View 2 Repliessome time ago I was "suddenly"troubled that my Sony A77 Arw files dit not show up in Lr 3 no more. I recently upgraded to 5.2 but same problem. On the same laptop they do show up in PSE 12 strangely enough.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to get the cameraraw adjustment dcp files to show in lr5.2 they worked great in lr3.
What should I do(I use qpcard 203) ?
When using LR3 to create DNG files from my RAW files, those files would show me thumbnails of my image in Windows Explorer. I am running Windows/7 (64) and have installed a CODEC from "Fast Picture Viewer" that allows thumbnails from RAW & DNG files to be shown. It seems, however, that the thumbnails do not show for DNG's created with LR4.
To Remedy this I uninstalled the CODEC. Downloaded the most recent version and installed it but this did not fix the problem.
I then went to the user forum for the CODEC product and searched for my problem. I found a thread who's solution is to turn off "Embed Fast Load Data" when exporting to DNG and it fixes the problem. I tried this and indeed it did fix it. The responder went on to say ".....When this option is enabled the files created are no longer DNGs (just an undocumented private format of Adobe that no one else can read to this date)". This statement surprised me as it is counter to what I understand Adobe created DNG to be. Can I get some input on this comment as if true it is very troubling.
My second question is that I see where to turn off the "Embed Fast Load Data" in the LR Export module, but where do I do the same thing in the Import module when I'm selecting import mode "Copy to DNG"?
If indeed the DNG files created by LR4 are proper DNG files and this CODEC is just flawed in some way, any better way to allow image thumbnails to be shown in Windows Explorer?
Is there an easy way to show all files in a catalog not currently assigned to ANY (non-smart) collection?
Can i set up a Smart Collection to do this?
Lightroom doesn't import my GPS data - it is there in the RAW (NEF) and jpeg files but doesn't show in the Metadata within Lightroom. Nikon View NX shows the data but I want to use Lightroom!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using Lightroom for years and am using LR4 now and have just run into this issue:
One of my DNG color files shows up in the Library as Black & White. I look on my backup files and this file shows as color. When I import the backup into LR4 it also shows up as Black & White in the Library?
I have a Fuji X-e1 and the latest update of LR 4.4 running on 10.6.8, 16GB RAM, all OS software up to date.
The problem is my Fuji RAW files don't show the correct lens profile in the Develop module. The only choice available to choose is for Fuji X100 (which I've never owned or shot). The metadata in the Library module is correct for both the lens and camera, and also shows correctly in Bridge.
However, with the same software on a friend's Macbook Pro -- also 10.6.8, LR 4.4, etc. -- the lens profile correctly allows for the X-e1 and 18mm lens auto-correction.
I uninstalled LR on the desktop using an uninstaller called Zap It, downloaded 4.4, reinstalled and still the same 'error'.
Lightroom 4 doesn´t show video files from my Nikon D5000.
It crashes: Load Library failed with error 126: Das angegebene Modul wurde nicht gefunden.
I have WIN7 64bit.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI need to be able to see those files having the PS extension outside Photoshop in file managers like Picasa. All I see there is a little black rectangle with a notice.
At one time, there existed a way to defeat PS from reserving .psd to only itself, and I don't think those earlier scripts work in CS3, nor do I even have them any more. Any suggestions besides converting to tiff?
Sometime in the past few days my files that have been made with Fireworks will not show up when I use Bridge. They used to show up just fine so I don't know why they suddenly won't show up now. how to fix this so they will show up like they used to?

And on the ones it did keep, it added .pc3 to the end. How can I get it to find the actual printers again and not just the .pc3 files?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using PSE 2. When I go to "file - open" , no files are displayed. This happens for any folder I navigate to in the "look in " box. I know there are files in these folders. If I manually enter the file name in "file name" field the picture will load. Changing the file type does not work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded from cs5 to cs6, I have downloaded upgrades for photoshop, bridge, camera raw, and adobe dng converter.
My problem is that the raw dng, and raf raw files from my fuji x-e1 camera are showing up in bridge as icons only, and not as thumbnails. How do I get the files to show as thumbnails. if I double click they will open in camera raw and i can see the pic there.
