I am using PSE 2. When I go to "file - open" , no files are displayed. This happens for any folder I navigate to in the "look in " box. I know there are files in these folders. If I manually enter the file name in "file name" field the picture will load. Changing the file type does not work.

Sometime in the past few days my files that have been made with Fireworks will not show up when I use Bridge. They used to show up just fine so I don't know why they suddenly won't show up now. how to fix this so they will show up like they used to?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded from cs5 to cs6, I have downloaded upgrades for photoshop, bridge, camera raw, and adobe dng converter.
My problem is that the raw dng, and raf raw files from my fuji x-e1 camera are showing up in bridge as icons only, and not as thumbnails. How do I get the files to show as thumbnails. if I double click they will open in camera raw and i can see the pic there.
I am not able to see or open Raw files from my Canon 40D in either Photoshop CS3 or Bridge CS3. At first I was able to open RAWS in Photoshop and then I followed directions on the internet at how to manually replace a Camera Raw Plugin so I could open it in Bridge and now neither of the apps work with RAW. In photoshop It says that the file is not supported.
I looked up what plug in I needed and it said 4.2 for a Canon 40 D. I also followed the instructions in the read me file that was with the plugin download. No results from it. I even tried to switch it back to the old plug in to see if I could atleast get back the capiblility of opening it in Photoshop even though bridge was not working...still can't open it in either. What am I missing?
Yes (Command I) is a quick fix to this issue but wondering why the default is set as invert?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI had a problem with bridge CS6 dynamic link failing and had tech support finally discuss the problem by phone They had me reinstall PSCS6 and Bridge among other things like setting the permissions differenty. It worked ok when I opened it again after those changes and then I closed the apps and opened them again the next day (today) but now the CR files will show no thumbnails nor previews in bridge and will not load into PSCS6. I get now the following error messages
These are files that are on my system and not from a camera plugged into the computer. They had worked just fine before the reinstall and permisisons changes the tech had me do. They open in the preview app and look fine so I know they are not corrupted files and I have tried different saved versions of the same (or any other CR file) and none of them will now open and Camera raw itself seems no where to be found. My prefences in camera raw have not clanged.

It doesn't matter what file I open, none of my layers show up any more. All I get is a white background. And if I hide every single layer you would think I'd see the checkboard background. Nope! Not even that appears. My colleague tried opening up my files on his copy of CS6 and the files work fine. I've checked and my version of Photoshop CC is up-to-date.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Canon Rebel T3. I switch the camera's white balance depending on the lighting. But when i go to review the files, nothing in the metadata shows what white balance I shot it in. This applies to both jpeg and raw pictures.
It would be nice to see this info so I can compare which settings looked better.

In PSE6 I could see tags for each photo at a glance. In PSE11 the tags are all at the side and it takes a lot of eye movement to see tags assigned to each picture one at a time as they are selected. I prefer the PSE6 arrangement. Can I do it in PSE11?

When I open these files in the Editor and save the dited version, they show up in the Organizer, but I cannot get any of the others in this folder to show up. View 2 Replies View RelatedPSE 8, Windows XP.I have a large file of photos of ferns. They are in tiff format. I have tagged them with categories and subcategories. Wanting a separate file of the same photos in jpg format I did the following:
1. I selected all the photos in the folder and went to file|write keyword tags and properties into photos.
2. I exported the 900+ photos to a new folder keeping names intact but changing from tiff to jpg
3. I went to file|get folders from files and folders
4. I found the folder and got it.
5. PSE imported the photos into the catalog first asking me if I wanted to import the tags. I checked select all
6. PSE shows the thumbnails but there are no tag icons and if I select a tag from the tags list, it finds the photo for the tiff photo but not the jpg photo.
The videos are there, but I just get the hourglass picture. If I doubleclick them, they'll play just fine. But I have no way of quickly scanning thumbnails to pick a movie.
While we're on the subject of thumbnails, I can only see thumbnails for my pictures if I make them larger. If I try to make the thumbnails smaller, they just won't ever show up. I have about 1800 video clips (very few longer than 1 minute), and about 10,000 pictures.
