I run Lightroom 4.2 under Windows 7. All went well until this morning the development module showed a greyed out screen and LR stopped working. All other modules seem to work well. I tried a reinstallation but that doesn't work, nor does a return to 4.0 work.
View 1 RepliesI'm been humming along just fine in Lightroom 5 until this morning. I might explain that I have been using an old iMac. The speeds been killing me so I decided to use my new MacBook Pro and get a display with it. So this weekend I set up the MacBook Pro with LR presets etc. I use an exteral HD for my photos. Since that drive was getting pretty full. I purchased a new one and copied my photos to it. In LR on the MacBook Pro, I clicked "find my photo" and it did. After that I did some editing and exporting. This morning, I couldn't export or edit in the development module. I still have my old iMac installed and I noticed I can't export from it either. Not sure what I need to do to use it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using LR5.2 successfully for a few months now but all of a sudden I cannot see the basic settings in the Development Module. Specifically, I am not able to change Color Temperature, exposure, recovery, Clarity (very important to me), etc. I shoot RAW 100%, so I wonder if i accidentally hit some wrong key to make those basic features hidden?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to select all photo's in the development module and then apply a preset (i.e. sharpen for faces) and it would apply to all photo's, a mass edit would occur. Now when I select all and add a preset, it only applies to the photo being viewed at that time, i can no longer do mass edits in this manner. Is there a setting I am missing which allows mass editing in Development module? I am using Lightroom 5 for Mac. I edit 100's of photo's at once, and I like to add sharpening to all at the end rather than clicking each one at a time.

Now that I have it i am working on a class project that's due on Monday . I was in the process of making adjustment in the Development module when it suddenly disappeared. What can I do to get it back up? I looked under "Tools" and Efit biut cannot activete any of the features that I need to work on these photos.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn LR you can set the left and right panels, in the development module, to solo mode, and I think nearly everyone does. My problem is that I lose the mode each time I leave LR and have to reset it each time I enter LR. Normally the panel’s stays in solo mode and in previous versions have. I’ve been using LR since the public beta way back in 12/2006.
Why my LR doesn’t stay in solo mode or how I can get it to stay in solo mode?
I just updated to Camera Raw8.3 and now when I'm in LR5.3 and attempt to edit an image in PS5, the image does not move from LR to PS. Should I just go back to a previous CR version?

View 11 Replies View RelatedMy scroll wheel no longer works after installing Lightroom 4.4. In all previous versions, I was able to use my Logitech scroll device to adjust the sliders in the development panel. In the 4.4 version, the scroll wheel no longer works and instead of adjusting an individual slider, it scrolls the whole development panel up and down. I did uninstall the mouse driver and reinstalled but that did not work. The mouse works just fine in all other programs. I think it is a bug with the 4.4 version. I am operating in Windows 7.

In all previous versions of LR, I could select non contiguous folders (or collections or a mix of the two) by holding down the Command key (using a Mac). That doesn't work in LR4. Also, when I create virtual copies (which I also do all the time), the copies lose the name of the original. They are simply name "copy 1."
View 5 Replies View RelatedOnly just noticed this one since upgrading from LR4 Beta to LR4. First session developing a few shots taken over the weekend (.CR2 RAW files). When I only have a few shots, all taken in the same environment, I tend to just get the first one right and then Copy the Develop settings, and paste them onto each subsequent shot.
What happens on my 64 bit Windows 7 box - the first time I paste the settings to any shot, I get the task bar appear at the top right, which after a brief time changes to 'task completed' - but no settings have been pasted. If I then paste the settings it works the second time.
I had 3 updates through the so-called cloud. They were bridge CC, Photoshop CC and an extension mgr update to CS6. After installing the updates Photoshop CC no longer works. It boots up but all selections do nothing. Even closing PS cc won't work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedChanging the UI Font size in Prefs>Interface>Text no longer works. It did work after I installed CS6 - I was able to change to the Medium setting, and change it back to Small. Now the actua text size stays at Small, even though it is set to medium. This afterafter I restart PSx64.
I have deleted CS6x64 prefs. Updated today - (says 13.0.1, though I believe the updater said it would update Photoshop to 13.0.1.1)
Windows Appearance and Personalization>Display is set to the default - Smaller. I wonder it may have to do with changing that size - I had tried setting that to Medium - 125%, but set it back to the default Smaller - 100%. Not sure when the PS UI text size stopped working.
I hope that my mentioning changing the Windows 7 Display from 100% to 125% and then back to 100% will give someone a clue.