I am working with files from an architect and when I open a file with xrefs they all have these big crosshair/boxes all over them. I can choos edit in [lace and delete the crosshairs but there are a lot of xrefs and it will take for ever. They are not on the original drawings that I can see. One with crosshairs and one without.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not able to see or open Raw files from my Canon 40D in either Photoshop CS3 or Bridge CS3. At first I was able to open RAWS in Photoshop and then I followed directions on the internet at how to manually replace a Camera Raw Plugin so I could open it in Bridge and now neither of the apps work with RAW. In photoshop It says that the file is not supported.
I looked up what plug in I needed and it said 4.2 for a Canon 40 D. I also followed the instructions in the read me file that was with the plugin download. No results from it. I even tried to switch it back to the old plug in to see if I could atleast get back the capiblility of opening it in Photoshop even though bridge was not working...still can't open it in either. What am I missing?
Yes (Command I) is a quick fix to this issue but wondering why the default is set as invert?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI had a problem with bridge CS6 dynamic link failing and had tech support finally discuss the problem by phone They had me reinstall PSCS6 and Bridge among other things like setting the permissions differenty. It worked ok when I opened it again after those changes and then I closed the apps and opened them again the next day (today) but now the CR files will show no thumbnails nor previews in bridge and will not load into PSCS6. I get now the following error messages
These are files that are on my system and not from a camera plugged into the computer. They had worked just fine before the reinstall and permisisons changes the tech had me do. They open in the preview app and look fine so I know they are not corrupted files and I have tried different saved versions of the same (or any other CR file) and none of them will now open and Camera raw itself seems no where to be found. My prefences in camera raw have not clanged.
I tried image processor in bridge to make them PS files and got the following error message.I tried to load one of the CR files from the finder dirretly and got the following error message.
We reinstalled Windows 7 64bit to Windows 7 32bit and now all previously created Corel Draw X5 files in Win 7 64bit did not show correct fonts in Win 7 32 bit. All fonts are installed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use a non-PSP screencap program to grab pics and save them in the PNG format. But when I open them in PSP the Image Dimensions are in metric (milimeters, ppcm) instead of US Standard (inches, ppi).
I haven't been able to find a solution in PSP's General Program or File Format Preferences.
When I first started, I noticed that EVERY time I started Acad (Civil 3d 2012 or Arch 2012), the MRU list showed nothing but DST files. If I opened a dwg, it would get added to the top of the MRU list. But then the next time I loaded acad, there would once again be no dwg files--just dst files.
I thought that maybe the profile where the MRU list is stored was being overwritten by a backup (maybe the mgmt here wanted to ensure the profile remained "standard"). But then I noticed that when I open a dst file that was not on the MRU list, it gets added to the MRU list and STAYS THERE when I close the Acad session and is still there the next time I start Acad.
Now the difference between my issue and the other thread (at least as far as I can tell), is that I think they're saying that as dst files are opened, the dwg file(s) get pushed out of the list. But most of the dst files I'm seeing in the list are there from before I started.

I have Inventor 2014 installed on my computer. My O/S is Windows 7 Ultimate. The problem I am experiencing is that when I open the tutorial files and click to open a file such as VBelts.iam or bearing.iam, the preview of the item will show in the tutorial files dialog box. But, when I click to open it in the graphics area, nothing appears. At the bottom of the graphic screen it will say that the particular file such as VBelts.iam has been selected. I have tried every solution I can think of including making sure in the browser that visibility is on. The problem didn't occur in the previous tutorials. When I clicked open in the dialog box it worked as it should. The problem first occured when I tried to open SkeletonBase.ipt and has continued in the next few tutorials.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having an odd problem in AI CS6, and I first want to try trashing my preferences file, but I can't find it (sounding dumb). When searching, I ran across references to user/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS6 Settings/en_US/ but I can't find that either (sounding even dumber). I see users/ myname/ but no library/preferences. I try users/myname/roaming/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator CS 6 settings /en_us/x64 but nothing there gives me a file folder or a file named preferences (can't feel any dumber). BTW, I am using the file options Show Hidden Files and Show Extensions, and I'm running PC Windows on a 64-bit machine.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt doesn't matter what file I open, none of my layers show up any more. All I get is a white background. And if I hide every single layer you would think I'd see the checkboard background. Nope! Not even that appears. My colleague tried opening up my files on his copy of CS6 and the files work fine. I've checked and my version of Photoshop CC is up-to-date.
