I made my first Bluray video onto a Disk....looks great (with audio ). But now, when I try do more editing , make another disk, or save to a file in my PC., I have no audio. If I save it as a dvd, the sound is fine. I've reinstalled the software, still the same. Have I turned the audio off somehow when I try to make the file in Bluray format ?

I have a video of one person being interviewed by another, and I want to make inaudible some of the words - usually it's just one or two words at a time, whilst the video continues. Rather than have these words covered with a "beep" my preference would be for "silence". At the moment my best guess would be to multitrim the video, and for the clip that contains only the offending word, split the audio, and then delete the audio for that clip.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've done this before on Pro X3 but don't remember how. I want to create a file with a Dolby Stereo LtRt soundtrack for you-tube. Last time I posted you-tube took a h.264 file.
One thing I don't remember is do I use 2 mono tracks (l and r) or an integrated LtRt stereo file. Right now I'm trying it with stereo file which plays on XP4 but the completed movie sounds like pink noise.
Working with family project (captured by someone else-not me). Gist is that the raw AVI file doesn't have any sound when I play in media player or VSX2. The avi video format shows up as mpeg4s Decoder DMO and the audio as "Unknown ACM Format". I naively used this to make an mpeg vid file and tried to tweak the audio using LPCM but the resulting file has no audio either. The avi shows the video compression as mpeg4 but when I use my mpeg4 converter it doesn't recognise it so it's obviously an avi file with an mpeg4 video compression used.
Is there any way to recover the audio in these circumstances?
I want to extract the audio from a short avi clip for editing in Audacity. The user guide says it can be done but I can't find where it says how.
View 1 Replies View RelatedA friend of mine shot some video with his JVC everio on 1/8/11.The native files PLAY fine in VS3 however any attempt to convert to any output video file or just output the audio track (which is what I really want to do) results in random audio "skips" like what happened when an LP had a scratch and a stylus couldn't play it.I have VS SP2 installed along with the audio patch on the Corel site.
I've successfully exported the MOD files to other formats using a freeware program called Video Pad from nchsoftware.com, so I can only assume VS has a problem.
I thought before I downloaded that MOD file converter, that's been discussed here, I would ask.Seems that a PAYware software like VS, shouldn't have this problem.Prior to using MOD files, I used AVI files in VS and exporting to an audio file worked just peachy.
I am using VS Pro X2 - I have 3 small MP4 files in my project timeline (filmed on my mobile phone) and for some reason although they play fine on the clip, the audio doesn't come out on the Project, or on the finished DVD, which is a real pain...I have 94 minutes of good quality DVD and 45 seconds of silence! If there was no audio at all I could understand it, but the MP4 clips all play fine on the "clip"...it''s just that when I play them under the 'Project', there is no audio.
My original DV files (which are all ok) are MPEG Audio Layer 2 files - 48000Hz, 16 Bit Stereo - bitrate 224kbps
The MP4 clips are MPEG AAC Audio files - 48000Hz, 16 Bit Stereo - bitrate 113kbps
VS11+,Firefox,XP Home.I have imported a WAV file from my hard drive ,it is 705bps and 99.7 kb, it plays in Windows Media Player but there is no sound when played in the music track.Initially I raised the vol to 200(it was to play with a file in the other sound track) as I could not hear it.It played once.Then, VS "encountered a prob and had to close" and the file has remained silent ever since.The wav file still plays in WMP.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI am having difficulty generating files with VS X3. The app works fine opening the source files, editing and preview playback. Preview replay has audio and is very smooth. However, all generated files have no audio. The files I'm working with are recordings using the Hauppauge HD PVR controlled by BeyondTV (V4.9.2). Those fies are MPEG-2 Transport files, having the extension *.tp. VS does not recognize the TP extension - which is very frustrating. When I change the extension to M2T, they import fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 recently. I split a number of video files on a daily basis. This is what I do:
I take an Avi file that has a duration of about 30 minutes. I drag and drop the video into the "video track" area in the program.
Then I use the little "slider" thing and drag it to 15 minutes and click on the "scissors" symbol. which results in making the video split into 2 parts.
I delete the first part on the "video track" are and then I click on "share"-->"create video file"-->"custom"-->I choose Avi .
The compression I choose is Xvid Mpeg-4, 24 Bit RGB, and the Audio Format is Mpeg Layer 3, 8 Bits, 11.025 Hz Mono
The resulting video does not have any sound . This does not happen if I delete the 2nd part and create the video file with the first 15 minutes only. This happens with almost all of my videos (all of them are avi).
I have a brand new machine with Iintel i7 windows 7 and 8mg ram, just bought VSX5 pro ultimate.
When I try to import "insert" audio file (mp3) I get back an error "file format mismatch" and so I am unable to insert it to the movie.
The Pro X3 help file says I can extract audio from a video file, but doesn't say how. What I would like to do is extract a segment of audio music from an MPEG2 video file using PRO X3 and add it to the Library for use in another PRO X3 project.

