. Before getting too far in, I decided to take a look at the dimensions on the finished PDF.
I downloaded PrimoPDF and clicked print. With the "fit picture to frame" box checked, the right and left edges are cut off. When I uncheck the box, I get white space at the top and bottom. I'm afraid with the white space at the time and bottom, that will translate to the print book cover.
How to format a cover for CreateSpace using Paint.net and Primo?
We have a drawing and when in Model space you can see different layers that are different colors but when open paper space everything is white? Setting to change this so that everything is by layer in paper space?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm creating some geometric images in Illustrator for an animation in After Effects. I have four triangles that are all aligned to make a square. However, there are small white spaces between each of the triangles, so when viewed at actual size, there's a white X through the centre of the square.
How can I align the triangles exactly so there is no white space in between?
Say I draw a simple square in Illustrator CS6 then export it to a PNG using Save for Web. The preview shows 1px thick of white space on the right side. Sometimes it's on 2 sides or more.
No other hidden elements are around the image. Clip to artboard in not clicked.
I am just starting to learn Illustrator and am having an issue with filling an object. I am creating a box and when I fill that box the top acts as if there is a straight path even though there isn't. Also the right side of the box cuts only fills diagonally. One with the paths, two with the incomplete fill.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI quite often want to have a series of graphics lined up horizontally or vertically with no space between them, so I can use them as one image. Evenly distributing white space doesn't work because depending on the positions of the two end images they either overlap or there is white space between them.
The Serif DrawPlus alignment options has an option for evenly distributing (like Xara), but also has the option of specifying the number of pixels of white space ('spacing), with negative, zero and positive values.
So if the background (by background I don't mean the background layer, this is all one layer) is completely white, and I've got part of the image selected, is there a way to move just the selected portion while having pdn fill in the background instead of leaving it transparent/empty?

I have a picture of a toy, I want to lift the toy off the background and leave only white space around it.
Here's what I've accomplished so far:
Created new layer Used the rounded rectangle to isolate the toy inverted the image used the magic wand to crop areas that had to go cropped as close to the toy as possible. Now I have the image but it's on this ugly, bits and pieces left over square.
What I'd like to know is: will making the background transparent fix it?
I'm still playing with it and saw a tutorial on transparency, but each time I attempt to do it - the entire image disappears.
After exporting an *.ai file to jpeg using 150 ppi and 5 for compression, I have extra white space below the artwork. This has happened in two files after exporting.
