How I can add an edited audio file to a MP4 video file? The problem is that the MP4 video already has audio files included with the import. I want to change those file and add the edited files. It seems that I can't delete or cut the audio files out of the video clip to add the edited version. By the way I am using Corel Video Studio Pro X3

However, when I use the multi-trim feature, it strips the original audio. I know it does this so you can create your own video and then overlay your own audio. However, all I want to do is just cut out a few portions of the video while retaining the original audio minus the parts I cut out (i.e. I don't want to have to overlay any audio for this project, I just want a simple way to cut a few parts out and be done).

However, all generated files have no audio. The files I'm working with are recordings using the Hauppauge HD PVR controlled by BeyondTV (V4.9.2). Those fies are MPEG-2 Transport files, having the extension *.tp. VS does not recognize the TP extension - which is very frustrating. When I change the extension to M2T, they import fine.

I did some editing to some MPEG-4 video files and when I was finished I found out that the file sizes of each video blew up to huge numbers. During the editing I did add some transitions and .MPEG photo images. I didn't think that the video size would grow to that amount. View 8 Replies View RelatedA friend of mine shot some video with his JVC everio on 1/8/11.The native files PLAY fine in VS3 however any attempt to convert to any output video file or just output the audio track (which is what I really want to do) results in random audio "skips" like what happened when an LP had a scratch and a stylus couldn't play it.I have VS SP2 installed along with the audio patch on the Corel site.
I've successfully exported the MOD files to other formats using a freeware program called Video Pad from nchsoftware.com, so I can only assume VS has a problem.
I thought before I downloaded that MOD file converter, that's been discussed here, I would ask.Seems that a PAYware software like VS, shouldn't have this problem.Prior to using MOD files, I used AVI files in VS and exporting to an audio file worked just peachy.
I have been using Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 recently. I split a number of video files on a daily basis. This is what I do:
I take an Avi file that has a duration of about 30 minutes. I drag and drop the video into the "video track" area in the program.
Then I use the little "slider" thing and drag it to 15 minutes and click on the "scissors" symbol. which results in making the video split into 2 parts.
I delete the first part on the "video track" are and then I click on "share"-->"create video file"-->"custom"-->I choose Avi .
The compression I choose is Xvid Mpeg-4, 24 Bit RGB, and the Audio Format is Mpeg Layer 3, 8 Bits, 11.025 Hz Mono
The resulting video does not have any sound . This does not happen if I delete the 2nd part and create the video file with the first 15 minutes only. This happens with almost all of my videos (all of them are avi).
The Pro X3 help file says I can extract audio from a video file, but doesn't say how. What I would like to do is extract a segment of audio music from an MPEG2 video file using PRO X3 and add it to the Library for use in another PRO X3 project.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to render a video that is composed of video clips and an .mp3 music file, I'd like to get the finished file into as big of a file as I can. In order to do that, I select the MPEG-4 option. The good news is it typically will result in an approx file size of 250MB for a 2 1/2 minute video, versus 170MB for any other file extension. The bad news is the audio is full of pops and noise. The audio remains fine with any other option other than MPEG-4.
I've tried numerous ways to 'reconstruct' the file...using different audio file extensions (it seems to prefer .wma files but there is a noticeable drop in clarity), rendering the video only then adding the audio file and rendering again...nothing works. I've also tried to modify the rendering options in each video selection that Corel offers (this is in the window that pops up asking for the file name just before you render it), but the audio never gets better.
When the video file is saved and burn on DVD disc and play on a DVD player, only the images appear on the TV screen but there is no sound coming out from the speakers. I'm using Studio Pro X4
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded my old VideoStudio 12.00 to VideoStudio Pro X4 and have only just started using the program again after a couple of years of absence so I am still on a learning curve.
Can I extract the audio from a video clip and if so how and how can I convert it, if necessary into an Audio Interchange File Format, so that I can export it to a program such as Audacity for removing background wind noise before importing the Audio back into the videoStudio project.
I have tried using all the audio filter functions in VS to remove the background noise, to no avail.
I have created and burnt a video and find that after burning it plays fine on a computer but not on television. Opening the video in Pro X3 and checking the Properties I find that it is in NTSC profile. Obviously not a lot of use in the UK. The television tells me that the DVD is an incorrect DVD, which I would expect if it's burnt for viewing on a computer or in NTSC format.
How can I change this to PAL DVD? When saved it is saved in Corel VS, which I would expect. When I go into the Library to obtain the video there appears nowhere where I can change it to PAL.
When adding audio to a video file inside PS CS6 i loose the preview functionality. How can i fix this?

However, once I have added an effect (any effect), the audio cannot be heard in clip playback - it can only be heard in project playback. The software is muting the audio attached to my segments upon "sharing" them to MPEG 4 - HD.
I record the video on a Sony HDR-Cx110, these files save as .mts. I drag and drop these files into the editor, top and tail them with my intro/outro video and add in two layers - This is where i think the issue comes in. After i add in the two layers the audio from the main segment goes mute. Clicking on "project" allows for the audio to play with the entire project, however when i "share" the project to mepg4-hd the main segments audio goes mute again and my finished product is ruined.
Sometimes this will happen other times it will not. Also after the conversion process to mpeg4 hd has finished i can play the project in the editor with all audio, however when i play the mp4 it has produced the audio from the main segment it mute..
I have never used any video editing software and I have a Video issue I want to shoot video with a Nikon D3100 DSLR in either 720P or 1080P. The camera produces MOV format (see more at the end of the post). I want to record the audio on a Zoom H4 digital recorder (see more at the end of the post.)
I want to combine the audio from the H4 and the video from the Nikon and have them in sync. The vid is of musicians so I need the video of the musicans hands syncing properly with the music they are playing. This will be shot in a "studio" situation. Not a concert.
I will ask the main quesitons first then give some tech specs on the gear.
1) Can the Corel X3 or X4 video software remove the audio from the MOV file and replace it with either the WAV or MP3 from the Zoom H4?
2) With two different devices recording audio and video, will there will be some differences in sync that have to be corrected?
3) Can Corel make adjustments to the audio speed without changing pitch if I need to do that to sync the audio to the video?
4) The H4 can record in WAV or Mp3 in a variety of bitrates. Forgetting the audio quality, does the WAV or MP3 format make a difference as far as syncing goes?
5) If all of this can be done in Corel does it make a difference if I get the X4 or the less expensive X3 software. At least at this point the only extras I would be adding is a title.