(or to put on audio track 2 and mute 1). I haven't as yet found a way to lift the audio track and load into a separate file.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to render a video that is composed of video clips and an .mp3 music file, I'd like to get the finished file into as big of a file as I can. In order to do that, I select the MPEG-4 option. The good news is it typically will result in an approx file size of 250MB for a 2 1/2 minute video, versus 170MB for any other file extension. The bad news is the audio is full of pops and noise. The audio remains fine with any other option other than MPEG-4.
I've tried numerous ways to 'reconstruct' the file...using different audio file extensions (it seems to prefer .wma files but there is a noticeable drop in clarity), rendering the video only then adding the audio file and rendering again...nothing works. I've also tried to modify the rendering options in each video selection that Corel offers (this is in the window that pops up asking for the file name just before you render it), but the audio never gets better.
I just got done installing the Corel Videostudio Pro x6, I am trying to import my own personal music-audio file into the music track, however when I do the system crashes or another way of saying it, a window pops open saying Corel has stop working. This same problem happen with the x5 Pro version. I notice that the pre-loaded audio files in Corel are files of MPEG-1...do I need to convert my MP3s into MPEG-1 in order for this to work?
I have a few converting tools but none of them can convert MP3s into MPEG-1..
When the video file is saved and burn on DVD disc and play on a DVD player, only the images appear on the TV screen but there is no sound coming out from the speakers. I'm using Studio Pro X4
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm working in VSX4. I've created a couple of small movies which I want to compile onto a single dvd. The video files from both movies combined only amount to about 3.2 GB, yet when I try to "share" and make the dvd with both of my vsp files, it adds up to be a total of over 7 GB. Is it normal to have this much "inflation" on a project? I've not done anything special as far as graphics or fancy menus or even chapter markers. It's just a handful of clips with the "crossfade" transition applied. And that's it.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have used X5 to build a slideshow, but this is the first time I tried using video. The source are mpg's created with the Sony Motion Picture Browser (taken with a DCR SR42 Handy Cam). I added title screens between my video segments. I then used the create disc link in section 3 to create a menu (linked to the titles I added previously). I then told it to make an ISO file. It reached ~ 85% of the title conversion (24% total) and the PC shut down. Not a crash, no errors, just shut down. I turn the PC back on and it boots up like normal, No unexpected shutdown screens, no safe mode, just normal boot up. I have downloaded and installed service packs 1 & 2. I was making a 16x9 video with standard ( not Dolby) audio.
This is a wedding video for a couple I know. I was able to burn a DVD from Sony software, but it is unedited video.
I have recently upgraded my old VideoStudio 12.00 to VideoStudio Pro X4 and have only just started using the program again after a couple of years of absence so I am still on a learning curve.
Can I extract the audio from a video clip and if so how and how can I convert it, if necessary into an Audio Interchange File Format, so that I can export it to a program such as Audacity for removing background wind noise before importing the Audio back into the videoStudio project.
I have tried using all the audio filter functions in VS to remove the background noise, to no avail.
I have on .avi video file from friend, that I can play OK with sound in VLan player, I just installed X3 and tried to make DVD from it and got it without sound, same thing if I play this loaded .avi in X3, don't have any sound ? Is there any secret encoding I have to look for ? Somebody told me that X3 will eat any format.

I am having a problem with way slow audio in Ulead Videostudio 11.5 plus. I know it's an older version, but the format is similar or the same for some of the programs and maybe someone else has had that issue on even a new software version.
I managed to make some music videos with the software, after going to Youtube, as the manual for the software really isn't that great in all honesty. it simply doesn't tell you much detail on doing things. Putting in a music track to the video clips and then turning the sound on each clip all the way down wasn't a problem, but now that I want to do a normal video-I'm finding the sound in the virtual clip or whatever(which I recorded into my digital camera-mov. files), plays like Jabba the Hut off Starwars!
What do I do here to make it sound normal and be able to edit properly and share it in normal sound?I tried splitting the audio and then it sounded normal, BUT it still had that nasty slow sound on the audio. No matter if you mute it or pull the sound down in the video/audio clips in editing. How do I get rid of that slow sound or change it to make it right? Do I even need to split audio there?
So I go to edit some video and now all of a sudden there is no sound/audio playback in any of my clips. The files are fine. They play fine in other software, and in other editing software as well. But this is the my software of preference and I can't use it. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED. The same thing has also happened to my DVD Workshop 2 software. And the same thing happened to at least 3 previous versions of VideoStudio. Everything works great and then one day BAM, no audio. The data is there because if I go ahead and render it again and play the new file on something else the audio is still there. So the problem is only on Corel/Ulead products. As a matter of fact I just downloaded the VS X3 demo. I cannot find anything about it online anywhere. If I cannot figure this out I am NEVER going to buy another Corel/Ulead product again. And I am a longtime user, way back to version 3 or 4. And for some idiotic reason I keep buying the new versions.

View 8 Replies View RelatedSlideshow Creation: I'd like to make a slideshow DVD for Xmas to give out. I've made a lot of movies with VS but never a slide show and in fact i've never created a slideshow in any program.
Is this possible in VS10 or would it be better to use DVDLab Pro for this? If VS10 is sufficient to do this (just a fairly basic slideshow NOT HD). I really can't grasp it from the Manual since it really isn't covered in detail there (or did i miss it?) I'm looking to see what types of photos/graphics files and what resolution as well as a HOW TO. I'm clueless about slideshow creation.

When using the audio fade in and out to activate the fade should the bars be highlighted or dimmed? I don't seem to hear any difference between them. (Vid pro x4)

Again it seems, audio plays fine when playing a clip from the preview window but not when playing on the timeline. (I had a similar problem with X10 and reported it in an older thread.)
Am searching now for more patches (and yes, I'm aware X6 is now the current version) but nothing obvious at the moment. Have found the SP 1/2/3 downloads on Corel's pages, but as it already upgraded to SP3 just after install, I'm guessing SP 1 and 2 are already covered..
I have VideoStudio X5 Pro. Trying to add voice over using a mike. Problem I am having is the volume. On playback I can barely hear my voice. Have raise the volume level in X5 to the max, still have the issue.

For the first time since, I've burned a multi-chapter DVD and when I play it there is no audio on Chapters 2-4 but it sounds fine on the menu music and the first chapter. Each chapter is an AVI and plays fine in VS and then in the menu preview.
I've reinstalled the software a couple of times and tried a different DVD+R but still no audio on half of the disc.
