Lightroom 4 doesn´t show video files from my Nikon D5000.
It crashes: Load Library failed with error 126: Das angegebene Modul wurde nicht gefunden.
I have WIN7 64bit.
The library module in the version 4.3 of Lightroom does not show all the images. They are marked with gray boxes instead of images. This is especially true of the images which I tried to import to Lightroom since I downloaded 4.3 a few weeks ago. If I want to seen an image, I have to go to the develop module to see it.

One of my DNG color files shows up in the Library as Black & White. I look on my backup files and this file shows as color. When I import the backup into LR4 it also shows up as Black & White in the Library?
I have a problem with loading the paint layers on my object.
I created an object in another software and then imported it into Mudbox. Here I started painting the object, but when I close and re-open Mudbox I get the error: "Failed to load texture files both ... and ..." (my two paint layers). I had this same error two days ago on a similar object, when I moved only the ".mud" file to a different location, but then I realized I need to move also the ".bak" file and the folder containing the layers into that new location and the error was solved. This time, the .mud, .bak and the folder are all in the same location, they all have the same name but I still get the error. When I open Mudbox I just get my object as it was when I imported it, with no painting on it (even though the two paint layers appear in the "Layers" tab), and with the error mentioned above.
Lightroom doesn't import my GPS data - it is there in the RAW (NEF) and jpeg files but doesn't show in the Metadata within Lightroom. Nikon View NX shows the data but I want to use Lightroom!

Now when I select video capture I get the following message:
failed to initialize the video capture plugin
Open driver failed

cannot create the video capture filter
I have just installed card (SAA7130 TV PCI card) with latest drivers excluding the software so Video Studio 12 pro is the only capture software on the machine . I also re-installed both card and Video Studio after doing a complete system restore and used CC cleaner to remove any residual data before re-installing.
I need to use video capture within the Video Studio software as I need to use the scene detection functionality.The reason I had to change the card in the first place is that video studio only allowed me to capture in AVI 320x240 and gave 'capture failed' errors with anything else.

The operating system is windows 7 64 bit. I have "Magix movie edit pro 17" and "Cyberlink Video Director" and both of these programs work with the same device and capture. Neather one of these applications are running while using Video Studio. I checked and nothing else is utilizing this USB WDM 2860 device. I reinstalled the software, installed the patches, and uninstalled the USB drivers and reinstalled them.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently began using lightroom and stored the files on the local drive of my macbook pro (current os) until I ran out of space. Exported the catalogue to an external HD, then deleted the files from the local drive. As I tried to import the .lrcat file associated with the export to the external HD and received this error:
"Can not import from this catalog at this time. The catalog is either in use by another copy of Lightroom or was closed improperly. If it was closed improperly, please consider doing an integrity check when opening."
I am not running LR on any other computers so I figure Lightroom was "closed improperly".

View 9 Replies View RelatedA few days ago I was importing photos (RAW to DNG) and my computer locked. i had to reboot, and ever since when i import photos they will not load (preview) in Library. Also Histogram just reads "calculating", but no graph loads in. If I go to develop, the photo will load in, and I can export it with no issue. I just can't view photos in Library. also, photos imported prior to that event will load in and can be viewed in Library. Just nothing going forward. My OS is Vista and i'm running Lightroom 4.4
View 3 Replies View RelatedI had a problem with bridge CS6 dynamic link failing and had tech support finally discuss the problem by phone They had me reinstall PSCS6 and Bridge among other things like setting the permissions differenty. It worked ok when I opened it again after those changes and then I closed the apps and opened them again the next day (today) but now the CR files will show no thumbnails nor previews in bridge and will not load into PSCS6. I get now the following error messages
These are files that are on my system and not from a camera plugged into the computer. They had worked just fine before the reinstall and permisisons changes the tech had me do. They open in the preview app and look fine so I know they are not corrupted files and I have tried different saved versions of the same (or any other CR file) and none of them will now open and Camera raw itself seems no where to be found. My prefences in camera raw have not clanged.

