It doesn't matter what file I open, none of my layers show up any more. All I get is a white background. And if I hide every single layer you would think I'd see the checkboard background. Nope! Not even that appears. My colleague tried opening up my files on his copy of CS6 and the files work fine. I've checked and my version of Photoshop CC is up-to-date.
View 2 RepliesEvery once in a while I print that has two side-by-side images on one piece of paper. My usual routine is to create a new document that is larger than the two images--say, 10x8 (horizontal) with a transparent background and the same resolution as the two images that I'll be placing on the canvas (say, two 4x3's). Then I simply click on the image I want to move and drag it from its layers palette onto the blank background canvas, and move/edit/size as needed.
when I drag an image over to the blank canvas, it assumes the size of the entire canvas. so I just have the image... enlarged. With no background canvas. when I click on the new image (the one dragged to the canvas), all of the editing commands are grayed out. So I cannot resize or move it.I'm on CS5 (mac)
MOST of my mov. files are opening in imageready as a "BLANK WHITE" movies with sound, but some are opening normal.

All of them work on windows media player but I've heard that a lot of it has to work on QuickTime.
I've already updated the program but it still won't work. A friend of mine also told me that it might be the format of the video. Is there anything I could do to fix this?
I just installed Smoke Ext 1. I noticed that all of my source files on an existing job, that are H264, don't show up...they just have a black screen with audio.
Is H264 not compatible with Smoke?
I try to put it on the blank canvas and it won't. Nothing pops up saying it can't. It just won't go on the canvas.

One of my DNG color files shows up in the Library as Black & White. I look on my backup files and this file shows as color. When I import the backup into LR4 it also shows up as Black & White in the Library?

I click on the text tool, click on the canvas and try to type, but it doesn't actually type; it just operates all the shortcuts assigned to the keys that I've pressed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I downloaded 3ds Max 2014 trial from autodesk. It worked without any problems for a week. It all started when I updated my Nvidia 630M with a WHQL certified graphics driver. When I opened Max after the driver update it closed with an application error which said that, an error has occurred and the application will now close.
Made a complete uninstall of max, plugins and graphics driver. But it had the same problem. Now it opens after a product update. But viewport is completly white. If I open any file it crashes. Tried changing the viewport renderer from Nitrous to Direct 3d and Open GL. But it doesn't even start and gives the same application error. It all happens only if I opened max with graphics card both with the old and the newer driver. It works fine with the integrated graphics.
dxdiag works fine and the report says that there are no problems.

I have a scan of a book I need to read for school. The professor scanned the book face down so each page is two pages of the book and it is rotated clockwise of how it should be read. I am trying to get some kind of OCR to work on it, so I want to get each page of the book separate. The goal is to get to the point where I can read and underline text on my Kindle.
Here's where paint.net comes in. I have already taken screen shots of the pdf and split the pages into separate images using ctrl+alt+V so they are already split. Now I am trying to make them all stacked on top of each other like say a Word document would be. I cannot figure out how to expand the canvas to allow the image I want to paste in to show up. It only shows up on top of the image that is already there. I can expand the canvas, but anywhere the new image crosses outside the perimeter of the one already there, it only shows the gray checkered pattern.
Ive built a website to sell makeup and cosmetics and am currently in the process of photographing every item to get the products on the site.
I take the pics on a white card background, in GIMP I need to basically 'cut out' the product and copy and paste it on to a blank white template. By using a template all my pics should be the same size once uploaded on to my site.
Whenever I create a shape on my canvas, or I use a shape as a clipping mask, the entire canvas blacks out and I can't see anything until I click off to the side, in the workspace, so none of my layers are selected. This has happened when I have dropped items onto my canvas and am moving them around, as well.
View 3 Replies View Related've been having this annoying problem with CS6 where every now and then no matter what I click, nothing would happen. I try clicking tools, layers, brushing something on the canvas and nothing happens. Even when I try to close the window i am using nothing happens. When I roll over the X the colors light up and everything but nothing happens (same when I roll over tools and swatches).
Can't close or minimize anything. I've noticed it happening more often when I work on big files over 80mb. The only thing I can do is use shortcut keys to save whatever I have, quit photoshop and reopen again. Sometimes I have to reopen more than once. It also happens a lot when I minimize PS and browse the web for a bit and come back. It's so annoying, and I worry that one day I won't even be able to use shortcut keys or access the top menus.
I have a Macbook Pro with OS X Mavericks. I recently updated to Mavericks, but even with the OS I had before that (10.7) I still had this same problem.

It is as if the comupter does not recognize it as part of the screen. My mouse will jump over the bar and I cannot type or select anything inside it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever I attempt to marquee select (click-hold and drag a box) in Viewport 2.0, the viewport becomes a blank white screen and instead of drawing a box my mouse draws a single thick line. When I release the mouse, the viewport will not return to normal until I move the camera. It actually does perform the selection that I would expect. However, not being able to see what I'm doing is a bit of a pain sometimes.
The irony is that it actually works fine in default and high quality modes, but I'm not able to use those because the transparency sorting is really wonky and doesn't let me see what I'm trying to work on from the angles that I need. Only Viewport 2.0 solves that problem.
I have a image that has everything on the background layer. I want to delete some text and replace them with different text. But when i use the selection tool to delete the text, i just get a white/black check box area. How do i delete a portion of the picture and replace it with white blank space?
Oh and how do i adjust the size of the text box when inserting new text?
