I sell clothing online, and I'm looking for the best way to quickly remove the price from an image of the retail tag. Everything I've tried seems to be tedious, so I don't think I've got the right tool so far. I just want to be able to do what was called a "Smart Erase" in my old Digital Image Pro program -- I simply drew a quick outline around the area to be erased, and then clicked on the erase button, and the price was gone off the tag (it inserted the same background area there).

Until recently my Ulead Art Texture worked perfectly.
Now when I go to the Edit area all the pallettes are greyscale.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and cannot get the colours back into the pallettes.

Jul 30, 2011I recently upgraded to Paintshop Photo Pro X3. On my old computer, I have Paintshop Pro 9.
I first downloaded the trial version of Pro X3, and then purchased the full version after the trial.
I've downloaded all the patches, but it does not work.
Every single time I try to use the option:
EFFECTS
TEXTURE EFFECTS
TEXTURE
the program crashes.
I've rebooted, restarted with ONLY Paintshop open, and it still crashes. I use the texture option quite frequently.

Dec 22, 2006I am restoring a very old photograph with all the familiar Photoshop tools (Healing Brush, Clone Stamp, Curves, and Noise Reduction). My image restoration has one need that I am not familiar with. The photograph was scanned from a textured print, which appears as a bas relief (like a canvas). I would like to remove this texture to help remove the noise and sharpen the photo. Please let me know any techniques for removing this moir?

Apr 10, 2013The printer setting - I could never save it.For my label printer LP2844, every time I print, it defaults to Width=4.88 and Height=11.00 and some unprintable area settings. Every time I do my first printing, I have to change it (to 4"x6"). I have gone thru my Windows printer device setting (properties, preferences, advanced, etc) and I have removed the printer device, deleted and driver, reinstalled everything and it still does it.Then I try it on another PC. I have deleted these folders manually and they are recreated each time PSP launches. I have changed the settings in File -> Preferences -> File Locations to remove references to these folder locations, and then tried deleting them, but they are recreated again on load. how to remove them? They are littering my network drive...

When I scan it the scanned image has thin white vertical stripes through all the dark areas of the photo. I have located a method of removing them using Photoshop (using layers etc) but cannot duplicate those 'instructions' using PSP X2.

Sep 1, 2013I recently installed Corel Paintshop PhotoPro X3. I find now that when I double-click a gif file (and I think some other types) it is opened with Corel Instant Viewer rather than Microsoft Office 2010. I want Office to be the default viewer, so from Windows Explorer I right-clicked the gif file, selected "Open with..." then "Select default program", then Microsoft Office 2010, and checked "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file", finally "OK". The file then opened with Office. However the next time I double-clicked the same file, it opened once more with Corel Instant Viewer.
The procedure I followed has worked in other cases, so I don't understand why it doesn't work now. Is there any way of preventing Corel Instant Viewer from being the default viewer short of uninstalling it?

Nov 7, 2013I would like to get some variety of photos looking like they were taken during the civil war era. This would include white specks, black splotches, blurred edges, irregular black edges, etc. I have looked for ways in which to accomplish this and have not been successful at this.
Currently, I am using the following to varying degrees: Sepia Toning/Black and White, Blur, Salt and Pepper noise, and Vignette.
