Oct 27, 2010I use the Selection/Move tool a lot in Illustrator, but this never happened in CS3 or CS4: If I select a mark or a shape to move a specific amount, click on the Selection arrow to specify the distance, using a minus sign if I want the object to move down-screen, when I click on OK, the object moves up-screen. Is this the new, improved, Illustrator? I mean, all right, I can get used to changes in conventions, but isn't this sort of an unlikely change? Aren't there other improvements to be made in the app? Is it me, or is it Illustrator?

Jun 3, 2013What is happening is whenever I use any transform tool in Photoshop it will freeze, the window won't go white like frozen windows normally do in W7 but it'll just sit there being completely unresponsive to clicks. The only way to quit is to go into the task manager. The other notable thing is whenever this happens I can't just restart Photoshop, I have to restart Windows completely! it even screws over other Adobe software, Dreamweaver won't work either once this error has occured.
Not only that but OpenGL never works anymore either, I can use Photoshop for like thirty minutes before OpenGL stops working. This one's obviously less intrusive but I still enjoy having the OpenGL features on.
The only other symptom I can think of is that once the issues start happening (or just before they're about to happen) the cursor will dart very quickly all over the screen. The actual clicks themselves will still happen in the right location but the visual cursor itself will constantly be moving, like half of the time it'll be in its right spot, the other half it'll be in a random position. I've tried unplugging both the tablet and the keyboard/mouse reciever but it still darts everywhere.
Everything else on the computer works fine, it's just Adobe software playing up.
I have tried:
- Adjusting performance options thoroughly
- Disabling graphic card features
- Reinstalling CS6
- Switching to 32 bit CS6
- Reverting back to CS5/CS3 (it still happens on those ones too)
- Trying four different versions of video drivers (320.18, 314.22, 310.70, 306.23)
- Reinstalling Windows 7

- Gigabyte GV-N56GOC-1GI Overclocked GTX 560 1GB
- Gigabyte H61M-S2P-B3 LGA1155
- Kingston 8gb 1333mhz ddr3
- Intel sandy bridge Quad-Core i52500K 3.3GHz

Photoshop :: CS5 Extended - Crop Tool Only Works In Automatic Way
Aug 13, 2011On my previous version of PS, I had full control over the Crop tool. I could control the width and length of the cropping area I chose.
I now have a new version, CS5 Extended, but the Crop tool only works in an "automatic" way. The tool itself selects the box shape, which is never the shape I want. How I can rectify this?
AutoCAD 2010 :: Multileader Align Tool Works Only When Labels Are Left Justified
Apr 27, 2011I'm using the Multileader Align tool for my labels and it works great as long as my labels are left justified. I noticed this issue has been brought up before but didn't know a way to make it work for right justified text.
My problem is this: right justified text will not justify properly. It will not justify the same way that left justified text does. If you can follow this, leaders that have text that are left-justified will align according to their leader lines and everything looks neat and correct. The leaders that are right justified do not align properly because they align to the left side of the text. See the following screen shots and you'll understand...

Feb 1, 2013I downloaded the trial version of Lightroom 4 onto my Macbook pro and when I try to use the adjustment brush the cursor that normally turns to a brush when you hover any part of the photograph only changes at the very edges of the picture. When I move the cursor towards the center of the photo the cursor changes back to an arrow and I cannot make any adjustments. If I start an adjustment at the edge of the photo I can drag it into the center of it, but I cannot release and then do any further painting in that region. At the point where the brush icon changes the cursor becomes a small arrow that points to the edge of the frame and if I hold down the left mouse button and move to the transition line it becomes a double facing arrow, I can then drag the area I can work in to make it even smaller, but I cannot increase the area.

Mar 4, 2013My scroll wheel no longer works after installing Lightroom 4.4. In all previous versions, I was able to use my Logitech scroll device to adjust the sliders in the development panel. In the 4.4 version, the scroll wheel no longer works and instead of adjusting an individual slider, it scrolls the whole development panel up and down. I did uninstall the mouse driver and reinstalled but that did not work. The mouse works just fine in all other programs. I think it is a bug with the 4.4 version. I am operating in Windows 7.

there is quite a lot of green noise on the image. Particularly the sofa. See below:-
I've run noise filters which can fix it a bit but to be honest it mainly just blurs the green into the black and makes the image that bit less sharp.
Photoshop :: Tool Panel Stuck Behind Menu Bar
Apr 11, 2012For some reason, the top of my tool pallet/panel is now stuck behind the menu bar at the top of the screen. I can't access the top several tools or the "grab" strip at the top of the panel that allows me to re-position the panel. I've tried a number of workspace commands, closed and opened the tools panel, and restarted PS, but the panel stays put. how to reset the panels or otherwise get a handle on this thing?

Mar 12, 2012Only just noticed this one since upgrading from LR4 Beta to LR4. First session developing a few shots taken over the weekend (.CR2 RAW files). When I only have a few shots, all taken in the same environment, I tend to just get the first one right and then Copy the Develop settings, and paste them onto each subsequent shot.
What happens on my 64 bit Windows 7 box - the first time I paste the settings to any shot, I get the task bar appear at the top right, which after a brief time changes to 'task completed' - but no settings have been pasted. If I then paste the settings it works the second time.
Lightroom :: Command Click To Select Multiple Folders - No Longer Works

In all previous versions of LR, I could select non contiguous folders (or collections or a mix of the two) by holding down the Command key (using a Mac). That doesn't work in LR4. Also, when I create virtual copies (which I also do all the time), the copies lose the name of the original. They are simply name "copy 1."
