How can i remove the white space from this JPEG image (attached to this post) so that I can overlap it with another image without the white space showing?
The image is actually saved as a rectangle with the white space on the top right hand corner, where it curves.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI already know how to remove backgrounds from images, and create a transparent background. However, I need to be able to use the resulting image in another program called Scratch. And as far as I know, it does not accept .tiff, .pgn, .psd or gifs.
How do I completely remove that background so that it doesn't show up white in other programs when I save it as a .jpeg?
I have some large collections of images: columns of 8 to 10 images across with as many as 40 to 60 rows. These are exported from a program called CatDV Pro. Between each row is gray space -- my problem is that I need to reduce that gray separator between the rows to make a better visual display and also to get it to fit on the page of the book. I have about 30 to 40 of these image collections to process.
Some things I cannot do: reduce the size of the gray separators in CatDV Pro -- not possible. It is only possible to export the entire page of images together. Sure I could export each individual image but that would be a garganuan task -- not practical.
I don't want to cut and paste indivdual images or rows. Sure, it's possible but not at all practical.
I have tried Content Aware Scaling and it is not uniform enough. Some rows squish before others. I know about protecting some area in Content Aware Scaling but that doesn't seem practical either, not with 40 rows. Maybe I'm missing something there.

I have accidentally made my drawing in black and shades of black (grey) on a white background in Photoshop. Is there a way I can delete the white pixels only and then have only the grey and black pixels remaining? If possible, I don’t want a hard pixellated edge where the white and grey/black pixels meet.
What I want remaining is only the black and grey lines with a transparent background.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop Elements 11. I designed a book cover with Microsoft Word 2010 and saved the file as a Pdf. I want to upload an image of this book cover to various web sites that require a Jpeg image and the book cover has to cover at least 85% of the image and require a pure white back ground. Pixel size can be 1,000 or more. I did go to the library to get reference books but, I can't ascertain from these books how to do this. I am a beginner to Photoshop and realize I will have to get training for future projects. I wanted to upload an image from my computer to show you the book cover but there was a dialogue box that appeared saying the file was too large to upload. The book cover I designed is 8.5' x 11.0"

No other hidden elements are around the image. Clip to artboard in not clicked.

With the intention of then being able to resize the image to the exact dimensions I require before then resizing the canvas size to create the exact amount of white spacing between the tops and bottom of the image.
Viewing the website in IE8, the poster image displays correctly but there is added white space to the right and under the image.

I need to remove the colored part of the jpeg image with magic wand in illustrator cs6 and make it a vector image. The magic wand doesn't seem to do anything in illustrator. I did it in Photoshop and saved it as a PNG with trnsprnt background opened it up in illustrator and it was all jagged. It is such a simple image, only two colors, blue on white.

However, regardless of which way I attempt to export - jpg, tif or png, I'm still getting the (white artboard) background, which I do not want. I attempted to create another box & blend the background to the background of the other application that I am using, but it's still apparent.
Also, with some conversion, my image became distorted or changed the image colors a little bit.

I've spent most of today doing some print design in xdp7, I like the software a lot especially the live effects, however there seems to be a problem I'm experiencing using them in that once I have used an effect, xdp7 adds a load of white space to my image, like thousands of pixels, obviously I customised the size of the image before I began, and when I export the image it reads some of the time as the desired size, and some of the time the much larger size. I've tried cropping but it doesn't make any difference, I've tried changing the image size in the utilities option, but still the image I created is there along with the white space.
So how do I make sure what I save is just what I am creating, and how do I stop this from happening or counteract it. Also why does it do this?

In my old program (not xara) I could just click on the area/color, it turn pink and then click finish it would erase. Is that possible with this program?
When I am exporting a jpg from CorelDraw X6, I keep getting random columns of white pixels to the right of the graphic image. If I switch the matte color in the export dialogue to black, I get random amounts of black pixels. In X4, when I would export a jpg, the resulting file would be cropped right to the image edge, with no extra pixels. I'm getting anywhere from 1 to as many as 8 columns of extra pixels on the right hand side, which is problematic for utilizing the resulting files for page layout.
I achieve the same results when choosing "Export for Office" and "Export for Web".
I'm running a 64-bit install on a Win 7 64-bit box.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWe have recently upgraded our lab where I work to CS6. Previously we were using Photoshop 7.0. The issue I have relates to an external piece of software that queues prints to a large format photographic printer. This software is, picky, about the JPEGS it receives.
The JPEG's saved out of CS6 do not process through this software. The JPEG's saved out of Photoshop 7.0 do. I can strip the 'APP markers' from the CS6 JPEG's using Irfanview and this resolves the issues with the CS6 files. This is not good workflow.
I have tried creating a blank Photoshop file in CS6 at the relevant dimensions and pasting the image data on to it then saving as a JPEG in CS6. This suffers the same problem. So I believe the issue is related to the extra data put in the JPEG headers from CS6.
I have as yet been unable to find a way to reduce / eliminate this extra data.
From what I can find on adobe.com they don't really offer any support? I am in Australia and there is, from what I can see, no one employed by adobe to provide support. $1200 worth of Photoshop and no support!!! Good work if you can get it .
