My NRW files on my coolpix camera won't show in Gimp (only the jpeg images can be shown and manipulated). Is there a download I should get that would allow me to use the NRW files?
View 1 RepliesI down loaded a movie from a COOLPIX AW100 camera to PRO X4, it is a *.mov file, in AVC, MPG4, 29.97 frames/sec format.
When I ran it, it appeared to be jumpy, so I when went frame by frame, I noticed there were duplicate frames at the points were the hesitation occurred.
I have no problems with my FZ100 clips in H246/MPG4 .
A strange thing happens when I view it in WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER, it has NO duplicate frames, and appears smooth.
I can't seem to get the cameraraw adjustment dcp files to show in lr5.2 they worked great in lr3.
What should I do(I use qpcard 203) ?
I am not able to see or open Raw files from my Canon 40D in either Photoshop CS3 or Bridge CS3. At first I was able to open RAWS in Photoshop and then I followed directions on the internet at how to manually replace a Camera Raw Plugin so I could open it in Bridge and now neither of the apps work with RAW. In photoshop It says that the file is not supported.
I looked up what plug in I needed and it said 4.2 for a Canon 40 D. I also followed the instructions in the read me file that was with the plugin download. No results from it. I even tried to switch it back to the old plug in to see if I could atleast get back the capiblility of opening it in Photoshop even though bridge was not working...still can't open it in either. What am I missing?
I downloaded two scm files and copied them to /usr/share/gimp/2.0/scripts/. Now how do I get them to show up in the file->create->logomenu?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhat camera profile should or could I use for a Nikon Coolpix P510? There is no profile for that specific camera --- the only choice is a Coolpix P6000. My Nikon DSLR lens profiles are all there --- not the Coolpix.
The P510 has a 4.8-180mm f/3/3 - 5.9 lens; the P6000 profile uses a 6-24mm f/2.7-5.9 lens.
I am using lightroom 5 on a windows 8 pc and can not get any camera calibration profiles to show up. I have 14 profiles for my Sony SLT-A65 in my cameraprofiles folder and a corresponding camera folder with also has these profiles. I have checked all file attributes and the only thing I see differrent from some other camera profiles is the file ownership is adminisrator instead of system. Also Photoshop does not see any camera calibration profiles either. I have done a lightroom installation repair from original disk which didn't fix. I have all my lens profiles which work fine. I have tried renaming profiles from SLT-A65V to SLT-A65 to match what shows up on displayed file information.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Lightroom 4.3 and a Canon 6D. I cannot get Lightroom to display my Camera Calibration Profile when I am developing a raw file.
I have dug through the MAC Library and Application Support folder and found CameraRaw. That folder contains my listed cameras. But when I am in Lightroom, I do not see that profile in the Camera Calibration section.
Is there a way to force Lightroom to display my camera profile? Lightroom 2 used to display it.
GPS meta data does not show up when importing from a Sony a99 camera.

View 11 Replies View RelatedLooking forward to this update because i use a Fuji X pro 1 and I had read that lightroom 4.4 now supports this camera and sensor.
However after updating all I get in the Lens adjustment under Fuji is the Fuji x100 which has been their for some time.The exif info is showing the correct camera and lens used etc.
I have tried uninstalling and then manually removing any left over files and folders with no luck.
Do i have to install support for this camera as an addon?
Also if i look in the lightroom folder Camera profiles/camera it only lists Canon, Nikon and Sony

I see "Raw image data" under "Open > Select File Type", but grayscale isn't listed. Is the only option? Are there any add-ons for grayscale?
I have both GIMP and Digikam on my ArchLinux system.
I have set up the system so that it auto-mounts my camera when I plug it into a USB port, and I can read the images on its card using Digikam.
So far I have not been able to do this using Gimp - extensive searching using Google suggests that it should be possible File/Open/.. or File/Acquire..
I'm using MAC OSX.
I downloaded a font called Palace Script in ttf format. I found my fonts folder in Gimp and copied the font file to the fonts folder.
Then I restarted Gimp.
The font does not show up when I try to select it.
I also tried installing the font using the font manager and it installed, and I can only use it Pages.
I forgot to change my options for xmp sidecar files in bridge last time I installed it. For a good two months it's been saving xmp data in the camera raw database instead of in sidecar XMP files.
Now I need to move a whole bunch of raw files to a new computer and I don't want to lose all the camera raw adjustments. Is there a trick to write out the info it has in the database to XMP files along with the corresponding raw files?
If you have a photo where the camera was shaking at the time, and so there is a ghost image of the whole photo, is it possible to fix that in any way? I had a look online, and saw a link about using the Unsharp Mask filter in GIMP, but I couldn't do anything with it. I would have thought that as the ghost image is so far out, and quite a lot more faded, that something could be done.

I am using CS4, with Camera RAW 5.7 and Adobe DNG 5.7. These are the versions listed as compatible with CS4. I am using a new Canon Powershot S100. Can I use newer versions of the RAW/DNG with CS4?

View 5 Replies View RelatedAs the title says my 32-bit HDR files open as 8-bit in Camera Raw 7.3. I have a Win 7 32-bit system. I create the 32-bit HDR and then save it as a 32-bit TIFF but when I open it in PS CS6 via Camera Raw 7.3 it comes in as only 8-bit.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I just downloaded and installed Paint.Net and am ready to use it. I took a few test shots with my camera, which is a Nikon D90, in NEF (RAW) + JPEG mode.
Now here is my problem(s). First off, I can see the RAW image on my camera, however, when I try to open it in the Paint.Net editor, it does not even appear as being there. It does not recognize the file at all. Then also, if I try to use the JPEG format of the same photo, I get an error message "The image type is not recognized, and cannot be opened"
I have to first save the JPEG file to my computer and then I can open it with Paint.Net. And as of right now, I can not do anything with the RAW file so it sits on my camera's SD card.
I really want to start editing my photos a little more than I currently do and figured it was time to take the RAW dive.
