Since converting from Lightroom 4 to 5 I the Process Version warning icon does not appear in the lower right of the preview panel when the file was processed using a 2003 or 2010 version. How can I re-establish the icon?
View 2 RepliesI work in a studio where we use a DNG workflow - delivering DNG files to prepress. We are currently upgrading to LR4 to support some new cameras. Long story short, our prepress provider is using PSCS5 (and ACR 6.7) which means we'll need to keep our work in process 2010 for the forseeable future.
Given that I'll be sticking with process 2010 for a while, is there a way to turn off/disable the little exclamation point version warning?
My system is Win 7 64bit Home premium. See the screen capture.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI successfuly imported my LR 3 catalog to LR 4. At first, all photos looked as like as I had them processed in LR 3.
But by entering the developing module, sometimes there comes the suprise: After LR 4 loads the data, it changes in some cases the NEF-photo suddenly to a complete different look (for instance much brighter)! From that time on the preview and even the LR 3 snapshots are likewise displayed in the altered way. By the way, this happens before I change the photo to the 2012 process version! (When I change it to the 2012 process version, LR 4 uses the altered photo, not the in LR 3 originally processed one.)
I didn't find out yet, which photos are affected. It seems to me that the problem appears mainly with the more post processed ones (for instance sunset and dusk photos where I had massively to reduce the contrast).
If I want to share my presets shoudl I click "process version" when creating my preset? what happens if I click it (I am using lightroom 5) and somone uses lightroom 3 or 4 with the preset? What if I DON'T click it and they use lightroom 3 or 4 with the preset.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using LR for ages at work and recently got offered a free full version of LR 4 by Amazon Vine programme. I happily installed it on my laptop and imported my presets which I mostly created myself.I was shocked to find that they look completely different on LR 4 (last version I used was 3.4) and found out that this is due to the new process version.
I have to tweak a LOT and still am not satisfied with the results. The main problem seems to be that ALL photos start with a linear curve, no matter which custom curve the preset contains. Is this a bug or a feature?It is really getting on my nerves and I am considering to go back to good old LR 3 again. Questions I have:
1. Could this problem be due to the fact that I did not to an upgrade but installed a completely new version of LR3?
2. Whenever I google I find the hint that there should be a dialog menue like this URL... this dialog never appears on my LR version. Or it did for the first time and I clicked "Don't show again" - I can not remember If I did chose to not show it again - can I redo it? Maybe it would make the tweaking easier if I had a preview which I absolutely don't have on my LR version.
I have just purchased an Olympus OMD EM5. When I download images to Lightroom (v4.4) I have to manually convert to Process 2012. Am I doing something wrong? Why does this not happen automatically?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using AE CS6 on Mac OS 10.7.4 upon release and updated to 11.0.1 when it was released as well, so for a while, but just today I started to get this warning-
"Ray-tracing on the GPU requires CUDA version 4.0 or later. Ray-tracing will use the CPU until you install the latest supported CUDA driver."
I am running a supported Quadro 4000 with the latest CUDA driver, 4.2.7, and about the only thing I know of that I have installed recently was the update for SpeedGrade today. Why I'm now getting the warning?
Sometimes when loading some DWGs, I get this Warning (plaese see the French JPG capture) saying that maybe I could need : Korean, Japan, Chine, etc language module !
I would like to bypass this Warning automatically because I open these DWGs with a Script to do some automatic actions and I resave them ...
At the Warning question : Do you want to open --> YES
I don't think that I can control this warning (--> Yes) through a special System Variable !?
Publish works as expected in foreground, uses proper page setup plot style and color table an dthe results are black on white.But when using PUBLISH in background it shows an error for each ""WARNING: Incompatible or missing plot style"" and the created PDF's are in color instead of balck and white.

How can I do this several (or all) at a time, instead of individually editing each one, using my Photoshop Elements 11 or 12? I cannot find an action for this in the action menu. If not possible within Elements, is there anything "free," or do I have to get Creative Suite or the like?

