Photoshop Elements :: Can't Get All Of 3rd Party Plugins To Show Up In 12
Nov 2, 2013
I just upgraded from PSE 10 to 12. I was able to get my NIK and my Topaz folders to show up under the filters menu, but not my Alien Skin (Bokeh 2) folder
On my MAC the Photoshop CS5 plugins in my plugin folder do not show in the filter menu, i.e, "lighting effects"? What am I doing wrong? Is there something I must do to install or activate them?
This is a question regarding Elelments 11 and embedding ICC profiles. I have succesfully set up a colour balanced system for printing on my own premises. At the time of printing I select the relevant ICC profile for the printer/ink combo I am using. However I need to send files way for larger sizes and want to ensure colour correct prints that match as closely as possible the prints I produce in my own studio.
How do I embed the third parties provided ICC profile in the file before sending to them?
I have installed some redfield plugins and ensured that theyre in the correct 64bit folder.. i open it and there they are.. however photoshop cc doesnt show them in filters?
How do I get my plugins to work in elements 12? I have them in elements 7. Trying to get them to show up under the filter key like they do in elements 7. I know it has some thing to do with preferences. I have Nic and Topez.
I am on an iMac meeting all of the LR4 spec requirements and then some. I just installed the release copy of LR4 this morning and have been playing around with it. I just discovered that the "Edit in" feature does not work at all. This worked fine in my previous version of LR 2.6
When I click on "Edit in" Adobe Elements 10 or Topaz Fusion Express (to call up Adjust or B&W Effects) nothing happens. No error message. No popup. Nada. I went back to my prior version of LR and things still work there.
I also tried the "Edit in" Elements option on my Windows 7 PC 64 bit version of LR4 and at least with Elements it seems to work. I have not installed Fusion Express on the PC yet so I don't know if that works or not.
i am having a problem with my registration, when adobe photoshop sc3 loads up it asks me to "never register, register later or register now". i can not seem to press any buttons, they do nothing. i have had this problem before with adobe acrobat, all i done with that is edit the registary.
I use third party plug-ins from two different companies and they all worked during my PSCC trail period, but now PS won't recognize any of them. I've tried re-installing them using the custom install process, but they still don't work.
I am trying to install the Kodak DigitalROCProv2.8bf filter in Photoshop CC. I got it to work in PSE 11 and 12 buy setting the additional plug-ins path. Their support is useless, so that's why I am trying here.
I Installed Photoshop CS5 on my Computer.Went to a Third Party Obsidian Dawn Website Dowmloaded Skin Texture Brushes. Unziped the File to a Brush Folder. In the Brush Folder I Copied the Skin Texture Brushes.arb.Went to Drive C Left Click on It.

Then Pasted Skin Texture Brushes.arb in to Brushes.I Opened up Photoshop CS5 Left Click on Brushes.Viewed the Brush Listings the Skin Texture Brushes Displayed they all Worked just Fine.I Had to Reboot My Computer. Then Reinstalled Photoshop SC5.Installed the Third Party Download as Mention Above. Then I Instaled Skin Texture Brushes.arb as Mention Above.
I Viewed the Brush Listings the Skin Texture Brushes Did Not Display.I Tried Several Times but no Results
where I need to create a custom menu item on the photoshop menu bar, display a pop-up window with some text box fields on click of the menu item and capture the values from the pop-up and pass iton to some 3rd party tool to do some processing. Is this all just possible without using Photoshop SDK and just by using some scripting?
My previous version of PhotoShop was CS5, and I have my photography logos created using the font "chisel thin".
Now that I have a new macbook pro laptop and am also now using the cloud version of PhotoShop CS6, when I open my saved logos on the cloud, it does not recognize the font "chisel thin"? So, is there a way to download the "chisel thin" font so it is available for me to use on the cloud? If so, how do I go about doing it? I'm not super tech savy, so clear, exact detailed instructions on how to download / update the "chisel thin" font
I would like to know what the best tool/filter/whatever is for knocking out backgrounds in image files. The classic dropping out of backgrounds around hair, trees, etc., etc.,
I've noticed that a number of my third-party filters (Alien Skin Exposure, SilverEfex Pro and Topaz Simplify) are not available in CS4 since I upgraded to Mountain Lion. I can still run them in Lightroom.
I have reinstalled Exposure and did so with Mountain Lion's gatekeeper disabled. This made no difference so I thun completed uninstalled this plugin and reinstalled again from scratch and it made no difference.
The plugins that aren't available all appear to be installed in the Applications folder.Basically each of the plugins is greyed-out in the menu bar and if I try to run them from a palette (SilverEfex) I get an error message “The command SilverEfex Pro 2 is not available”
I just added 3 new blue fx transition packages to VS Pro X4 and have others to add ( boris, canopus, adorage).... I noticed that the first 2 new blue packages ( 3d explosions and 3d transformations) were successfully added to their own category in the drop down list of transition effects, so now the list includes the new blue sampler that Corel provided, and both these additional packages. When I added the third package New Blue Paint Blends, it did not appear in its own category but the effects are present when you click on "all".... ( which is a nuisance to search through). I'm wondering if the problem that existed in VS2 where by there were a limited number of transition categories you could have is still a problem in VS pro X4 or whether this is an issue just for Paint Blends. I'd like to know before I add on the other packages... I hate for all the effects ( 100s of them) to end up in my "all" list.
Also is there any way to manipulate this list... and force a location?? I can only see that all the effects are listed individually in the Vfx_plug folder.
I have an idw that will not check in because a 3rd party file is missing. When I expand the browser, I see this file "barGrate&.bmp" that is missing. I can delete everything out of the idw and this third part app node is still there.
How do I delete this, or find what is referencing it. I can't check the idw in until this is corrected.
I have VS Pro 3.I have some Digital Juice Editor's Toolkits also. I read some of the postings and did the export of the wipe to AVI which looks good. So how do I install that as my transition effect.
I have an assembly I wish to forward to a contractor. It is only small - containing some basic FEA (213 KB). What is the easiest, most effective way to do this? Pack and Go?
I just installed the drivers for an Epson 4900. The new profiles don't show up in the color management in the print module. I'm using a Mac with mountain lion.
I spent almost more time wattching element updating all the time - than workin with it. But nevertheless it WILL NOT show more than half of the pictures in a new map. Pathfinder shoes 136 files in it - and elements show 52 of the.