All of a sudden the Move Tool no longer works. When I try to move an layer on the screen with the Move Tool it moves slightly then jumps back to its original position. The only way I can move a layer at the moment is to use Free Transform, which is not ideal.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAs soon as I installed photoshop cs6 Myriad Pro stopped working. This sucks because its my main font choice. The flyer I was working on was built with Myriad pro and now the text layers need to be redone. I see myriad arabic but this is a major inconvenience considering all of my files need to be reformated.
I search my windows 7 font folder for meriad pro and it doesnt show up. I try to reinstall myriad pro and it says its already installed. I got the program "Font Expert" and it does show myriad pro is installed and ready to go. Illustrator CS3 does not let me use Myriad pro now either.
Something has happened and I can no longer use the DEL key to erase objects. In fact, to erase anything I have to first click the erase button then select the objects to erase.
Is there a command to correct this issue?

how to airbrush. I have been using it since. Copying layer adding noise and blur and then layer masking and painting with the brush tool. All of the sudden the last step no longer works. I paint and no layer shines through. I must have done somthing to a setting.
View 1 Replies View RelatedPreviously when editing a group in isolation mode you could double-click a group and then the individual objects in that group become editable. Now in CS6 a group remains grouped in isolation mode, so to edit individual objects the group needs to be manually ungrouped while in isolation mode, then you have to remember to group them again before exiting isolation. This is a very un-useful new development. CS6, Windows 7 x64.
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy Edit/Fill command (shift + F5) has suddenly turned into Grow. I've seen other people with this problem and the only solution I have seen up to now is to use (shift + delete) instead. That to me isn't a solution, it completely disrupts my workflow to try using a new key command that should be something else. I've also read about people deleting preferences, restarting, etc, and I've tried all of those things. I did have some issues with my Function keys because of something I had clicked in my finder preferences but I fixed that issue, and it seems that only Photoshop has lingering problems. And of course, my PSD keyboard shortcuts all look fine, nothing has changed there so something is overriding the keyboard shortcuts. Could it be something in my Photoshop preferences that I'm overlooking?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just updated to 13.0.4 at the end of last week. Today I went to use the Color Range command and it will not select any colors. The Eyedropper tool works fine. Adjusting the fuzziness and other options doesn't make a difference. Nor does selecting multiple instances of a color to add to the selection. Since I use this command regularly, I feel confident that it is a bug with the update and I would love to hear of any possible fixes. Or, is it possible to downgrade back to 13.0.3? I didn't realize how much I used this and it's a major inconvenience.

My foregorund pallette is X'd out (i.e. a circle with a slash through it). I have this also when trying todraw a poly like a circle or rectangle.
Also background eraser does not erase fully anymore.

I've been running AutoCAD 2006 since it came out and have been running it on Windows 7 since it came out. I've never had any problem runnning my LT version. Today, all of a sudden I cannot type text in the multi-tex box. The cursor moves in the box but nothing is shown. I click okay but cannot select anything. It's like the cursor is moving but not laying down text. I've changed the different fonts, colors and even changed my background from Black to While and still cannot see any text.
My single line text tool continues to work just not the multi-line text box.
I also tried restarting my computer and tried opening existing files. The multi-line box problem occurs on other files to.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy setup is a ATI FirePro v4900 connected to two monitors: an Eizo CG276 and an old second monitor. I would like to get the Eizo to display 10-bit colors in PS CS6 under a 64-bit Windows 7.
After setting everything up, I am at a point where Lightroom 4.4 displays the notorious ramp.psd file (see below) without banding in the develop module, hence I assume 10-bit is working there. In Photoshop, however, I had no success so far to get 10-bit to work.
Here's what I've done so far:
I set everything up as described here [URL] ...........
Summed up, I did:
1) enable 10-bit mode in ATI driver and rebooted -> checked and this is still enabled after reboot
2) open PS CS6 and enable "advanced" drawing mode and 30-bit display in the "performance" options and rebooted -> checked and this is still enabled after reboot
I verified that the monitor runs in 10-bit mode using Monitor Asset Manager 2.6 [URL]. It states that Color bit depth is "10 bits per primary color", which is what I want.
Then I tried to open the ATI 10-bit test file ramp.psd [URL]. In Photoshop it shows banding. As I've read that Lightroom 4's develop module uses 10-bit, I opened the file there and it had no banding.
The only troubleshooting I could find for 10-bit colors in PS was this post [URL] ... however I do not have desaturation set in the color preferences of PS, hence it does not apply to my problem.
Light Room 4.2 Crashes. I was setting up Light Room and accidently clickede on Development. The program then crashed. I shut the program down and tried to start it up several times with the same result.

My computer has crashed at some point, and I lost everything, but I managed to save the original RAW file.
Is it possible to recover the development settings from the JPG file, in order to re-edit the orignal RAW file (so I could make changes right from where I left off)?
After importing to Lightroom and doing some developent changes, I decided to restart my whole Catalog. There are no XMP files for the changes I made, but surprisingly it shows after re-importing the images back into Lightroom (using "Add"), some files show as previously being edited, so now the original files (in split view) show as the last edit.
Is there any way to clear all changes made to revert back to a clean original file ?
The colors of my cr2 files are wrong in the developement part of Lightroom. Dark pixel are turnes into blue ones, bright/white pixels are turned into red ones.
The problem does not occur if I only watch the pictures in the libary mode