I need to add a hatch fill polyline area but leave the text island out. What I did is put put Polyline ID and Text island ID into an ObjectIDCollection. The code doesn't throw any error but I can't see the hatch.

I've never had problems doing this with Lightroom 3, just upgraded to Lightroom 4 and I can't seem to export anything. I also can't publish either.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to 3.5 from 3.4.1 I received this error when attempting to publish new photos to my harddisk. First I thought the problem may be related to access rights. I am running Win7, 64 bit. So I reset the read/write rights in the export folder and the LR catalogue and AppData folders. No success. Then I opened a new cataloge and imported the old one in order to start "from scratch" - no success, publishing collections were not importet. Finally I switched back to version 3.4.1, and ... it works again

I just signed up to the PhotoShop & Lightroom Cloud. Photoshop installed OK But Lightroom fails to instal. It give 2 errors:

I am trying to instal on a Macbook Pro 2010 running OS-X 10.6.8 with 8 GB of RAM and 535 GB of free hard disk space. I have tried the installation process twice to no avail. Currently running version 4.4 of Lightroom without a hitch.
Lightroom Library does not see a subfolder in the Finder. It sees and has imported all the other subfolders. The subfolder shows up fine in the Finder and in Bridge. How do I get Library to see it?

I try to import photos into lightroom, but it indicates that they are already imported and they supposedly exist in a particular folder. However, that folder is not showing in my library. Is there a way to correct this? The photo is there but they only way I can see it is to search for it and it will appear.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I first started, I noticed that EVERY time I started Acad (Civil 3d 2012 or Arch 2012), the MRU list showed nothing but DST files. If I opened a dwg, it would get added to the top of the MRU list. But then the next time I loaded acad, there would once again be no dwg files--just dst files.
I thought that maybe the profile where the MRU list is stored was being overwritten by a backup (maybe the mgmt here wanted to ensure the profile remained "standard"). But then I noticed that when I open a dst file that was not on the MRU list, it gets added to the MRU list and STAYS THERE when I close the Acad session and is still there the next time I start Acad.
Now the difference between my issue and the other thread (at least as far as I can tell), is that I think they're saying that as dst files are opened, the dwg file(s) get pushed out of the list. But most of the dst files I'm seeing in the list are there from before I started.

I occasionaly edit nudes on my home computer, where my kids have access. Is there a way to keep these images hidden, their location hidden or have them not show in the library thumbnails?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm having a serious problem with the thumbnails in Library/Grid mode taking anywhere from 5-10 seconds to "pop in" the adjustments I've made in develop and/or via the quick develop tab. I need to quickly see if large batches of images are similar in color/exposure, and I've always used the Grid to compare them in bulk. Now it seems the previews refuse to update unless I hover over that image for an extended period of time. I've even tried jumping back and forth between Develop (in order to update the preview) and Library, but 8 times out of 10 it reverts to the old preview. I have tried:
1) Clearing my cache
2) Expanding the cache size from 3 GB to 10 GB to 40 GB with no avail
3) Optimizing the catalog
4) Updating Lightroom & Camera Raw
5) Removing Luminance/Sharpen adjustments from all the images
6) Reducing Preview size/quality
7) Using Smart Previews
Because of the sheer numbe of images I work with, I have to store them on an external drive, not my Mac (3.06 GHz Intel Core i3 and 16 GB DDR3 memory). Even when I edit images locally on the machine, I have this problem. All of my software and drives are up to date, and I've got around 90 GB free on my system. making my adjustments on faith and then "re-updating" the previews...but deleting the Smart Previews/Previews and recreating them doesn't seem to fix the problem.
How can this possibly happen? The section Apply During Import in the import dialog screen has a field for Develop Settings, but this field says None, so nothing should happen to the photos during import. So why do the display in B&W in Library?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to show only the lowest level of folders in my LR LIbrary module. Used to do that but somehow got changed. Now shows parent folder, 2nd and 3rd levels. If I uncheck INCLUDE SUBFOLDERS it just gives me a zero photo count for the parent but still shows the folder and I still ahve to click levels to get to the photos. If I right click on parent folder....someone said to click Promote Subfolders......I do ot have this choice!