The Zoom H4 can record in either WAV or MP3 in a variety of bitrates, including 44.1, 48 and 96kHz.
I am creating video in FLV (custome mode). The only audio compression option is PCM which makes video too big.
How do I add different audio compression codec for FLV video? With other video formats/codecs mpeg-4 I have many moore audio compression options, but not for FLV.
I've edited together some PAL SD video clips, that I copied and pasted from my Sony DCR-SX53ES camcorder, and auto-generated music and when I preview the project through the edit screen everything is okay. I then selected Create Video File and DVD and the output file completed successfully, however, when I play back the file both the original audio from the video clips and the added music are out of sync with the video pictures by about 4 seconds.
This did not happen the previous time I used X4 with the same camcorder and on the same PC, how to correct it.
I just downloaded the VideoStudio X5 Trial, and want to crop a 10-minute video of my baby to the minute she's singing. Her grandparents would love it.
I noticed that when I imported the video into the timeline, the audio was about 0.75s ahead of the video, when in "Project" mode. In "Clip" mode it looked/sounded fine. When I render the video, it also has the same sync problem as in "Project" mode.

I have been trying to capture both Video and Audio in Video Studio Pro X4. I have a program called Diamond One-Touch Video Capture V500 that uses a USB connection for the Video and Stereo output from my Sony Handycam Digital 8 Model DCR-TRV740. The one touch software works well to capture both the Video and Audio, however, I was hoping when I purchased the Corel Video Studio Pro X4, that I would be able to record both video and audio with the capture feature, since V500 Video shows under sources in the capture screen.why the Video Studio will not record the audio while the One Touch Video program will?

im trying to capture in VS x4 but i only get audio. no video is coming up on my capture screen but if i record, the recording will show video... video just wont show up in the capture screen inside VS x4.. i read where people couldnt see video if they were trying to capture DV and some were told to get windv or someother program to get the video but im not trying to capture dv.. im trying to capture video with my tv capture card, avertv hybrid volar max.. it captures the audio thru the vd x4 capture screen but not the video although if i do a recording both audio and video will play in the mpg.. why cant i see the video in the capture screen?

I purchased (USB-Live 2) to convert VHS tapes to DVD. I initially purchased "Ulead VideoStudio 11" to capture and edit video, but the software wouldn't work. I received the following messages: "cannot start the capture graph" or "cannot capture: copy protected material". I was unable to receive a solution from the Hauppauge tech people or the corel tech people, therefore I purchased the Pinnacle studio 12 software and their Dazzle DVC 100 capture device.
Using the "USB-Live 2" device and Pinnacle Studio 12 as my capture software and Ulead VideoStudio 11 to edit and burn, I successfully converted about 100 VHS tapes to DVD disks. Then the Audio would not sync. What happens is that for about 5 minutes the audio will be out of sync, then something happens and the audio will re-sync and stay in sync until the end of the project. But, with the next tape I try to capture the same problem occurs.When in capture mode I can start capture and let it record for about 5 minutes, then, start the tape in the VCR and the audio will be in sync. I wiped the Hard drive and reloaded Windows XP and all of my programs. I also replaced the sound card, but I still have the same problem. I think the problem is with the Hauppauge USB-Live 2 capture device. If I use the Dazzle DV100 there is no sync problem, just a lot of dropped frames.Also, now when I am capturing the video I have no audio but when I edited the project the audio will be on. When I installed the New Sound Card I disabled the onboard HD Audio and it is still disabled.The following are my computer specs.

I'm using Corel VideoStudio X4. I'm facing problem that there is no any audio for any type of video playing. AVI, MP4.. any type of file I play, no audio plays.. All files are checked & plays correctly in any video player, GOM, VLC player etc...
No problem with video files. there is no audio for sample files provided by corel itself. When I play mp3 like audio files, sound plays perfectly. But some problem with video files only... I edited one file but no audio for that file also when I play edited clip in video player like VLC.
PC Configuration:
Windows 7 Ultimate.
HP DV6 laptop. 1GB graphic card, i5 2nd Gen.
After i import video files - and try to play them in Video Studio - the video is not smooth (i jitters) and the audio is not in sync with the video.When i play the same video file in windows media player they play well. The Videos are in full HD (.m2ts) format.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to capture video from a VHS/DVD machine using an EasyCap (2.0 I think). I'm able to get video but it's pulling the audio from my computer's mic. I investigated settings and found that 1) the format resets to MPEG if I set it on DVD and 2) when I go into Options > Video and Audio Capture... and select the only option in the drop-down for Audio device that says USB, the program crashed. I opened it back up and saw that it was still set on USB for the Audio device, but when testing I didn't get the video's audio. I'm new to capturing video this way, am I missing something? I double checked that the cables are plugged in correctly.
