Feb 4, 2013I have been using Photoshop CS2 for many years and have constantly "lived with" a bug in Bridge whereby, instead of an image thumbnail, there is just an icon shown.
This is the same icon that appears before Bridge has read all the images to produce the thumbnails - but some of them get "stuck" and there seems to be no way to make Bridge "read" the image and produce the thumbnail. Pressing "View" "Refresh" (or PF5) does not work. Is there any fix I can download for this?

Dec 2, 2013Why can't Windows Explorer show thumbnail previews of DNG's on my Windows 8.1 64bit Pc. I assume is has something to do with not having the DNG codec. However, on Adobe's website it says their DNG codec only works on Windows 7.

Lightroom :: 4 Collection Thumbnail Badge / Icon?
Jan 16, 2013The Thumbnail Badge for Collections is not showing on most of my images which are in Collections. Even when i put a new image in a Collection. The Thumbnail Badges in the Library View Options is checked off. When I right click on an image which I know is in a Collection(s) and choose "Go to Collection" it will show mw the Collection(s) that image is in but the Thumbnail does not show. The other Badges do show. LR3 which I still have on my PC works fine.

Mar 7, 2008I have Photoshop Elements 5.0 (windows). On my Organizer page, I am missing the bottom row of functions (which I have seen pictured on the Help Center). This is making it difficult to navigate and organize.
I am missing: Arrangement menu, thumbnail size slider, full screen view button, date view, map icon. The bottom-most item is the 'click here to add caption' under the photo. I looked all over the tool bars. Am I missing something obvious or do I have a software problem?

Apr 11, 2012We have a problem with long (like 10 minute) saves.
If we go to Tools / Options / Open and Save / Thumbnail Preview Settings, in the "Sheets and Views" panel, the "Performance-Accuracy Slider" is set all the way to the right, which the Information Panel lists as "Update thumbnails when saving drawing".
If we manually slide it to the center, listed in the Information Panel as "Update thumbnails when accessed", the Save times become less than a minute.
This setting is not saved and we need to reset it each time each drawing is opened.
There has to be a setting because MY STATION did not have this problem with ANY drawing until our Supplier's Support Team got onto my computer yesterday. NOW it's a problem on my computer also.
Setting the UPDATETHUMBNAIL to "0" works, but then we have no Previews.
Setting the UPDATETHUMBNAIL to "1" does not work.
3ds Max :: Way To View File As Thumbnail In Windows
Jul 5, 2011on WinXp and i think Max 8, you used to be able to see a max file as a thumbnail in windows. This meant if you wanted to merge a character, for instance, you didn't have to click though 50 files whilst looking at the preview window, you just viewed the folder by thumbnail and quickly grabbed the right file.
After going to max 9 (again, not too sure on versions) and vista we lost that ability, I posted around at the time but found no solutions.
So, I'm on windows 7 64 bit now and Max 2011 and was curious if this feature was ever fixed or even addressed/dismissed formally by Autodesk?

May 15, 2012Just installed the CS 6 of Photoshop on my Windows 7 PC.
It seems, that the small icon for arranging like two or more open windows (files) have been disappeared in CS 6. I only can arrange them via the drop down "Windows" which I think is one click to much, as I use this feature very often. Is this gone for good or is there a way to bring this icon back?

May 13, 2009My CS4 shortcut icon has disappeared from my desktop and I have a generic Windows 7 icon left instead. I have tried rebooting to re-create the proper shortcut icon but always get just the generic one. I am running Windows 7 RC1 and have no problems with CS4. Grateful for any ideas on how to get back the proper CS4 icon.

Nov 29, 2012I thought I had this figured out but it appears to occur somewhat randomly. Since upgrading to Windows 8 when I export files that I have imported from Canon raw .CR2 for some files it gives an error that "the file could not be written" and lists the original source .CR2 file name. It does not do it everytime but once it happens it happens everytime for that file. When exporting 10 JPG files for example only 3 of them may have this issue. The file still exports and creates the JPG file and the only issue with the exported file appears to be that it did not create the preview thumbnail.
I have tried importing the files into new catalogs, writing to different folders etc but it still happens.

May 23, 2012Is there a way in Revit to export or import settings much like a profile in AutoCAD and how I set up the icon to point at that profile when the program opens? I would like to know how be able to customize where the program looks for the families and other items over the network, so all users can see the same thing, in options.
Attached is the properties of the AutoCAD icon. The Target is set-up to point to the "AutoCAD Architecture (US Imperial)" profile. I would like to do something similar in the Revit icon.
