Trying very hard to figure out how to remove the white box from around this image and preserve it to use in another background. I can not get the steps right. Can a seasoned paint.net user give me a few easy steps.

When I remove the background of an image theres always this white border thats on it. Ive filled background in another colour and cropped the image but the white border is always there. How do i remove this?

However, there are shadows and you can see the seams in the background. I would like to brighten the white and remove shadows so that the shoe image looks professional. I thought about removing the bottom rectangle and then putting an ellipse around it but it's not a perfect circle...it's flat at the bottom.
Also, I can't seem to get the perfect ellipse size or move it.
How do you select an ellipse once you've made it and resize it?
I have 1 picture with a blue background and a metal steel basin. I would like to remove the background and change the color to white.
Background is a material so it's not all perfectly the same color, very slight different shades of blue in the picture. The tutorials say outline it but this is a circular metal object. I tried using the circle tool but I can't get it exact and there seems to be no way to select a circle.

I don't mind changing the background, I just can't figure out and easy way to get this done, aside from zooming in really close, cutting them out, and pasting them on another background. I have accidentally made my drawing in black and shades of black (grey) on a white background in Photoshop. Is there a way I can delete the white pixels only and then have only the grey and black pixels remaining? If possible, I don’t want a hard pixellated edge where the white and grey/black pixels meet.
What I want remaining is only the black and grey lines with a transparent background.
I managed to create the Illustrator image I want & now need to take this image & use it in another application. However, regardless of which way I attempt to export - jpg, tif or png, I'm still getting the (white artboard) background, which I do not want. I attempted to create another box & blend the background to the background of the other application that I am using, but it's still apparent.
Also, with some conversion, my image became distorted or changed the image colors a little bit.

I would like to get some variety of photos looking like they were taken during the civil war era. This would include white specks, black splotches, blurred edges, irregular black edges, etc. I have looked for ways in which to accomplish this and have not been successful at this.
Currently, I am using the following to varying degrees: Sepia Toning/Black and White, Blur, Salt and Pepper noise, and Vignette.

In my old program (not xara) I could just click on the area/color, it turn pink and then click finish it would erase. Is that possible with this program?
I'm trying to remove the blitz shadow from head and body on a white/grey background, with the Lasso tool. The adjustments with Brightness/Contrast in the chosen area works like a charm, however I always get a nasty pixeled or whitelined boarder going constantly around the edited area; no matter if it boarders to a black area (shoulder) or a gray one (wall behind person).
I've tried to edit the primary/secondary color, with no luck. Any way to make this boarder "blend in" to the new brightness area - or to just remove it? The edited area is somewhat identical to the old background, so there is no natural reason to why it should be a constant boarder.
Or is it a better (and easy!) way to remove blitz shadow from a black and white picture?

I can't figure out how to remove all transparency from the image / layer. I'm new to paint.net, it may be obvious to others how to do this but not to me
The layer properties (where I thought I'd fix this) show opacity 255 now but the image still has unwanted transparency.

What is the easiest and quickest way to remove this section or blur it with the background? I've tried using the dropper to select the background colour nearby and then using the paint brush to cover it up but my "fix up" seems to stand out just as much as the blutac did in the original...
View 10 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to make some combined images to make jewelry for my family but when I cut out an image from one picture and paste into a new layer above a different background, my cut image has white surrounding it, even after I have gone into 1600 zoom and removed all traces of white. I think the cut image is clean then I tell the program to print preview and wow, serious white outline, how to get rid of it? It sure makes my final print really juvenile and cheezy. Using Paint.net v3.5.8. to cut out images. Using ms Word to resize, layer and group images although I seem to have the same issue using paint.net too.

I need the logo of my team from a game I play so I can modify or create profile cards. I have the original card and I'm trying to copy and paste the logo so I can use it on another image with a different background or theme. But when I copy and paste the logo I want to use, I use the "select" option and it goes with the original background. Is there an option so I can make the background dissappear and just get my logo on a transparent background for future use or edition? In this case I'm trying to make a St.Patrick's theme for the fan page of my team.

But when i put that man on another dark background, i can see a very thin white line around the man, like it was "cut" from another image (which is true...) how do i get rid of this white line around him?
I tried to focus and delete it manually but it is an endless work. I attached the image, do you see the white stripe around the man?