As the title says I am running a AI -> JPG export through the batch action process and my files are saved without an extension. ie. "file" not "ai", "jpg", "png" etc.
However, yes adding the extension manually or through third party software results in a perfect jpg as I required but that step should not be needed. What am I missing?
Oh, and yes I have tried to change the destination folder to something completely empty to avoid duplicate issues but I still get the same result. If I run the simple "Export" portion of my action the file is exported with a file extension without issue, only it fails that step when running the batch process.
(Also i've used photoshop batch process for years so I do have some knowledge that i'm doing this correctly but this is my first attempt with Illustrator.)
My CS4 shortcut icon has disappeared from my desktop and I have a generic Windows 7 icon left instead. I have tried rebooting to re-create the proper shortcut icon but always get just the generic one. I am running Windows 7 RC1 and have no problems with CS4. Grateful for any ideas on how to get back the proper CS4 icon.

There's an empty space and when moused over it says Adobe Photoshop CS6 but it's just a blank space. The icon is missing from the Applications folder too.

Yesterday, I mistakenly opened up the version 3 icon and put in several hours worth of image work, metadata changes, and created a couple of collections.
1. What will be the easiest way for me to update the changes to my version 4 catalog without undoing work that I have done in that from the last couple of weeks?
PSPx6 64-bit runs fine on my computer, but a few weeks ago, the shortcut icon on my desktop (installed by installer program) "defaulted" to a generic-looking "document" icon that communicates nothing. The original icon with a camera and "64-bit" in it disappeared, and I can't figure out how to get it back. Deleting the generic desktop icon and re-creating a shortcut from program files/corel/corel paintshop pro x6 (64-bit) doesn't restore the original icon either. Sounds trivial, but a dumb-looking icon in the system tray (when I have a lot of work going on) doesn't work for me find PSPx6 when I have minimized it. Plus, I wonder if the missing icon isn't sign something else is "broken" as well? (diagnosis, PSPx6 32-bit is also on this laptop, as is PSP pro x3.)
View 3 Replies View RelatedI loaded 2013 Civil 3D and I customized my Ribbon with Zoom Commands I use frequently; everything looked fine...I changed the Workspace to Planning & Analysis and cutomized my Ribbon to include the Zoom Commands but a Button Icon for ZOOM_TO_POINT came up with a cloud & question mark. I went to look for the Icon Image & I don't see it. I made the mistake of changing the Icon to another hoping I could change it back but it's not there. I went to the 2012 verison & the Button Icon is there...first icon listed. Where are the icons in 2012 so I can drag & drop image into 2013?
The icon has a point symbol with a magnifying glass. I've checked other computers and the same thing. Can't find the Image Icon for ZOOM_TO_POINT. It shows up when you load the software but if you want to edit it...it's not there in the CUI Button Icons.
In ACA 2011 I have the project browser icon. This is easy to find and use in the 2011 quick access toolbar.
When I open the "Customize user interface" I find and select "Project Browser", then I see under the properties of the command I only see "Display" and "Advanced" nothing else is listed. This command is quite odd compared to other commands.
However, in ACA 2013 this icon is completely missing, I cannot find it in the quick access toolbar, when I search in the "Customize user interface" command list, I cannot find "Project Browser" in the search field of the command list.
How do I find the command for project browser so that I can drag it / steal it from another .cuix file?
Bonus Question: How do I stop the sheet set manager from always showing up? I use the sheets tab of the project navigator all the time.
Just installed inventor 2013 and the icon to launch vault is missing from the ribbon where it used to be in v 2012. Also when i try to open a file the quick link to vault is not there. i have installed vault basic 2013 and it opens up fine and my files are in it. Do i have to create a link?

I have a problem wit Revit 2014 from BDS Premium. I don't have 3D default view icon in Quick Access Toolbar and I can not add it. I tried to right click on QAT and customize it but unfortunately 3D view is not in the list and it can't be added by righ clicking on the icon.

If I import iPhoto photo’s directly within Organizer I loose photo information.
